    I’ve used a cheap slide hammer similar to that one.
    Broke some cheap tabs that came with the kit, and since tabs are plastic I don’t think the slide hammer breaking there would be a problem. However, as you stated the design makes pulling awkward, and it does unscrew when you don’t want it to.
    For an inexpensive blending hammer I got one with interchangeable tips, and can just get nicer tips I want for it…a nice leather tip costed more than the hammer.
    Currently waiting on some whale tails in the mail, and will probably fabricate my own 4’-5’ “hail rod” because they are quite expensive for such a simple tool.

      All PDR tools are expensive, that's a fact. But if you buy a good quality tool it should last you for ages and it will bring much more money in then you spent on it.

    Would have loved to see them compared to a Body panel. They are cheap but could they get the job done kind of comparison. Just found your Channel and subscribed. Good Stuff!!

    • @vidicz
      @vidicz  ปีที่แล้ว

      They could get some job done...but when it comes to bigger more complex stuff they would not because they flex. We are talking about getting out a really tiny dent. But you will struggle with them much more then with a professional tools

    What would of been good was if you got an old panel with dents on and use the cheap vs the expensive

    would you test the cheap Chinese 24 inch basic pusher rods? they cost about $25 and use a metric thread pattern. A single bend 90 degree and a double bend would be my choices.
    also, why can't you sand and polish the plastic tips your complaining about? don't you have to polish your tips as they wear? keep up the good job; i like your videos.

    • @vidicz
      @vidicz  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Where to find those? Why not sand and polish? They should come out of the box ready to use. Its like buying a new car and then you have to put the tires on in order to drive it out of a dealership :) I rarely have to polish my tips
      Thank you for watching!

    I agree with you, I learned the hard way on these cheap tools. The slide hammer is not assembled correctly. It will configure like yours. The aluminum hammer works ok, the glue gun is not good for mobile work, the rods suck(these are the worse I have seen), the threads are all M18, not 5/16-18. You can get a copy of a dent dial that is very good from china, but it is metric as well. Moral of the story, if you are going to be a professional, buy professional tools.

    But your not going to be pushing against any door dings with that much pressure ; whats the point of bending them with your full strength ?

    • @vidicz
      @vidicz  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You have no idea how much preassure is used when pushing dents do you? :) Trust me much more preassure gets applied to some of the dents

      No , I don't at all. I don't know jack about pdr. I have removed some small dents in the fender with a rubber object and slowly rolled them out , but that's some backyard ghetto stuff. lol

    • @vidicz
      @vidicz  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you have never pushed you wouldn't know the force you use and the pressure you put on this tools sometimes.
