(RARE) Song of the Fatherland Front - "Lied der Jugend" (1936-38)

"Lied der Jugend" ("Song of the Youth"), also known by its opening lines as "Ihr Jungen, schließt die Reihen gut" ("You boys, close the ranks well"), was the party anthem of the Fatherland Front, the governing organisation of Austria between 1933-1938. It was composed in 1936 to commemorate the assassination of Chancellor Engelbert Dollfuss by Nazi activists in 1934. The Fatherland Front opposed unification with Germany and promoted an authoritarian Austria based on Catholic social teaching.
Featured in the video are the emblems of the Fatherland Front, the Heimwehr, the Österreichische Jungvolk and the Ostmärkische Sturmscharen, organisations that supported the authoritarian government.
