Her father only married into the family for its status and constantly abuses others; just like the Evil Queen. Ruby has visited her mother ('s grave) and deliver plenty of "goodies" to wolf Grimm via Cresent rose. Some could say shes a "basket" case. Plus she's even hoodwinked Ironwood and is never seen without her hood?

I really don't understand the complaints about how long this took. It was never a frustrating "will they, won't they" situation that was dragging on. We knew it was always "they will" but it wasn't ever really the time or place for them to focus on their relationship. They're literally in an isolated realm now, controlled by emotions. It wouldn't surprise me to find out that they saved this moment for when they finally got to the Ever After volume specifically so they could do a special thing like this.
honestly with Rennora and the Bees is some of the best relationship writing, Rennora both agreeing they need time but still love eachother and this scene was just so pretty and well done
As overly arduous it took, I must say. This was actually a really beautifully animated scene, the music elevating the emotion and most of all: the kiss and words
They SURE are allready falling. But in this Scene they Pretty Realize to 1-Another, they are Falling TOGETHER and NEVER EVER Gonna Let 1-another Go. EVER.
It also mirrors themselves from the beginning. Look how smiley and open Blake is. Look how fearful and tentative Yang is. Both are acting like their Beacon selves

I have to agree. Yes the animation at times (especially in the fight scenes from previous seasons) took a nosedive where it had no fluidity. They've definately been improving and so far Volume 9's been a big step in the right direction. This whole scene was beautiful.
There was real creative love behind this scene. The creative way of using fairytales and visual themes to make them confront the truth (which this whole season has been about), to how Yang becomes flustered when Blake tears down her wall of bravado, then the way the skies reflect their colors and the song lyrics, (gold for yang, violet for blake) (You are the sun, you are the night) and the colors blend when they kiss. This scene was a labor of creativity and love, hands down.
Notice how when the admit their love for each other, their demeanors are opposite of how they were back in Volume one? Blake is happy and open; Yang is the apprehensive and worried one?
Let me tell you guys, I have been waiting for this scene for YEARS. Part of me was hoping it wouldn't actually happen this episode because I felt like it would have been mainly about Jaune and a big explanation on everything that is going on, leaving really no time for a proper build up, but... I must take all of it back, and honestly? They couldn't have done this any better. God bless CRWBY, always surprising in the best possible way. I am so happy to finally being able to witness this scene. This was GORGEOUS. The animation, the writing, the lightning, the whole choice, the voice acting. Worth the whole LONG wait. ♥

Bet you anything the Ever After has been watching Yang and Blake since volume one and has been praying they end up there so it can finally get them together. And it worked.
The culmination of 10 years of calling Bake & Yang's relationship from the get go all wrapped up in 3 minutes....and absolutely BEAUTIFUL and master-crafted 3 minutes! Watched it I don't know how many times now and STILL get a little teary eyes each and every time.
That sparkle in Blake's eyes when she said "Just say it. Yang." She knew what Yang was thinking. And when she said "I love you too." just as Yang finished talking.
This wasn't bad but kinda cringy. Calling it one of the most romantic is kinda giving it more credit than it deseves in my opinion. I watched Love is war Seven deadly sins and other great love animes so this did not impress me that much

Don’t get me wrong, I can understand why people ship them, but unlike Blake and Yang (who have already dealt with their past, that being yangs mother and Blake’s white fang history) Ruby and Weiss have a lot to work through themselves first. I mean, Weiss did just lose her entire home kingdom, and Ruby is in no mental condition to focus on a relationship. If anything, I think a pairing between one of them and Jaune is more likely. They already showed that Weiss is attracted to him, and he and Ruby are both going through the same kind of trauma together.

hearing Barbra and Arryn fangirl almost over this moment finally happening on Barb's podcast did put a big smile on my face. Barb mentioned apparently this was in the works since like volume 7 or something since it was a plan they had with the two of them for a while and Barb's apparent initial reaction was "oh come on!" XD I just find it funny that even the VAs were shipping these two like no tomorrow :p Also Jaune's remark at the end of that scene had me burst out in laughter :p

At a panel the vas would make the characters go down on each other with plushies(correct me if I’m wrong). They baited the couple for a while. Now they made them actually blush with each other they only had chemistry beginning from volume 7-9 I believe. So to me it feels rushed. But I won’t complain

