For Solo, you really have to try a Lancer. Destruction Staffs for spears, just split the Single target off to the Inferno Staff, and either a Lightning Staff (Damage) or Ice Staff (Tankier) for AoE/Hold your ground. Nobody holds their ground like a Tanklar. However, you've got most of the greatest hits from the Spamina weapons in Aedric Spear. Bloodthirst times Cleave is Puncturing Sweeps. So, that's pretty much Melee handled. Aurora Javelin sets them up for Explosive Charge, so you can leapfrog across the map (I'm going to say Alikir Desert between Morwah's Bounty, and Raincatcher Fields because that's where I'm kicking beetles down the street like tin cans) or some Dungeons. Blazing Spear instead of Endless Hail... (Barswap) Vampire's Bane, Flame Clench, Elemental Drain, Crushing Shock, Radiant OPression... For that big bad, miniboss, or whatever, you really want dead ASAP. (Before he drops more Adds to kill AoE) Doesn't really fit in a party. Doesn't even work in Battlegrounds, or PvP (Except duels. That leapfrog with Javelin, and Charge is a lot of fun there) but basically a lot of combos you just can't have without going Hybrid with Stamina weapons that have skills like Uppercut, Flurry, Endless Hail... So, it's a Solo build, but you're a Magicka templar, so pick the Restoring Light you're going to need as your own Healer. (You can't tank, but bring a frost Staff so you can temp tank while you're surrounded. Honestly, everything dies too quick Solo to really need a rotation.)
To me, Solo is a chance to use all the fun skills you never slot, because they're not "Viable." They're not BiS, so you never see Aurora Javelin. You don't have to be a tankety tank TANK to join a party. You don't have to be a Healer OR DPS, you don't even have to have a rotation. I've been running that Javelin/Charge combo since the start. The first open Beta, because it's fun. Even if it's not OPtimal.
Wouldn’t a lightning staff on the front bar boost all of your damage from both bars except light/heavy attacks, purifying light, and reflective light? I feel like that 8% buff to all that would be pretty great and better than the inferno staff
If you rely on heavy attacks/sweeps more yeah it's great. Purifying Light however shouldn't benefit but I'm not sure. Either way, use whatever staff you like.
Pale Order heals for 20% of the damage you do and decreases by 4% for each player in the group so in a dungeon you have 4 players, 4*4=16 leaving you with 4% healing. Previously we got an 18% heal everywhere so it is heavily nerfed in dungeon content. I'd say if you are playing well and are using damage shields/vigor you can still use it to good effect but I'd only slot it if you were grouped with a low performing pug healer or doing a 3dd/1t run.
The last time I played was back in 2017 and dual wield was all the rage for spell casting. Is it the maelstrom arena staff specifically that has pushed dw away?
No since it's worn on the back bar. But dw is back at it on the front since daggers now give mag crit as well. If you wanna try you could run 2 precise daggers of Medusa and keep the rest of the shown build
@@davidvejsada8801 2h axe is less dps than daggers usually, but even that depends on a class - if you have ~70% crit chance without daggers, 2h axe would probably be not-that-bad. I was wrong about maces - they do not give spell penetration, thus they are utterly useless for magicka builds, swords would be better. 2h Axes apparently give 8% and not 12%, so they arent that great either.
There is a setting in the video/ display settings called "View Distance". Scale this back and your FPS should really improve. You won't see high texture detail in the distance but for dungeons/trials you'll be narrow focused on a boss/encounter anyway;no time to look at that faraway tree

I recently completed vet ma for the first time ever. It was on my magsorc and I got the perfected inferno staff. My joy was higher than the cp cap.

You are disregarding the power of jesus beam and the consistent high damage of fire staff light attacks. Both are single target damage.

just checked it's per ally, so it would be 3x4% in a dungeon that you would lose out on

So attributes go mostly for magicka and some for health but never stamina?
It frankly depends, on PvE builds you mainly put it all into your primary damage stats.

No to be honest, it's the lowest dps racial choice. You don't need to spend $30 to change it but def not optimal.

What can I do to reduce stutter and frame drops? Makes light atfack weaving really hard my game just lags so much not sure what to do
