    I was asking about the tone, because I am about to release a DIY Ampeg B25 Tube Preamp PCB and will eventually build this preamp for sale like I have done with my Alembic styled preamp.     Were you using any effects, or was the bass direct into the amp. What type of bass? Just noting the gritty tone. Thanks

      In the description he wrote no pedals and p bass

      That's right. No pedal, just the p bass and the amp.

      is the distortion given by the gain all the way up?

      That sucks. These are very special amps and are kinda like mini SVT's despite running 7072's. Hopefully, you'll get another.