It's ruining the story because Blake and Yang don't ACTUALLY care about anyone but each other anymore. They're not two characters anymore, just two halves of one ship. Claiming that people who don't like Bumblebee are just "butthurt" and "frustrated" is the same as saying that Bumblebee is perfect because you think that people who don't like it can't have GENUINE criticisms of it. Like the ship if you want, but you can't just pretend that the people who don't like it don't have any legs to stand on.
I like the idea that after just one day the everafter was so done their tiptoeing that it just went, “Ok, no, I’m putting you two in a separate pocket reality until you two idiots are dating, cause anymore of this and I’m just gonna tree everybody! I’m so done!”

You know what I think? I think this was both a metaphorical and literal way for Yang and Blake to bridge the gap between the two of them and their hearts, and thus, finally bring them together as a couple. Oh, how beautiful.

At this point Kali making Sun uncomfortable with her cougarish manners, or Jaune giving survivor's guilt angst monologues to Pyrrha's tutorial video would be more fulfilling to watch than another boring Eclipse scene that really does nothing for either character.
After all those traumatic experiences in their life and deadly situations... They deserve this romance. To those saying Blake should have been with Sun. I understand it because it was obviously shown. Their moments were portrayed on screen clearly that I myself thought they would be together. Sun really shows that he likes Blake romantically but Im not sure if Blake has the same level of liking him. Since its obviously shown that Sun and Blake were hanging out together this got me questioning the episode of the Dance on Volume 2. Before the dance Blake and Yang talked and then what got me is that before Yang exits she looked back and suggested a dance with Blake with a smirk on her face. And then during the meet up of Blake and Sun, Blake said her first dance is reserved to someone else which was Yang. This is the episode that made me think that Sun won't be the canon love interest for Blake, its actually Yang who will end up with Blake. Sun is what you call "The False Love Interest" where a character acts like the canon love interest and they would show obvious romance scenes between them but actually he/she wont end up with the MC. Thats why they made the dance scene between Yang and Blake so short and that's why their scenes only has very small hints and not as obvious as Sun and Blake so that it won't be also obvious to the audience because the writers probably want it to be a surprise. What 100% confirmed my hunch is the last scene between Blake And Sun, After they won and got the first relic. Blake and Sun were about to be separated and I assumed this would be their last scene for a long time that's why there is for sure a kiss scene that will happen between them just like Jaune and Pyrrha's kiss scene if they are romantically canon. Well, there was indeed a kiss but Blake kissed Sun on the cheek. I mean its Blake of course she would kiss him on the cheek and not on the lips but then again this might be their last meeting before Blake and her gang will face a possible impending death because of their enemies. So why did the writers not drop the ball in that perfect moment if Sun and Blake were romantically canon? because they are not the canon couples. After that, the scenes of Blake and Yang became more and more obvious and I can actually say Blake likes Yang romantically and vice versa even before their kiss. Try comparing the romance scenes of Sun and Blake between Blake and Yang you would know the difference. This is a clever way to set up romance between characters if you want it to be surprising/unexpected.

Admittedly, I don't ship fictional characters all that often. However, I always appreciate a good onscreen romance as much as the next fan. There's something about these two, though--I don't know what--but there's something about Yang and Blake that's so tender and heartwarming that I can't help but find myself obsessed with them as a couple. So happy that Bumbleby is now canon!
I have been replaying and watching this video non-stop since I first saw it two days ago...and yet I can't blame myself. This was so well done. The emotion, the music, the colours, the tone, the lighting, the imagery...just, all of it is amazing! I genuinely thought this wasn't real when I saw it in a TH-cam short, but I'm so glad I was wrong. Plus, the clever metaphors and stuff that are tying into the visuals of this scene...they knew exactly what they were doing. I always had a 50/50 feeling about this couple because of what people said about them. I can see why some people don't like this couple and I understand too...but these two always had a soft spot in my heart. This scene just shows why I love them and honestly, I don't care if I love or hate them now....because this scene elevates them back into that special soft spot in my heart. This scene will always hold a special place and piece of my heart, no matter how many times I see it. Thank you RWBY and thank you CRWBY too. Also, who else thinks that Barbara and Arryn were freaking out in pure joy over this scene or were crying? Because I think they definitely did. 😁

