@@oreospeedwaggindoesamerica6078 Climate is getting warmer. In the last year, 3-4 snow fell in Poland. If there was frost, it was minimal. Generally speaking, it was above zero for most of the winter. Cold winters in Poland are a myth. It is much colder in countries located more to the north and east, e.g. Norway, Sweden, Finland, Russia, etc.
@@jus4795 And in Russia in Yakutsk it was recently -50 degrees Celsius. In Poland, if it is frost, it is usually a single-digit number. Sometimes it happens that at night the temperature drops to -15, -20 or -25 degrees Celsius.
Cool but you got it a bit wrong, firstly winters can be cold as to -12 Celsius but summers are super hot 28-35 Celsius on June ( like now 31) and July. Praga Północ is beautiful place with huge amount of vintage buildings and old factories but its actually most dangerous one. Praga Południe with Saska Kępa to be exact is Hipster love with all small streets cafes and so on. Have there been any groups created for meeting other Expats in the different countries? I'm tempted to do this and make my money go further, but going it alone sounds a bit daunting.
There certainly have been. Probably the most accessible ones are found on Facebook. Just search the word "expat" + the city you want to go to/live in and see what results emerge. - Josh & Kalie
So it's a basic decent picture, and the list is generally good except for a few minor inadequacies. One thing is off though: the weather. While winters are long, they're not very cold anymore, as it's rare for the temperature to drop below mid-20s during the day. More and more often it's not even going to be that low, and stay in the thirties these days. Anyway, it's not so much the temperature that will affect you as an expat, it's more about the lack of sun. The days end at like 3 pm in the winter here. Summers are way hotter than it was said in the video though, and the days last till 10 pm. I've spent over a 30 of summers in the described city but I am yet to see one with temperatures being in the 70s all throughout. It's gonna be in the 80's most of the time, with at least some part of the summer going as high as mid-90s, and every couple of years its gonna reach a hundred. Poland is on the frontline of global warming, so the summers are getting hotter by the year, and often times there not really a winter anymore, which we Poles actually find sad, as having all four seasons fully blown was kinda like a local specialty.

Thanks, Mohammed. We appreciate it. That's an interesting idea to be honest. We're not sure that we could source the necessary information to make a good enough video though.
You forgot to mention that you have to pay for restrooms in stations and condiments in restaurants if you want to use them. I know because I was all over Poland. Something we don't have in the U.S.
Hard to tell because everyone in Poland has medical insurance (even if you’re unemployed). For the fereigners I think the easiest option would be to go to work or start your own small business (self emolyment) and then for the first 2 years you pay around 300Pln per month (70$) and you’ll have full medical/social insurance. After 2 years it’s around 1200Pln (300$).
I would say no. I drove a van as part of work in Poland for several months and there are a few reasons i would say it isn't a good idea. First is van life is much more suited to the United States, we have big roads, most are not toll roads and free parking is abundant. What's more is that large vehicles are better accommodated in the US. Getting through the airport parking lot in a van was a living nightmare because it was built for Europe's compact cars. In addition, prices for parking can be pretty steep and that's if you can find a good spot. If you want cheap or free parking you have to go out of the city. You could ride a tram or bus into the city, but it would kind of defeat the purpose IMO. Next is driving. You need to get an international driving permit before you leave the US ($20) or else you will need to pass a test and exchange your US listened for a polish lisence. In doing so they will destroy your US lisence and you will need to get a new one printed in the US.

I was never of the opinion that Warsaw was 'centrally located' as you put it. It might have been true before the Second Wold war but Stalin moved the borders meaning that Warsaw is almost touching the Ukrainian border and Berlin is very close to the Polish border. I would never have judged Warsaw as being centrally located, I would have thought that even Poznan was a better location for a capital city.
@@ExpatsEverywhere Yes, if you want to pay for a visa to visit an exquisite capital city such as Minsk, be my guest.
