I always loved the fact that you are more likely to get the Sephiroth Limit Breaks during the actual Sephiroth battle. I just imagine how it all goes on in Zack's head: Memory Sephiroth: Concentrate. Zack: I'm feeling it! Sephiroth: ... That being said, I do like the little detail that if you pay attention to the cutscenes, it's clear that Zack is the first First Class SOLDIER so far that's actually made him *try.* He definitely exerted more actual effort than against Genesis and Angeal, though to be fair, those circumstances were different.
Also to be fair, Sephiroth is built different, Angeal and Genesis are nothing compared to him and he was not even go all out against Zack and still beat the crap out of him.
I still have to check out the original of this one actually, but yeah other than the fact that it seems to me like why wouldn't his own theme play there, yes ;p
Yeah they should have used the original Song for the Machine Bosses and using the Reunion only for the First Phase of Sephiroth to keep it unique and special.
@@lookslikenik6931Yeah man I agree. Against SEPHIROTH this is really cool and mysterious- like and fits. However against machines it doesn't fit and the original seems to go perfect for it
It’s the mournful strings they added around 0:33 that make it so fitting for Sephiroth. A close friend and support for Zack, who’s in the middle of losing friend after friend the whole game and cleaning up their messes, suddenly losing perhaps his closest friend left to complete insanity. Really adds the tragic aspect to the fight while the other instruments make you remember that you’re fighting Sephiroth and will die if you don’t take it as seriously as possible.

I just did the analysis and it's the exact same in Reunion except the Nibelheim version cuts off the static at the beginning (so it's just about exactly half a beat off, which does actually sound kinda cool simultaneously).
I really dont get why people hate this games remaster so much. Its great. Its just taking Crisis Core and updating it with Remakes combat systems. Game feels great. Musics fine (OG is better but this works) and the acting is fine. Story is intact. Still really good. So i dont get the hate really. Its not a huge radical shift.
@@jamgrams3244 yeah they deleted another one of my channels too with over a hundred videos from Rebirth, FF16, and Ever Crisis so hit me up on Rumble xD

@@Manwes_Inspiring_Trax from a plot perspective I think it cheapens FF7 for no good reason, and the remake portrays the events completely differently. Rebirth should be played not crisis core. I bet they’ll completely ignore the angeal and genesis stuff.

@@RavusNox-z5i without a doubt the Genesis stuff will make an appearance in Rebirth, but ONLY for the Zack segments. They did bring back Weiss and the other dude for Intermission, and they both made an appearance in Crisis Core when taking Genesis' body. For sure!
I love this new version, especially when I listen to this passage 00:33

I looked at the original version. So there's apparently multiple versions of this song. Not just one.
Oh interesting, but only one in the reunion version?

i've seen people say Zack's voice acting is worse than the original but I honestly couldn't see the problem
@@rain-jl9zb they didn't complain about it in Remake. Which boggles my mind. They didn't mind it then. So why now ya know?