I...never liked this ship. I never enjoyed how forced it felt. I never enjoyed how it came out of nowhere when there was absolutely no previous build up to this up until, like, volume 6...I think? Yang's affection was inconsistent, because one minute she didn't WANT to be with Blake and was apprehensive, and then the other she was all lovey dovey. The mere fact Blake takes priority over YANG'S OWN SISTER shows that this wasn't a good relationship to *begin* with and how it HEAVILY bogged down Yang's character as a whole. But I have to admit, and I hate to say it, but this scene is really well done nonetheless. I do not ship Bumblebee, and this doesn't really make me ship it, but it does make me see it in a slightly cuter light. I firmly believe that RT should have at least kept it going with Sun, and maybe made it a bit more vague with who Blake would have ended up choosing and GIVING that sense "Hey, Blake isn't sure who she likes" or "Hey, both of these candidates are plausible." But that's just my personal opinion. Congratulations to the people who do ship Bumblebee, though. Are ya happy? You got what you wanted.
Well, it finally happened and honestly? I think they absolutely nailed this scene! I know people were getting frustrated with how long it took. But it makes sense from a story perspective. Blake had gotten out of an abusive relationship with Adam and Yang was afraid she'd screw something up between them. They had to be sure and now they finally admit to one another how they feel. I wouldn't have done it any different. I feel like there is a genuine connection between Yang and Blake since Volume 2. I'm not gonna act like Bumbleby was always planned and that shouldn't matter. Characters change, they grow, and sometimes relationships blossom much like real life. Maybe Bumbleby wasn't always planned. Doesn't mean it can't work. I'm excited to see where this goes! And watch their relationship continue to deepen as the story goes on.

I have to agree. Yes the animation at times (especially in the fight scenes from previous seasons) took a nosedive where it had no fluidity. They've definately been improving and so far Volume 9's been a big step in the right direction. This whole scene was beautiful.

There was real creative love behind this scene. The creative way of using fairytales and visual themes to make them confront the truth (which this whole season has been about), to how Yang becomes flustered when Blake tears down her wall of bravado, then the way the skies reflect their colors and the song lyrics, (gold for yang, violet for blake) (You are the sun, you are the night) and the colors blend when they kiss.
This scene was a labor of creativity and love, hands down.

Let me tell you guys, I have been waiting for this scene for YEARS. Part of me was hoping it wouldn't actually happen this episode because I felt like it would have been mainly about Jaune and a big explanation on everything that is going on, leaving really no time for a proper build up, but... I must take all of it back, and honestly? They couldn't have done this any better. God bless CRWBY, always surprising in the best possible way. I am so happy to finally being able to witness this scene. This was GORGEOUS. The animation, the writing, the lightning, the whole choice, the voice acting. Worth the whole LONG wait. ♥

Bet you anything the Ever After has been watching Yang and Blake since volume one and has been praying they end up there so it can finally get them together. And it worked.
The culmination of 10 years of calling Bake & Yang's relationship from the get go all wrapped up in 3 minutes....and absolutely BEAUTIFUL and master-crafted 3 minutes! Watched it I don't know how many times now and STILL get a little teary eyes each and every time.
That sparkle in Blake's eyes when she said "Just say it. Yang." She knew what Yang was thinking. And when she said "I love you too." just as Yang finished talking.

Don’t get me wrong, I can understand why people ship them, but unlike Blake and Yang (who have already dealt with their past, that being yangs mother and Blake’s white fang history) Ruby and Weiss have a lot to work through themselves first. I mean, Weiss did just lose her entire home kingdom, and Ruby is in no mental condition to focus on a relationship.
If anything, I think a pairing between one of them and Jaune is more likely. They already showed that Weiss is attracted to him, and he and Ruby are both going through the same kind of trauma together.

