This is the wisdom that Kenyans and Africans at large were robbed and were deleted permanently during colonisation and after were 'supposedly' gain independence. We are now separated in lines of tribe, race, nepotism and poverty/riches. We forget any corruption or theft is not against one tribe or political affiliation, it's Kenya and their citizens as a whole. Come to think of it, why continue giving loans to a corrupt country governed by the same persons responsible for looting a country????? If the reverse was to happen in the west or even within the banking systems in new york or wherever, they would not continue serving in any public office let alone acquiring loans on behalf of countries/financial institutions.
Until wisdom is installed and instilled in Kenyans and Africa at large, our suffering and poverty as a nation and a continent will prevail while our masters eat and drink from us while pulling the strings.

7:26 explains why Ruto has not disputed or accused Uhuru as the sole person responsible for the mysterious debt. He was part of it as explained by the disagreement he had with the late Juma.
That is the money CS Rotich was availing to him for free donations in Churches until Uhuru changed the notes. As long as Ruto is in power, nobody will be sued over this.
I hope 20 years later, someone comes for their wealth the way it happened 40 years later to former Angola's President's family, José Eduardo dos Santos. Many people were assassinated in an attempt to cover up corruption during his tenure, but eventually his son was jailed in Angola, the daughter Isabel dos Santos is in exile avoiding arrest, her wealth freezed, former personal banker killed in his garage, and her husband died in a mysterious car acccident in Dubai.
Enjoying life at the expense of other poor Kenyans may look glamorous while it lasts. History has demonstrated that one day, political life built on illigalities crumble, and when it does, the oppressed get a better future, while the oppressors languish in sorrow. It will be a joy to witness that day in Kenya.

Why would a lender deposit money into an account which is not a CBK exchequer account? That is careless lending. How do they prove that the country owes them money? Something is not adding up. Wanjigi evaded this question from Nduu.

    • @ajwango478
      @ajwango478 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

*@theroadtoelectric4051* The lender wires the loan amount to the account of the borrower as provided by the borrower. That, is the full discharge of his duty and obligation in that matter.
The veracity of the account details are the problem of the receiver of the funds and the lender is under no obligations to police the accounts of the receiver.
The buyer of a bond is, essentially, giving the seller of the bond, a loan; but unlike other loans where the terms and conditions may sometimes be quite onerous, the proceeds of a bond sale are deployed by the seller without undue restrictions.
The lender is only interested in getting his money back, plus interest. And so long as he has the security (the bond and bond coupons for interest,) in exchange for the money, that's all that's needed. How the borrower uses the funds, is his sole business.
*Nobody is going to baby-sit a borrower, or teach him morals, so the question of irresponsible lending is not relevant, at all.*

This plan was simple. Get a loan in the name of GOK. Keep the cash and leave GOK to pay for it. Now they have the money while we're paying heavily with interest. It is Uhuru who should be paying for the debt. The cash never left New York but stayed in his Pandora account there.

I guess the account open at JB Morgan or city may be the role of investment bank in sovereign bond issue. The core issue is to check for evidence of transfer of the gathered finance to the nations check account. It warrants a foreign bank to gather the resources out of the local currency. This does not oppose the presence of fraud but just to ensure we know it is possible have a foreign account within an investment bank to support the underwriting process.

BUT he should have used his authority to deal with corrupt officers and Kenyans who were helping with these kind of theft for the country he was it's president without favour. Also we have the bad habits of Kenyans fighting for a thief because he or she is their tribe. They say it is their tribe being fought and yet he did not steal with his tribe. Very, very unfortunate. We all should wake up and fight this animal called corruption. One person cannot. BUT the president must, ready and committed to the fight including the judiciary the mother of all the problems we are having in Kenya.

So, it's only worth negotiating the terms of surrender?! How cute!
If we continue on this trajectory, the country will come crashing down. These kinds of dubious little (or not-so-little) actions do add up, building the pressure in society; and at one point the 'dam will burst'.
There are already 56 (fifty six) million of us in Kenya, if the figures are to be trusted. Now, juxtapose that with this:- the people who irregularly benefited from the 1billion USD constitute less than 0,00000001% of that population, and yet the whole population is supposed to pay back the loan, plus interest, at the expense of their meals and health, with nothing to show for it.
Let the beneficiaries enjoy the party while it lasts, but let them also know that the end might not be very pretty, judging by the dynamics in our society.
Besides, most of that illicit loot is probably hidden out of the country. History shows that when the owners will croak, finally; the money will end up benefitting only the jurisdictions where it's hidden or invested. Even their children will not find it an easy task to access those deposits or investments. There are countries, called "Safe Havens", (Orwellian style), which specialize in dispossessing the stupid Africans who steal from their people and go to park the money in those so-called "Safe Havens". They are also aware in those refuges that the money has been siphoned off irregularly; stolen, so they lie in wait and at the opportune time, will pounce and take it for their own benefit.
Many celebrated and powerful African thieves have gone this route of ignominy. Where is Gen. Sani Abacha's money now; Eduardo Dos Santos' money?!; what about Mobutu's money?!
Africans should stop this folly, irrationality, grand theft and mindless primitive accumulation.
They're impoverishing their own people, while making the rich elsewhere (far from home) get richer. That's all there is to it.
