    I used your information to build a wall 24 inches wide and 48 inches tall, your information was extremely informative, thank you. I found the design has a couple short comings I think I have fixed. The first is that the recommended air-stone does not give a consistent bubble pattern, some chambers had larger bubbles than others. I changed to a man made air-stone (TOP FIN BUBBLE WALL) is the brand which has very consistent bubbles. Second the design does not allow you to fill the chambers to the top with water, because bubbles rise up several inches above the water level and spill over the side leaving everything wet. I glued a plexiglass strip to the top making a cap and sealed it air tight. Then I drilled small holes .060 diameter in the cap centered on each chamber. This allows the chamber to breathe and does not allow the burst bubbles to come out. Additionally, I drilled one larger hole on each side of the new cap big enough to allow filling and put a plugin the hole that has a small hole to allow the plug to breath. This allows the water level to be within one inch from the top without bubblles spilling over the top. Last comment is GOOP brand clear adhesive seals everything peerfeectly without the needed to use any other adhesive. It is readily available in big box stores or on line. Thanks again fun project to build.

    This is excellent! Be careful with that M seal though, I don't know anything about that product directly but it seems very similar to other 2 part putty and typically you must handle those with gloves for safety! Any other viewers might wanna double check the package just in case!

    Thank you for this great job. Can I use alcohol as an alternative to water because the water will become algae in it after a period of time?

    • @cryora
      @cryora 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Probably but better to use lower concentrations or it will smell / evaporate faster

    • @JOYinDIY
      @JOYinDIY  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you 😀
      You can use distilled water..it have very less chances of forming algae

      Thankyou😊.You can't use mineral oil. I think bubbles won't form in a good way and yes you can make a table top one.

    I'm planning to do a 6ft x 9ft version of this...... I'm living in a temperate climate country, Does the polycarbonate sheet easily gets dirty or yellowish in a few months? Pls I need an honest answer before doing this project and thank you in advance.....

    • @JOYinDIY
      @JOYinDIY  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Always honest😀.. polycarbonate sheet doesn't turn yellow n I suggest you to use distilled water to avoid it getting dirty and also Airstone getting clogged..
