Words of Radiance is amazing.....it's even better then Way of Kings if you can imagine that. Your collection is wonderful, being a hardcover collector and fantasy lover, I am a tad jealous! :D
Thank you! OMG I'm freaking out because I haven't read Words of Radiance yet and in October the third book will be released. I wanted to reread The Way of Kings because I have a terrible memory, but now I think I won't have enough time...
I didn't know the Once and Future King was illustrated by Alan Lee. I love the Sword in the Stone cover art. That set must be extremely rare. I cannot find any of the books in English in the United States. You are very lucky :) I am enjoying your bookshelf tour. I can't wait for the other videos.
If its a series, the advantage of ebooks is one can merge them altogether to create a single book! Volumes are only for physical shelves and stringing books together makes them too heavy and awkward to carry.
I love Wheel of Time! I can objectively recognize that it's got lots of flaws, but reading it always brings me back to being in elementary school and first discovering fantasy. Also, I think Robert Jordan does an amazing job inventing cultures. His world is one of the few that I could actually envision myself visiting (and I spent many classes daydreaming myself there). You should pick up the new Barnes and Noble leatherbound Eye of the World if you can find it. I have it and I love it. Also I'm concerned that you don't have enough fantasy.
I've been meaning to check out some books by Brandon Sanderson. The plot lines of his stories are interesting and some of them are so big! I love big books ❤
What a beautiful collection of books you have! I just finished The Final Empire and see myself reading a lot more from Brandon Sanderson in the future. So good!!!
BookCravings I haven't yet. I hear it's even better than Mistborn! I just ordered Elantris - figured I'll read them in publication order. Kind of lol since I already started Mistborn. Have you read them all?
Your videos are dangerous - they have made me add several books to my list to acquire ;). The fourth and fifth parts seem to be 'private' videos for some reason... hmmm...
As edições de capa dura de Wheel of Time valem a pena?
BookCravings when you're reading a beautiful folio or everyman hardcover it's important to wash you're hands before otherwise the edges will turn black.
At one point you showed a Brazilian book and just said "what's the point?" I understand where you're coming from, I'm sure most of the viewers of your channel are probably more interested in the books they're more familiar with, but you can count me as one Estadunidense who's most definitely interested in hearing about any Brazilian or other Portuguese-language recommendations you have (I don't speak Portuguese but I can at least try to find translations).
@@BookCravings Thanks a lot for the reply, I actually have an ebook of that one on my laptop at the moment. I'm just finishing up Yawar Fiesta by the Peruvian author José María Arguedas which I picked up on holiday in Lima a couple years ago and have just gotten around to reading, now I know what to read next.
I understand, in general is dificult to find a good translation, exemples are Henry james books, that some people say that are untranslatable... and it is indeed best, anyways, in the original language, I'll will never read oliver twist in portuguese, because I saw one video with the second translator saying that he had to aproximate the book language to be more relateble to us brazilians, and I find that preposterous. However, I have read the Magic Moutain in portuguese, and the translation seems very good, the translator was german.
There are definitely some great translators! I must confess that I've been trying to finish Magic Mountain for 15 years or so. I know it is an amazing book, but somehow I'm lacking the discipline to finish it and every time I try again I go back to the beginning lol. The only second language I'm confident to read is English, so for these amazing classics written in French, or Russian, of German, I must rely on the work of brilliant translators. =)
Brazil is a wonderful place, with wonderful people, BUT it is also a country with enormous inequalities and problems that date back to the colonization. Recently the country is going through a big recession, so unemployment levels are high, consequently the violence and crime, specially in bigger cities. So many things you see around the internet in this regard may be true. I have traveled to many countries and I can tell you that every country has it’s pros and cons. To me the bigger cons in Brazil are violence, corruption and poverty. But the people are receptive, open and happy despite the daily problems. I would say that Brazil is a country struggling to move on from it’s past and solve its cultural and social issues.
Yeah internet can show worst sides of every country. Finland tends to ranked top 10 best countries in many articles, but it too has it's own problems with booze and thus above average suicide rates in EU, but back to books i love your sci-fi and fantasy collection. Picking a book from those shelves would be like being a kid in candy shop, overwhelmed to what to pick first :)
I feel the same about my books. Sometimes is frustrating having the books and not having enough time to read them. By enough time I mean the entire day lol

I am legend is a superb read, such a good book!
I've heard great think about it!
Great video. Fantasy is my favourite genre. It's always nice to see what others have collected. :)
Fantasy is my favorite genre too, despite the fact that nowadays I only have eyes for classics...
wow. beautiful collection!!! thanks for sharing. I somehow missed the first two videos in this series - going to check them out now
Thks! I hope you like them!
Damn you just added tones of new books and book editions to my list of wants.
OblivionKisame that’s the idea 😄

Thank you so much! I'll try to find more about this collection. Certainly the BR publisher only translated it and released it here.

Sanderson is really talented. I strongly recommend his books. =)

BookCravings haha I know what you mean! I do that all the time! Trying to be better about it but I keep starting new series all the time lol

Olá, eu fiquei bem curiosa em saber onde você morava aqui no Brasil! Estou amando seu canal!
Muito obrigada! Seja bem-vinda!
Amazing collection! When do we get to see the first edition Mists of Avalon video? :)
Soon! I arrived home yesterday and it was waiting for me :)
Yay, good timing haha!
IIIIIII LOOOOST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I want all of them
I like the illustrations in the mistborn HCs... Too Bad the spine of the third doesn't match. 😕
I'm picky with this kind of details too.... I wonder why the publishers don't pay more attention...
Do nada "Dança da Floresta" Kk levei um susto

I sell them or giveaway, but I must confess that I have a hard time parting with my books lol

John Varner nice! I’d recommend “The Posthumous Memoirs of Bras Cubas”.

why do you feel bad reading in portuguese?
Mørke kjøtt I prefer reading books in the original language they were written. That's what I meant.

I understand. Sometimes, reading aloud helps
This has nothing to do with books, but is brazil as bad of a country as it seems to be from stories and videos around internet.
