I still consider Pain is Beauty as her masterpiece and I'm happy that I discovered her around the time when it came out. First record I owned of hers
Same here
The violin solo at the end was almost too much for me to bear listening to 😌🎻🎼
What an absolute masterpiece of a song 🖤
This isn't sad, this isn't depressing. This is power emanating from her voice and her words. Pain is truly beautiful and she understands it. To receive it and to give it in all its forms, there is power in that.
Just want to eternally submerge into the melancholy of this.
Her sound just oozes from the speakers. It’s like blood from a wound. Can’t get enough...this and House of Metal.
Easily my favourite Chelsea Wolfe song.
This is a religious masterpiece ~ this particular song says everything
Love this
The violin at the end paired with her voice is just…fucking wow. I wish the violin had like a solo piece on its own 🖤
...and I thought the release-recording of this was soul-crushing but this rendition is absolutely devastating.
This feels like circling your enemy while they still think they’re the predator. And at the end they realize the grave mistake they made of ever having crossed you. 🖤
I still come back to listen to this once a while when i’m feeling agony
Oh my god... what I've been missing all this time...
AMAZING performance of an amazing song
this suffering brings me closer to you
and time is broken and moves slow
your pure heart, your white light
i should be put to death for ever being cruel to you
you washed me clean like no one ever could
come closer now and step right into
the wide mouth, the sharp teeth of the one you love
i'm not the kind of sick that you can fix
don't you worry about me baby
i've got no enemies and i've got no time
the song, we carry on
even though you pushed us down
we carry on
when you try to blind my eyes i can see tenfold
it's nothing that my heart can't take, 'cause your hate has made me strong
and stronger men than you have tried to break me
stronger men than you have tried to break me
leaning toward the golden days
forget about the older days
and everything we left behind
to stand here in another life
we carry on, even though you held us down
we carry on, with the song
we carry on, even though you pushed us down
we carry on
Yo i remember when this came out. So amazin
Hypnotising and truly sad
This deserves more views
A world in which not everyone worships Chelsea as a goddess is an underdeveloped world.
This is amazing ❤️❤️❤️❤️
This is perfect
Stunning
amazing
God this is good.
most depressing song ever love it
it is depressing and it isnt depressing at the same time lol
que puedo decir, melancolía
beautiful
🖤
This wounds me
Is this song sang from the perspective of both the man (first half) and the woman (presumably Chelsea second half)?
I’ve gotten that same vibe
I'm must say I'm grateful for those whom have hurt her. Without them, her beautiful art may have never seen the light of day. Indeed pain can be beautiful.
This is gross. Can't believe how someone can be so egocentric as to be grateful for the pain of someone else.
Stario you're looking at it wrong, in a very destructive way. Chelsea Wolfe is a very talented musician, she is most likely talented because she was partly born with talent, partly worked hard and partly passionate and influenced by other musicians and events in her life. Less pain in her life doesn't mean less beautiful art. A great artist creates great art with whatever influences they have, the pain itself is merely destructive.
this is LATE. but its like what they say about van gogh. that if he wasnt depressed he wouldntve made his paintings. but we argue that if he wasnt depressed he wouldve made MORE paintings
Soo, the stranger things opening theme song was influenced by this masterpiece, right??
Pure darkness.
Stronger women than you have tried to break me.
