I had the idea to do this exact project about a year ago, and have since discovered that it was certainly not a unique idea. Of the many articles and videos I've consumed since then, you're the first I've seen to create the trays in that way instead of just gluing them on to the flag. I don't know why I hadn't considered that as an option, but I consider it inspired and will definitely be doing that in mine. Thank you.
Aw wow, thanks man! To be honest, it was born out of not wanting to be responsible for gluing that many tiny shelves in arrow straight line! Haha! I figured I’d let the jointer and clamps do the precision work for me! “Something, something, something... ingenuity is the child of laziness!”
Hey justin ackroyd, there are three components to the stripes: 1) flat darker stripes, 2) flat lighter stripe and 3) shelf lighter stripe. If i remember correctly, i believe #1 ended up at about 2.125” x 35.25” x .75”; #2 was something like 1.625” x 35.25” x .625”; and #3 was cut to 1.125” x 35.25” x .625” and then rotated 90 degrees so that the total width of the light strips ended up near 2.25” ...I hope that wasn’t TOO convoluted! Haha!
Serious shop envy and a shared affinity for the Sam Adams summer variety pack. Cheers!
Thanks! And cheers!🍻

Very nice work. Thank you for sharing. New sub.
Thanks, Michael!
Awesome
What are the measurements of the stripes and the star section.