At this point Kali making Sun uncomfortable with her cougarish manners, or Jaune giving survivor's guilt angst monologues to Pyrrha's tutorial video would be more fulfilling to watch than another boring Eclipse scene that really does nothing for either character.
After all those traumatic experiences in their life and deadly situations... They deserve this romance.
To those saying Blake should have been with Sun. I understand it because it was obviously shown. Their moments were portrayed on screen clearly that I myself thought they would be together. Sun really shows that he likes Blake romantically but Im not sure if Blake has the same level of liking him.
Since its obviously shown that Sun and Blake were hanging out together this got me questioning the episode of the Dance on Volume 2. Before the dance Blake and Yang talked and then what got me is that before Yang exits she looked back and suggested a dance with Blake with a smirk on her face. And then during the meet up of Blake and Sun, Blake said her first dance is reserved to someone else which was Yang. This is the episode that made me think that Sun won't be the canon love interest for Blake, its actually Yang who will end up with Blake. Sun is what you call "The False Love Interest" where a character acts like the canon love interest and they would show obvious romance scenes between them but actually he/she wont end up with the MC.
Thats why they made the dance scene between Yang and Blake so short and that's why their scenes only has very small hints and not as obvious as Sun and Blake so that it won't be also obvious to the audience because the writers probably want it to be a surprise.
What 100% confirmed my hunch is the last scene between Blake And Sun, After they won and got the first relic. Blake and Sun were about to be separated and I assumed this would be their last scene for a long time that's why there is for sure a kiss scene that will happen between them just like Jaune and Pyrrha's kiss scene if they are romantically canon. Well, there was indeed a kiss but Blake kissed Sun on the cheek. I mean its Blake of course she would kiss him on the cheek and not on the lips but then again this might be their last meeting before Blake and her gang will face a possible impending death because of their enemies. So why did the writers not drop the ball in that perfect moment if Sun and Blake were romantically canon? because they are not the canon couples.
After that, the scenes of Blake and Yang became more and more obvious and I can actually say Blake likes Yang romantically and vice versa even before their kiss. Try comparing the romance scenes of Sun and Blake between Blake and Yang you would know the difference. This is a clever way to set up romance between characters if you want it to be surprising/unexpected.

I have been replaying and watching this video non-stop since I first saw it two days ago...and yet I can't blame myself. This was so well done. The emotion, the music, the colours, the tone, the lighting, the imagery...just, all of it is amazing! I genuinely thought this wasn't real when I saw it in a TH-cam short, but I'm so glad I was wrong. Plus, the clever metaphors and stuff that are tying into the visuals of this scene...they knew exactly what they were doing.
I always had a 50/50 feeling about this couple because of what people said about them. I can see why some people don't like this couple and I understand too...but these two always had a soft spot in my heart. This scene just shows why I love them and honestly, I don't care if I love or hate them now....because this scene elevates them back into that special soft spot in my heart. This scene will always hold a special place and piece of my heart, no matter how many times I see it. Thank you RWBY and thank you CRWBY too.

I...never liked this ship. I never enjoyed how forced it felt. I never enjoyed how it came out of nowhere when there was absolutely no previous build up to this up until, like, volume 6...I think? Yang's affection was inconsistent, because one minute she didn't WANT to be with Blake and was apprehensive, and then the other she was all lovey dovey. The mere fact Blake takes priority over YANG'S OWN SISTER shows that this wasn't a good relationship to *begin* with and how it HEAVILY bogged down Yang's character as a whole.
But I have to admit, and I hate to say it, but this scene is really well done nonetheless. I do not ship Bumblebee, and this doesn't really make me ship it, but it does make me see it in a slightly cuter light. I firmly believe that RT should have at least kept it going with Sun, and maybe made it a bit more vague with who Blake would have ended up choosing and GIVING that sense "Hey, Blake isn't sure who she likes" or "Hey, both of these candidates are plausible." But that's just my personal opinion. Congratulations to the people who do ship Bumblebee, though. Are ya happy? You got what you wanted.

Well, it finally happened and honestly? I think they absolutely nailed this scene! I know people were getting frustrated with how long it took. But it makes sense from a story perspective. Blake had gotten out of an abusive relationship with Adam and Yang was afraid she'd screw something up between them. They had to be sure and now they finally admit to one another how they feel. I wouldn't have done it any different. I feel like there is a genuine connection between Yang and Blake since Volume 2. I'm not gonna act like Bumbleby was always planned and that shouldn't matter. Characters change, they grow, and sometimes relationships blossom much like real life. Maybe Bumbleby wasn't always planned. Doesn't mean it can't work. I'm excited to see where this goes! And watch their relationship continue to deepen as the story goes on.
