It was cool to see Buddy get that win and redemption last night. Appreciated his post race interview. Shoutout to Bill Balog and his team too. They had a great weekend and have been on a roll as of late. With what happened to him and the emotion he had in his interview that night at Eldora back in July, it’s good to see he and his team bounce back the way they have since.

Shane Van Gisbergen has been driving a sprintcar owned by the Theobald family. The Theobald family brought the late Bryan Clauson to New Zealand for many years and more recently Christopher Bell and Spencer Bayston have also driven the Theobald family midget on visiting New Zealand. The Theobald family sprintcar has used by US drivers when visiting New Zealand with Shane Stewart and also Christopher Bell having been behind the wheel. Shane Van Gisbergen was going to drive the Theobald family midget a few summers ago until his Australian supercars team owner prevent it from happening. The crew chief for Shane Van Gisbergen when he runs the sprintcar back in New Zealand is former midget racer Shaun insley. Shaun is the brother of Justin Insley the builder of the King midget chassis that Kyle Larson used to win his three Chilli Bowl titles. The Theobald family run a King Chassis with a Toyota engine. I would not be surprised if Shane Van Gisbergen runs the Chilli Bowl it will be in a King Chassis with Shaun and Justin Insley on the spinners with the Theobald family also involved along with Trackhouse Racing.
Bummed about the lucas shows being canceled this weekend. I drove out to portsmouth to find out they canceled. Then made the 3 hour drive over to tyler county just to find out they canceled. Lots of driving for me to not see a single lap.
Gravel might not have led laps since Shitport but with the exception of Knoxville (did it count for points?) he’s been in the top 10 every race. Carson has most definitely been on a roll however Gravels consistency will win out. Gravel wins the championship by 75 at least
When a schedule wanes interests drift. It can be difficult to regain that base. Sharon speedway; I have spent more time this year driving further even when they have 410's. Sharon is a good facility almost criminally underutilized. Tri city raceway park 1.8 hours, Port Royal 4.5 hours, I have bed in port, Lernerville 2 hours, not often, I stand at the gate for national anthem after leaving work and get home next day. You want fans to show up you have to schedule shows and feed the base. Not scheduling for possible rain in season is a guarantees no $ in those seats.
I dont like how they let Super latemodels run in a race that when it started out was to be a limited latemodel race . It needs to be a steel block steel head 365 max cu. In. Engine race

I personally would love to see BMF ,Excel , Capitol and other chassis start to get a fair share of wins on the big stage . It would be good for dirt racing as a whole . Oh i left out BWRC Icons . I really expect Chris Madden and Penski to team up and develop a new chassis in the next 3 to 5 years . Earlier they tried to buy BWRC out but Barry wouldn't sell due to his son and daughter not being gaureteed a job after 3 years . I think that was a mistake on Barry's part
It’s really difficult to play with the 2 giants in the chassis game without deep pockets and a engineer to work tirelessly on developing a winning car then you must have a top driver to verify everything you are doing is valid. Most of all other brands do not have that budget or capacity to make it competitive!

They drove Capitol cars in the beginning and I think Jesse's crate car still might be a Capitol, but I don't see them taking a step back unless they are getting 100% free cars less drivetrain and all their replacement parts free

Bill Balog has been a pleasant surprise this year. Good on them.
Hopefully Balog gets a win !! He's been knocking on the door of late
I still cant believe Williamson called for a "jump" in the heat race. good racing at husets and skagit.

I too, have been really checked out on USAC this year.

To be fair to USAC- their schedule really took a hit having to cancel all of Appy Midget Week.
