Thanks! 🌞 Listening makes the workday much calmer.
I was sweatin' that one out for awhile. Learned alot. Thank You Joe.
It was a bit of a challenge!😜 Take it easy Gary.✌️
Commenting now to say I've been at this two hours trying to figure it out on my own. Finally watched your video - I'll post another comment when it's finally done.
The claw is on, the spring has been lasso'd and looped back around. Getting the cover onto the body is the easy part after all that. Thank you Joseph, and thank you @CLEMIATHON (whatever that might translate to).
Again, Thank you! It's interesting, I thought a lasso pulling the spring around for the final wrap would be necessary, but I was pulling on the other end with the right angle bend that anchors into the lid. I suspect the smaller, rounded end is easier.
I notice you laying the lid onto the first claw screw on the table. I always found it easier to tape that little screw into place and then lay the spring and female bolt onto into the claw. You might find that easier.
Definitely a head scratcher and an engineering marvel. The guys who designed these knew their stuff!
Cheers!
You are a genius. I'd been at it for awhile, and was considering super gluing the claw in place and giving the parts a nice soak in acetone after assembly. Got it first try with the tape trick.
