Really fantastic beginners guide. There are a lot of advanced builds around that go over gear and CP and the like, but not a lot for brand new players. This kind of guide helps lower the barrier for entry I think. I'd love to see one of these for each class!
I really hope you're not going to do any more rants or videos such as the OG templar funeral and I hope you move forward with this type of content and especially with this outlook. Good stuff!
Any way to increase UI size, text size, etc.? Not complaining but I'm on my phone, not super readable. But I started a Templar yesterday, will be using this video as I level him to 50. Thanks
This video is probably the best brief explanation I have heard for new players on how to create character builds, and not copy builds while also explaining why you should'nt. The simplifying of how to start viewing the game to learn is great for people who have just started. Ive been playing a few years and for players that have been playing but feel they arent "good" this is what it takes and how to approach learning how to create your own builds and become a good solid player. First you have to mentally decide to make an effort (consciously or unconsciously) to learn what you need to know that will work best for the content you want to do in the game and secondly how you want to play that content and what role or roles you want to fill. But to really understand how to do that you have to learn these things; The basic mecanics of eso's combat system (Damage, heal, and sustain) and the other basic mecanics and game systems. The crafting system, the gear sets system, the content spesific mecanics and systems for the content your playing,(pve, pvp, raids, ext.) and learn how the mecanics and systems affect eachother. (The only exception learning the mecanics is the crafting system if you know exactly what you want you can pay someone in game with gold who does craft to make exactly what you want for you, wepons, armor, food, and potions can all be bought from others. Although learing the mecanic of crafting will help you learn the others such as the set system, armor and wepons system along with the skill lines that may affect your build and helping to learn how enchantments, potions and poisons, food, work and affect your build.) (Its often recommended to level alchemy to at least the level needed to get the perk called "medicinal use" to the maximum level. which allows your potion effects to last longer by a significant amount this only costs 3 perk points and is equaliy useful for any build you create. If you are icnoring all crafting skill lines you will have far more than enough skill points to place anywere you would like. While still haveing this perk. And by the way if you do craft you will have more than enough skill points to make a build however you want it for any content you want to play if you max your level to 50 and use the skyshards to get more skill points you can even make two builds and still be a crafter.) After you practice, test, research, and learn those eso mecanics you can start to understand the build you want to make and what class, skills, wepons, armor, you want to use and what potions and foods to use to best benifit your build and role you want to fill for your content. Then after that follow one of the tons of guides out there to get the gear and consumables you want to make/ buy / find for your build. Finnaly, just play remember the basics of how mecanics work for the game and play and practice. Dont get to caught up in being "good" its a really fun sandbox mmorpg game. Its ment to be a fun time And you owe it to the game you put hundereds of hours into and to yourself to have fun playing and learning how it works and what content you like to play. So the last part of the guide is to go have a damn adventure live your characters storys, face the trials and become a champion, take down the massave bosses and threats of the world with other adventurers, win a war for your facton and brothers and sisters in arms. Hell go try to kill eachother after that. Have. Some. Fun. Sincerely yours, A Woodelf stamblade.
@@Deltiasgaming I remember when I was a new player your guides were incredible for levelling. I’m sure a lot of newer players nowadays could do with the same help!
I will never play ESO again, but I shall watch every video Deltia comes out with. Love this idea man! Lots of older & newer people will appreciate this.
Just got to say it’s a breath of fresh air to see you back from your hiatus Deltia - when I first started playing ESO way back during beta days I had absolutely no idea how to build a character, this was my first MMO - you were the first streamer I found that talked builds, skills etc and you made it easy to understand and fun. I wouldn’t be playing the game the way I do now if it wasn’t for your guidance. Thank you for being a great resource! Super excited to see all of the new content to come!
Good to see you back sir! Hope you're here to stay! I just wanted to put this out there. I have been playing this game a good 5-6 years. A little over a year ago, I beat Vma for the first time of what is now many. But during that first run I had, despite many new current walk through, I found your videos to be most helpful to myself. You really helped me trough that first run. I just wanted to put that out there to show you, despite you being away for some time, you were still helping people in this game. So thank you and welcome back!
Lots of great points and tips! Knowing what your moves do outside of just causing your foes harm is a really important thing that can make or break a good build. Thank you!
Thank you very much for this video and your insightful analysis. I am 56 and my response times are not what they once were. This class as you have laid it out is Much easier to play than some of the more movement centric classes. Thanks again!
Glad you’re back. You’re killing it. Seriously, I love the format and your vibe. Super informative with no filler. Looking forward to where this takes you.
Thank You, I have just been playing the game solo - and now that i am starting to do more with a guild - I am told that my character setup is off. Here is the thing I start reading on armor or watching hour long videos of what things should be - it makes my eyes bleed and takes my enjoyment of the game away. There seems to be a lack of enjoying the game for the new and non-stat focused and you managed to do this. I already set my keys up similar to how you do... so I think if I dig around a bit more you probably have a video that can get me the basics of how to build a group player without having to take notes and hating every minute like the others I have been referred to. Thanks for looking out for the less experienced or intense players.
I'm so glad that you are back Deltia. You have been missed. I'm from the UK and was so sad that you decided not to make eso content anymore. Welcome back.
i was struggling soloing a world boss, and this build really helped, instead of fancy weapon swapes/crazy rotations i just focused on the basics, great vid man
You know with wanting to use a stamina weapon with a magick build I would love to see them make it where heavy attacks restore whatever resource is the highest.
really like the style and info -- been playing since the original field test. it's nice to see a clip where I can say, "yep. right. right. yep". so glad to see you back.
Funny, my 5 favorite skills for magicka templar. I do go back and forth as to wether I like solar prison or crescent sweep more. Great video keep em coming please.
I just got back into ESO again after few years of break. I never was good at DPS but other roles are even worse to play for me. I tried to find some content with basics and tips for ppl who suck :D THEN I see Deltia is BACK . I'm glad that You golden nugget got back to ESO :D Cheers man :)
Love these videos, I’ve been trying to get back into it after many years so this helps, I’m gonna start a templat, never played one before and start fresh
You want to use easier class but boring is the sorcerer (no skill required) Templar is a fun class which does require some coronation. My class I use is nightblade but second favorite is Templar. Thank you Deltia for coming back and inspiring me to use my Templar again
Really enjoyed the video! Im a newish player and have a similar one bar build as this. Trying to get used to managing dots and defensives on one bar then once I'm a little more comfortable advance to dual bars.
This is nice and all, but everyone knows the real reason to play Templar is so you can equip a pointy staff and pretend that there are spear weapons in the game.
God: if you all make it through a plague, giant wild fires, and the most named tropical storms in the history of the world all in 2020.... ill give deltia back to the 2021. Eso players: let's fuckin goooooo! *1 year later* Deltia: I'm back and I brought the Templar builds with me! Eso players: collective cries of joy
Thank you for making such a casual, advice, but not optimized class video. :) I get tired of absolutely optimized cookie cutter builds. No one is an original.
Please please please do this for dragon Knight I have a leveld DK and desperately want to get back into the game now the messiah has returned!!! But have no idea where to start! Also please teach me how to "weave" lol. So glad you're back dude
Everyone is having nostalgia I just heavily got into elder scrolls online I’m literally making a magplar for my first play through this is very helpful haha
I don't know a great deal about how to play well, but whenever I set a new character up I put the spell type in the same place...1) AOE 2) spam spell 3) extra dam spell or a prong attack spell 4) heal and 5) generally I'm levelling a lot so its a spell the will level my secondary weap
Yeah, finishing it all up. It's basically the same type of thing, swap ability here, swap gear here. It just took me a couple of weeks playing. But PvE/VMA/Healing/PvP all of that stuff will be coming in soon.
What gear should I run with this? I wanted to use this as general pve/solo content toon.Just getting back to my pc eso and need major HELP. Deltia your return brought me back!

