Even though I have the luck to be a EU citizen and many things you mentioned do not apply to my situation while moving to Poland, it's a very interesting video to watch and to learn about the difficulties people are facing while seeking a better future... Good luck, hope the best for you all, love from Cyprus
First step is to get information in ambasy of Poland in your home country about rules and permits for emigration including taxes rates costs off living, and most important cultural differences. Good luck everyone.
If it's any consolation many Polish people fell victim for human traffickers (many of these "agencies" were actually Polish based making it even more evil). Whoever thinks they're also victim to that in Poland - I can't vouch I can help but i do have friends in one quite powerful NGO and so I would at least try. And even if that doesn't work out I'd try further. You guys are not alone, always remember that.
fun fact: if the agency has taken your passport and is taking your money contrary to the contract and threatening the police, you are a victim of human trafficking (Art. 115 KK § 22 point 4,5 and 6). As a victim of human trafficking, you should immediately notify the police and cooperate in the proceedings against this "agency". As a victim of human trafficking, you can apply for a permanent residence permit (Art. 195. Aliens Act point 1 subpoint 5). In such cases, these requests are always accepted.
wow that is knowledge and in Kenya thanks for the heads app i believe to always keep in mind experienced people point of view before i make decisions to migrate
Thanks for sharing, this happened to me in Romanian, the worst part of it all is that I'm over working myself and the pay is not worth it at all and also the boss was so mean to us , she sees us as a robot, she have no sympathy, the working agreement was from 8-5pm but we always close 7pm or 7:30 , no break we have to escape to have Lunch, it's a fixed salary thing not hourly pay we were working overtime and weekends for the same amount.,. I filled a complaints to the immigration but no much actions was taken, now I'm at the point of escaping the company, I can't stay in Romanian because the company has refused to give me my noc saying I most complete the contract, and without the Noc I can't get another TRC in another company in Romanian 😢 so I'm planning to leave Romanian totally
All things you said can be true, but not everyone faced this bad part you said. You can't be using one bad example to be discouraging some that are coming ok. We may have bad part, we will always have good part too. Thanks for sharing
Absolutely, I agree with you in totality. There'r many people working in Poland from Kenya and are paid as agreed and treated well and have changed the life of their family in a big way.
When you look for job in Poland: 1) Never do this by agents. Try send your appllication directly to the company you want to work. 2) Always ask if your payement is net or gross (is really important) 3) Always ask for your type of contract it has to be contract of employment ! 4) Polish currency is złoty, there has never been a euro. 5) If you found job by agency don't expect to get an apartment all to yourself, just like you said +4 people. 6) If you are hired by company (not agency) and you have contract employment your work time is always 8 hours/5 days. Agency have other rules and as you said you can work around 12 hours.
Hi Mr Radoslaw do you live in Poland.. I am from Nigeria, I am thinking of using the agent to get job in Poland. Is it possible to process my Work permit visa my self without the agent and the employment
@@thewriterstv6550 no, you cannot get a work permit on your own. you can get a temporary residence permit by yourself, and it is enough to stay in Poland legally. a work permit is issued at the employer's request. when you change jobs, the new employer must obtain a new work permit for you. changing your job or losing it completely does not affect your residence permit. After 4 years of work, you can apply for a permanent residence permit.
@@thewriterstv6550 But ye, the general rule is that getting employed directly by the company you want to work for is a lot safer bet than through agency. But that way you have to fix your work permit by yourself (it shouldnt be THAT hard though).
My dear African people, as an immigrant in a foreign country, I found life was not fair. The jobs that were out there were for people with no skills, not speaking the language, nor education. That goes fir any immigrant. But if you have a family, you work, you come home exhausted with your body aching all over. Then you go to work the next day. As I watched two exhausted people do that everyday, I decided to do better. Finished High School, worked in a job that wore me down, low wage. Started full time college, continued a full time job, and raising to choldren. I made it. Till this day, I wonder how. I didn't go to Gym to work out, between work and school I never had time to get fat. Aricans, if things aren't working out, if something illigal is happening, theur are places where you report it, because, if it's happening to you it's happening to others. The illigal activities need to be addressed. In the mean time get your stuff together, either go somewhere else to work, or return to your own country. Wish you the best. Complaining on this podcast won't solve anything, there are people you can address this in Poland with, if you know for a fact that something illigal is going on. Unfortunately, wherever we go, there's no gravy train. I worked hard fir what I have, so did the rest of my family. Good Luck, we all deserve a better tomorrow!
you have to be very careful with agents offering work or saying that will arange documents and so on... you can loose lot of money... even if somehow you will arrive here you can end working somewhere in nowhere... in the village working 12 or 14 hours a day... imagine what can you do or what can you change... not speaking Polish knowing nothing about the country and legal procedures and the Labor Code.... ofcourse there are many possibilities for a good work here or to run own bizness.... so guys be careful and always check information... regards

Unfortunately foreigners can easily be exploited because they don't know the language, they don't know where they can go...It's not legal to work more than 8h/day without additional pay, but employers profiteer from the situation....And even WITH additional pay, there's still a cap to how many hours you can work over time in a given time period.
