HAHA wow! No longer Che, forevermore I will see Armand singing about his hatred for Eva Peron. Now we know where he went when he disappeared from Louis....as I recall, the time would line up (between Louis and Daniel Molloy) ... also explains why he is so displeased with Eva daring to die.

This staged reprised scene from, and the 1996 film of Evita by far surpassed the Broadway show. Antonio Banderas (almost more plausibly Che Guevara than Che), Madonna and Jonathan Pryce singing and emoting (and the whole ensemble) were fantastic.
Actually that´s a caricature of the real Che...at the Perons period he was a spoiled boy from a rich oligarchic family, much later when he himself threw away his vicious familiar heritage and started travelling along the american continent, he realized what kind of revolutionary power lied in the ideals of justicialism (peronism)....in fact in his later years he visited Peron in exile disguised as a clergyman to avoid the surveillance of the fascist Franco Dictatorship who had isolated Peron in Madrid in full suspicion he could act as a communist agent (!!!).....
I never saw any of the live performances of Evita (I was like 12 when the movie came out), but I was surprised at how well Madonna and Antonio Banderas did - I did not expect her to be able to act and did not expect him to be able to sing. Everyone in this story is so cold and manipulative (not saying their real life counterparts were the same, but in this story they are cold). It is hard to connect to anyone because of that, but I love how nasty they are, and I love the slightly twisted morality. I love Jonathan Pryce as Juan Peron, too. He lends a gentleness to the character that makes you wonder if perhaps he has genuine affection for Eva. Again, maybe the character is written that way, but I've still never seen it live, so I wouldn't know

and certainly he can purr!
EXACTLY SO!!!!!
He has everything!!!!!!!
The great thing about this is that he sounds exactly the same singing live as he did in the film
This is pretty bloody impressive! Antonio Banderas singing live. I wish I could have been there.
I love the film version, never liked the live show, but to see Antonio Banderas sing live is a wow!
It should have been Meryl Streep cast for
evita. I remember my dad telling me 🤔
Loved Antonio Banderas's performance 👌💗
Wow! Antonio is fantasic at singing and acting. What a STAR!
He was by far the best part of the film.

Kudos to the chorus. All giving it their best facial expressions and all!
I love the movie and Antonio Banderas is an angel!!!
One of my favourite actors ❤❤❤
Antonio Banderas...magnificence all in one person!
Now if only he could sing too.
Finally he got best actor from festival de cannes,,, Wish him to get the oscar 2020.
Don Antonio is marvelous singing this song. Perfecto!!!!
Beyond awesome. Beautiful talented Antonio
From great actor to great singer!
I love his accent!
Amazingly talented man !
Love this! Love Antonio. But when I close my eyes listening to his voice, a part of me could see Puss in Boots also in the musical. :)
This was before he did puss n boots though
I have the opposite problem. When I hear puss n boots all I can hear is che
He was one of the best che's ever
Yes he was.
Mandy Patinkin had the best voice.

Esparza's got a vibrato that just doesn't quit for *days.*
I'll take Mandy Patinkin's Che everytime. Antonio lacks the Range to do the role right though he has the persona down.
@@christiancamlin13 Tim Rice says David Essex was the best Che, and he should know.
What would i give to be the one that dance with him here😍. The way he dances and the way he looked at her.😍😍😍😍😘😘😘😘

When I first saw this movie, I thought it was good that Armand found a new place to perform. I was a big fan of interview with a vampire.

Oh, what a circus
Oh, what a show
Argentina has gone to town
Over the death of an actress called Eva Peron
We've all gone crazy
Mourning all day and mourning all night
Falling over ourselves to get all
Of the misery right
Oh, what an exit
That's how to go
When they're bringing your curtain down
Demand to be buried like Eva Peron
It's quite a sunset and good for the country
In a roundabout way

But, who is this santa Evita
Why all this howling, hysterical sorrow
What kind of goddess has lived among us
How will we ever get by without her?