This is OG Deltia material here. What are your thoughts all?
It sure is man it sure is

That's thumbnail tho!!!! Welcome back Deltia, you were the first eso TH-cam I watched and followed your advice religiously
So excited, this is what gets me up in the morning. This what I love, thanks for watching!
Bring on the entire build ... So great to see you back Deltia, your thought process is on point!
Signs the world is getting back to normal:
1) Vaccines;
2) Social meeting again;
3) Deltia making ESO Templar builds.
This was fantastic to read. Appreciate it!
lul those vaccines are wmd´s. You know why rat poison does not kill instantly? Because it would scare of the other rats.
Templars dont need vaccines lol
Vaccines aren't normal
This comment didnt age well lol

I have been playing ESO since beta, but I still want to run this build for the nostalgia of running a Deltia build again.
Thank you for a basic primer on the logic underpinning how to build. It’s very helpful.

Great video man, helped a lot! Would love to see some gameplay so I can get a better idea of when to use each move during combat
Noted!
Holy Templar that was enlightening!!! I would love to see a vid on hybrids - like a Tanky healer or is that too crazy (or just wrong)
Thanks for another great video

For a sustain ability, what do you think of Consuming Trap(morph of Soul Trap in the World skill Line)?
I see a lot of people running that but truthfully haven't read the skill/passives. Good idea!
Just found the channel, you got a new sub!
Nova is not conal, just a heads up! Really great to see you back, the world feels a little bit more normal 🤗
UNCLE DELTIA!
Let’s go!
Deltia, have you made any adjustments from your Magplar Build video?
Yeah, finishing it all up. It's basically the same type of thing, swap ability here, swap gear here. It just took me a couple of weeks playing. But PvE/VMA/Healing/PvP all of that stuff will be coming in soon.

New here to the channel i just have to follow because the Heal 5 Key xD
Puncuring sweep says on it that it heals for 45% of damage done, is that what you mean because the way you said it sounded like it heals for the full amount of damage.
Deltia what race is best for templar?
Is there anything more classic than a Deltia templar build guide?
Truly OG!
Hi, I really like the one bar builds which fir my game style because of the bar swapping does cause me problems .
5 is my heal key too. F5 in Skyrim. 5 is my friend.
is that a nord templar?
Amazing guide, thanks buddie.
Glad you enjoyed it!
you have light or medium armor? and staff? :D
Started playing yesterday, so only lvl 14. But wich weapon choice is best for a templar? Been using 2-h sword most of the Lvls
My bar goes: spam, execute, flex, heal, bar buffer on most characters
for my Magicka Templar specifically I like my bar to be: Puncturing Sweep, Radiant Destruction, Necrotic Orb, Honor the Dead, and Mage Light
This says nothing about attribute points? Wher are they all being put to?
Or how to start out a build and which perks to unlock as they become available or what gear. To use. Do you have a in depth guid for mag temp? I’m just starting out
For pvE I go all into magicka. I have a bunch of builds and massive guides for everyclass here: deltiasgaming.com/updated-eso-builds/
The best 👍👍👍
WE MISSED YOU BROOOOOO
How do you get your character to look like a deadra in the face?
It's a polymorph from Imperial City
