So glad that you enjoyed your first Jen Turano book! 💗💗💗
Yes 😁❤️
I appreciate this video and I subscribed today. I'm really glad that you and this channel exist. Thank you for sharing with your viewers.
Thank you very much 😃 I really appreciate your encouragement
A winter by the sea has such a pretty cover, I love the purple 😍
The only one of those I've read is On the Edge of the Dark Sea of Darkness.
Are you going to continue with the series (or have you already read them all)?
@@ChristianFaithAndFiction I've only read book 1, but I planning to continue it this year!!!
I appreciate all your fantasy young adult recommendations! My teenage son has loved many of the series you've talked about 📚
That’s really good to know 😃 It must be hard to find Christian books for teenage boys
thank you so much for your book reviews you helped me find a new category of books that I didn’t know existed. ❤
That’s great 😀 thank you
A Match in the Making was my first Jen Turano book too and i also really enjoyed it!!
Yay 😃
I read the whole Wingfeather saga a few years ago and really enjoyed it. I just started last month reading them again as a read aloud with my older sons. It has been so fun to reread with them 😁
Which book was your favourite?
That’s a tough one… I think I liked the third book, The Monster in the Hollows, the best but that could change upon this reread.
I have On the Edge of the Dark Sea of Darkness on my TBR for Middle Grade March so I really appreciated your thoughts on the book. Moving it up on my TBR. I did read One Wrong Move by Dani Pettrey and loved it. I'm like you in that I get creeped out fairly easily and there are some authors I just can't read any more. Like Nancy Mehl. Her villain POVs and crime details are just too much for me. But I didn't find this one as daunting. It's a different kind of mystery, I guess. And I loved the camaraderie between all the characters and there's two mysteries. Really good pacing between investigation and action and romance which I love in a romantic suspense.
I’m glad you liked it 😃 I haven’t even attempted Nancy Mehl even though her books are really popular. I’m really squeamish about gory details 🤢
That was my first Jen Turano book too!😃
Oh yay! Have you read the next one yet?
@@ChristianFaithAndFiction yes I have! I really enjoyed it.
Hi Lou, lovely choice of books. Just hoping my library has at least some of these. I have put myself on a book buying ban. I felt myself getting stressed over the amount of books I have that are unread. Your posts are so upbeat and inspiring. I am feeling unwell with a nasty cough that does not want to go away. Just listening to you relaxes me. May Father God bless you for all the happiness you bring me. With Love, Sylvia, Ottawa Canada. 🙏🌹
I’m sorry to hear that. I pray the cough goes away quickly 🙏🏼 I have to be careful with buying books too 😁
Hi Lou. I’m sensitive to stuff like that as well. I thought it would be good because of it being an art heist, but I might have to pass on it. Oh, I’m glad you liked Jen Turano. Just wait until you read the next in that series. Such fun! For my recent favorite, it’d definitely be The Little White Horse. I think you could say it’s Christian because it has a pastor as one of the characters and faith is mentioned several times. It’s set in like 1892 England and it’s a whimsical children’s fantasy. It’s one I’ll be rereading for sure. 🦄🙂
I’m really looking forward to that second Jen Turano books because I love cats 🐈 😁
I'm listening to a match in the making right now:)
I hope you enjoy it 😃
Lovely video! Thank you 😊
Thank you 😃
I’ll have to try Rachel Hauck. I love the Dickerson book I read!
Which one did you read?
@@ChristianFaithAndFiction Something with a lot of rats and disappearing children.
@@BookTalksWithMrsThomas 😂 I think that must have been the pied piper retelling! I can’t remember the name off the top of my head 😃
💝
🥰
I like the variety your read, and the fantasy in particular sound interesting. The most recent Christian book I read was The Coyote and a One-Armed Man by B.D. Lawrence. It's a Christian thriller about drug cartels and sex trafficking, very timely for our era. The subject matter is disturbing, but Lawrence handles it with tact and still keeps it a clean read. It was fun!
Sounds interesting, if a little heavy 😃
