2 tips- 1. the ones that jump in won’t use shutdown but the ones that come out the spire will and will destroy your guardian weapons. 2. Directly behind them is very caustic but in front is safe. If you’re carful you can kill about 5 per visit
Throughout Elite lore there have been these 'Gold Rushes', periods of profoundly enhanced income from a prescribed task. We all now fear the inevitable 'Coming of the Great NerfHammer' o7
Hey foxy, im not sure if anyone else has pointed out. But you can keybind heatsinks and caustic sinks to a single key so you can massively extend the usability of those two items. I would also highly recommend you use a repair limpet controller to help you recoup some of the hull you lose wotu everu goid fight, massively extends fight time especially since theres downtime during fishing. Hope it helps!
Generally when a new money making mechanic comes out it can pay way more than others. I wouldn't be surprised if the payouts get nerfed in a month or so as the story progresses. Its crazy to think that when this series started you were a complete newbie and now you are interacting with content even I haven't touched (although granted I haven't played in months)
@@Kissamiess Orthrus have an anti-guardian pulse which will degrade guardian equipment after firing. Hence why you should only attack the ones that come from the hyperspace portals.
My carrier “Maelstrom Charybdis” is stationed in orbit providing shipyard, outfitting, restock, refuel and repair for those who want to hunt and have a close safe area. I will warn that thargoids have been dropping into the carrier space firing their shutdown field and leaving. If attacked they release a suicidal swarm which is devastating. So proceed with caution. I believe carriers will be moved out of thargoid controlled systems on the server tick by fdev. If I remember correctly my carrier has no tariffs applied. Enjoy and happy hunting.
Looks like normal. Interceptors near the ground use only yellow lighting, that was so always. And I guess you just killed something bigger then cyclope. You can do the same in all other ground places where they appear (many of such). Before invasion I was relogging on Jameson's crash site to trigger spawn and did the same.
o7 commander! One question: I thought there was a limit for the number of AX hardpoints you can equip on your ship? Isn't it limited to 4x AX hardpoints? How'd you equip 6x of them?
Hi Cmdr, a nice opportunity. But I think 1 billion per hour is too optimistic. 1 billion is still 1000 million and 1000 million divided by 40 million is 25 Thargoid kills. A kill almost every 2 minutes without repairs and refills.😂
Eventually the goids are going to pick up that the Orthus are in danger, and they'll start calling Hydras for support (like the Orthus already call for support in space). It's nice that they leave situations as this because it calls people towards the content. Then later, they can rebalance it, and it still feels like believable story progression.
Caustic sink will save you, but if you don't have try get decon limpet And AX multi will work if with a group of people as they will take longer to kill the Orth
Orthruses leave a caustic wake behind them, so avoid it if you can't tank it. Otherwise, anywhere from 120-250% heat will cook it off. I think the exact percent is random each time, could be wrong tho.
Je suis obligé de faire ça avec les multicanon AX car avec les armes guardians, les Orthrus me les cassent en 2min, vous faites comment pour garder vos armes guardians en bon état?
Maybe it is just my bad luck, but in the video you are showing 100% hull and you go down to the planet quietly and with no resistance. In my case I am attacked in hyperspace and lose 25% of my hull just getting to the system. Once I reach the system, I am attacked again immediately. Not the easy money that it is advertised as (in my opinion).
as soon as u r pulled out of hyperspace do the following: pop heatsink, boost once and hit esc, quit to main menu. if u r fast enough u can get away without waiting the 14 second penalty time, had around 70 percent success rate doing this so maybe it helps.
If you cant boost up to 500+ and maintain a speed of around 480+ between boosts go engineer your shit more. If you cant out run them good luck fighting them. Ideally you want to go even faster than this. Even my type 7 can scrape these speeds! Also never fight interdiction. Submit and as soon as your interdicted throttle up and mash the boost button and hit the FSD as soon as its off cooldown. You literally cant win the interdiction and you take damage when you loose.
@francez123456789 they are talking about being interdicted while traveling between systems, which you can't throttle down for that. Also, if you are interdicted by a glaive then your basically screwed if you only have guardian weapons because they are too fast to run away from and they constantly shut down your fsd. I have a similar build to the OP in the video and when I see a glaive I shoot it as fast as I can with my shards to try to kill it before they are damaged. Then i have an axmc as a backup. If there are 2 glaives then your basically fucked 😂
@@kdog145 I've run away from several glaives. just ride their lightning FA off turn the other way and fire up your fsd while FA on, go silent, pop syncs and start boosting with max pips in engines and some in systems if you don't have a heat sig they cant hit you with the FSD shut off and if your still not fast enough your not ready for thargoids.
Sorry for off top. But why "1 billion an hour" instead of ,"1 billion in an hour"? You get 1 billion within an hour. If say 1 billion an hour you need to connect them ? No?
Yes, 2 size 1 heat vent beam laser. And 6 Guardian Shard Cannons. And all core internal is half way engineered mostly grade A, optional internal, I mostly use Hull Reinforcenent with 2 AFM to repair the shards once they got damaged.
If playing online games over the last 20 years has taught people anything, when they start paying out huge amounts of money than normal, it's on purpose and mostly means a shutdown of servers. PSO on Dreamcast and GameCube and PSU on Xbox did this
Come on bro, dont use click bait titles. Theres no way you can make 1 bil credits in an hr solo. You will have to repair every 5 to 10 mins and you will probably die after about 5 kills, maybe 10 if your really good. I managed to make 440 mil on one run before i blew up and that still took about 30 to 45 mins but I think i just got super lucky because i haven't done it since 😅
@@A-wy5zm Well my skill has definitely improved since I made this comment. I am now able to consistently get at least 8 kills everytime but hopefully it will improve further. Wouldn't relogging just put me just outside the planet with the same amount of damage I incurred before I logged out? I suppose I could relog after I blow up an orthrus to avoid damage from the scouts and banshees but I dont think that will help much. My problem is that I sometimes get hit by the torpedos while Im chasing an orthrus and if im going to fast or get hit enought times, my ship hits the deck and I take 10-20% hull damage. Do you have any suggestions? I am using a fully engineered shieldless anaconda with shard cannons atm. I also have a fully engineered chieftain with gauss cannons but I havent tried using that yet. Do the banshee torpedos shutdown shields and force them to be recharged when they hit?

yeh, same ahahaha it's weird to me as a veteran that many newbies know more about Elite than i do!
Orthus that enter the site from their portals will not fire a shutdown pulse. So only go for the ones that don’t come out of the spires.
Hmm, that's good to know because it also seems like they turn on their annoying anti-Guardian field only after firing the pulse.

You need to put on a stabilizer in order to equip 2 more AX, which you can get at Jameson's
It's called "Experimental Weapon Stabiliser" - Gives you 2 more AX Weapons slots. It's a 5F.

Very interesting ship design as well. Is it the anancoda? I may have a go at this!
I would totally join you for a Halloween party at a barnacle matrix site
Most hull damage was from ramming. If you just kite enough instead of ramming, you shouldn't loose a lot of hull.
