After watching this video I downloaded the trial and I'm seriously considering it. I noticed the hi-hat with foot pedal and gave it a shot in my DAW and found it works with the mod wheel (I'm guessing it's a matter of midi mapping). I wanted to test the same with e-snare but couldn't figure it out. I'm guessing it's some CC but I don't know which, can you help me out?
@@HertzDrums thank you for your reply. I'm figuring out what I can do with the snare using CCs. I really enjoyed what I could do with hi-hats and the mod wheel. It feels very organic and takes less space in the piano roll. I'm assuming there's a CC to control the E-Snare articulations, maybe I understood it wrong. Since we're here... I sent an email with questions to the shop email address. Is that ok or should I use the hello address from the email that followed up my download?
The manual work is actually works fine when you have time and you really want to give the exact feeling song requires. But considering all these features you guys introduced, actually this is probably the fastest library to create anything one can imagine! And the features are so easy to use!! The samples sound great as well, really cool!!
Do I only need to purchase a Hertz Drums 2 or a whole pack, like The White Pack? What are the differences? Like, the Hertz Drums 2 have less kit elements or what?
Hertz Drums 2 is a virtual drummer plus a sampler and groove player. HD2 includes the Basic library: 2 snares, 2 bass drums, 3 toms, and 6 cymbals. The White Pack, as well as Red, Blue, Metal Unlimited, Grand Rock, Fame&Fury, are expansions for HD2. So, the White Pack on its own won’t work without HD2.
Spectacular! One question: The link for the demo in the description leads to the demo for version 1.3 - where can I get a demo for version 2? I want to try out the humanize functions. Thanks in advance and take care
It still sounds too quantised, a real drukkit will be recorded in a great room where there is natural reverberation that suits the style of the drummer and genré and/or sounds great in general. But the thing that make a drummer sound good is the inconsistency of notes played, some before and some after the beat, these are micro timing inconsistencies but they work very well in songs, metal drummers are always too 16th oiented, leaving no space at all for groove, it seem your plugin is captitalizing on that, and that's ok... Then offer the people who buy your plugin something that sounds like a professional recording, where the engineer specifically chose certain microphones and the room or hall where the kit was recorded, this way they feel the drum, hearing and feeling are two different things.
Agreed. There are many components of a live drum performance that make it feel real, and I think it's good to have at least some of them taken care of by the drum plugin. And let's not forget that it's all a matter of taste most of the time - some people like it quantized to the grid, while some people like it loose. Both these things are doable with midi-drums. Of course, live drums are still live drums, but it's pretty impressive what drum libraries can do these days. Thanks for your comment!
Okay, let's get this out piece by piece: 1.Every hit is different: Yes, it is also different in drum sample libraries because they have multiple samples that it randomizes. You can turn this off in most samplers, but on most it's on by default. This is no longer a problem. You are bringing absolutely nothing new to the table with this, drum samplers have had this for 15 years. 2. Different types of strokes: Yep, same thing, samplers have had it for years. 3. Hi-hat articulations: Same. Superior Drummer has 6 different articulations for the Hi-Hat, depending on how open it is. 4. Midi grooves: Seriously? EVERY sampler has this. I get that you have to market your plugin but come on man, you can't say that your plugin has something magical that does not make it sound fake when these are all features that have been in there since the beginning. It sounds fine, it seems to work great, I really like how it sounds, but it's just lame how you're presenting it
01:16 That actually sounds like a real drummer jamming on the kit and coming up with cool patterns on the spot. Well done!

Hey. What exactly are you trying to achieve with CC on the snare?

@@HertzDrumsthank you. I made the purchase and I'm putting it on my template. So far so good, I'll follow up if needed.

Yeah, it's all about time these days. If something can help you save time and the result is still good - go for it.
Really great video! Well done Vitaly! Really love new Hertz Drums update! One of the best virtual metal drums libraries out there! 🙂👍
Thank you for your support!
Great job on this guys! Some awesome feature here!
Thanks! Hope it helps you make great music!

Hey. Fixed! Now you can take new version from that link :) thanks for pointing it out

I got Hertz drum demo and then the red pack. I like it very much. The interface is great. I hope there will be more midi groove packs.
Thanks! Believe it or not, we're currently working on new groove packs 😀
Great update guys, love your work 💪🏻
Thanks!
Hello Vitaly, after upgrading to version 2.0 (and Red, Blue and White pack) can I delete the older versions of the packs?
Hi! Yes, after you've downloaded and successfully installed the new versions of the packs, you can delete the older ones.
Pretty cool that the humanization works with other samples.
Im just going the other way with everything snapped to the grid at full volume with a little bit of reverb
It's a matter of taste, like everything.

Well, glad you liked the plugin though 😀
WTH is "tunning"?
With the Tuning slider you can change the pitch of the instrument to better fit your musical context.
@@HertzDrums I believe the OP was trying to point out a spelling error.
Yeah virtual drums sound pretty glonky sometimes, but for a demo or whatever it's fhhhhhiiiiiiiinnnneeee
or maybe the glonky sound is what you're going for 😀
food pedal parameter lol
What's wrong with that?

SD3 fake Gojira FAke?.Etc my satn ......Man your ear is defeted..
They're all great libraries!
It's more about programming and humanizing the MIDI-part itself
