Great review again, In a few days I'll receive my V4.1 with the integrated Airbag! €1200 for a high end race suit with an integrated airbag is just incredible! It's in a way even better than the Alpinestars Tech Air vests because In&Motion has been making Airbags for decades. Multiple MotoGP factory teams are using it. Great job RST!
We are looking forward to offering the airbag version of this suit in 2022. As of now In&Motion are not able to offer them here in the US for track use. Some legal bs that is pretty much sorted out now. - Van
I actually bought this suit with the integrated airbag a while ago. Super comfortable when riding. I think the knee armor is only upto level 1 CE, not sure why they skimped out there. Regardless, I had a crash wearing the suit in the canyons, i kinda flew off the bike at around 40mph. Airbag worked, i landed mostly on my back and left hips, I managaed to get up, have a breather bc of the puffed up airbag, then picked my bike up from the middle of the road, to the side, and then waitied for EMT to arrive. The suit had no tears whatsoever, just scratches. My bike was a total loss, though. I did not suffer any critical injury (lots of muscle pain and neck strain tho which was expected). I'd recommend the suit to anyone. RST did an amazing job. I'm glad I had been following the brand.
Thanks for the feedback and I am happy to hear the suit protected you. Sorry about the bike. - Van
RST used some of the softest level 2 armor out there too. It’s super comfy, totally unnoticeable when riding. No pressure points like you get with some of the stiffer rubber/foams.
This suit is a home run from start to finish. - Van
Seriously considering getting this suit, interesting that you should mention the armor because it's big factor for me with pointy joints. I dig the previous Alpinestars armor which have a soft foam inside, for reference. Any chance you have compared these armors? I've tried some suits with Betac armor but that was too stiff, and not soft enough.
@@gtewewrrrrrr I find all the modern BETAC armor used in race suits super flexible and light. Same stuff A* uses in their newer suits too.
@@cblais19 Gotcha. Recently tried on an Ixon Vortex 3 suit with BETAC armor and wasn't to my liking. Same with a Revit suit. My AS jacket (GP Pro V2) has their lvl 1GP-R armor, with a foam pad on the inside which I really like. How'd you compare the RST armor to the BETAC?
Thank You for sharing this info, I just ordered this suit.
Thanks for the order and enjoy the new suit! - Van
I own the version with the integrated airbag... for just over 1000€ it's auch a steal it's crazy!
Best suit I have ever worn.
I changed out the standard lvl 1 knee armor for a stiched in high class lvl 2 protector and now it's perfect
I absolutely love it and RST as a brand is absolutely superb.
Thanks for sharing your feedback. - Van
Hey, looking at buying the airbag version of this suit shortly - just deciding between £1000 on off-the-peg, or £1500 for an RST tailor made suit. How did you change out the knee armour? Did you get RST to do that?
@@danwalker5510 Hey Dan! If you got the option to do a custom made suit I would definetely do that if I were you.
Unfortunately I do not have that option so I bought the standard suit and it was changed a little for me while I had my knee protector changed.
I was having it done by a little company in germany that only does aftermarket modifications on suits :)
I have the older generation Pro series suit and it's served me really well.
That is also an excellent suit. - Van
RST continues to kill it. If it wasn't coming from Van the man himself, you'd have to call BS. That price seems too good to be true. Thank you, RST and STG!!! ❤❤❤
This is 100% not too good to be true. The value this stuff offers is unmatched in the industry today. - Van
THIS!!! THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR!!!! gonna order soon!!! Do you ship to Dubai???
Nice suit, probably isnt enuff stretch to fit my gut! hahaha Shared this for a friend thats looking at a new suit. This one is a banger for sure man!!!
There is a lot of stretch panels man! Thanks for watching and sharing. - Van
I love my current RST suit but this one looks much better. I kind of wish mine had that hip armor since that was the point of impact in my last crash. I'm considering this one or the RST Pro Series.
All of the three RST suit models we are carrying this year have the hip armor in them. Lots of suit at a fair price. - Van
RST definitely gives a lot of bang for the buck. I have som3 of their kit. Recently, I bought my wife a perforated leather jacket, the GT. It’s very good for £250 ($345). However, I’d like to see TPU elbow cups on both her jacket and the RST race suits. I know the suit has elbow sliders but many suits have both these days.
RST offers the most value in sportbike gear for sure. - Van
so i know that I'm getting a suit from you guys as I do with my other bike gear. I'm currently trying to lose weight, and I've already gotten down 30lbs. This is a top contender and also an A* GP Pro suit. the Alpinestars being $500 more. Just wished this suit has a splash of color in it. I'm a big fan of the the RST suits that the dudes from 44Teeth are wearing.
Appreciate your support! IMO this suit is a better suit than the GP Pro when you compare them head to head. Tons of value with RST. - Van
I’m 6’3” 210lbs what size would you recommend? Also is the sizing relatable for an alternate underlining suit?
For the undersuit you would be an X-Large in the model below:
www.sportbiketrackgear.com/psycleskins-undersuit-base-layer/
I would suggest a size 56 Euro for a race fit in this suit or a 58 Euro for a more comfortable fit for you. - Van
Is airbag version of the v4.1 and the non airbag version of v4.1 otherwise identical?
Yes the suits are basically the same with the exception of the airbag and the integrated back protector in the airbag suit. - Van
Will you ever have the 52 in stock again? 6'0 175lb athletic build. I think 54 is too loose for me
We have another shipment on the way now. ETA is August. - Van
I am 5' 10" 260 with an athletic build. What size would you recommend for this suit? 48/58?
I would suggest starting with the 50/60. - Van
Would this work with a tech air 10? 5’11, 175 lbs what size would you recommend?
Thank you
You could use this with a Tech Air 10 for sure. I would suggest a size 54 Euro for you with the 10. - Van
Will you be getting more of their other stuff? I have some of their touring gear and love it, would love a leather 2pc. also

@@sportbiketrackgear Let Jimmy know I'll be bothering him soon LOL
I’m currently looking for a new set of leathers but struggling to find a decent fit. Looking like custom is the way forward as I can get the right size in 1 part of the suit, but other parts are drastically wrong. Right waist and leg length, but legs are far too baggy. Right fit on the legs but waist too small. Right chest makes the rest of the suit ridiculously loose. Right fit for the lower half means the chest is too small etc etc. I’m 6’ 6”, 250lbs, 48” chest, 38” waist, slim legs and 35” inseam and all of that doesn’t add up to any standard sizing I’ve found.
Shoot an email to Jimmy@sportbiketrackgear.com. He is 6' 5" and has a ton of experience helping taller riders find a good fit off the rack. - Van
Hi Bryan, Great review looks like a nice suit. I'm looking for a new suit and was hoping to use the Tech Air 5 underneath but thinking it maybe a little to awkward for track days getting the suit on and off and being able to pull the suit down between sessions with the air bag since it's not attached.
How do you feel this compares to the Alpinestars GP Pro V2? Also which suit would you recommend between the GP Pro, RST Race Dept. V4.1 and the new Pro series.
Thanks,
This suit competes with others that sell for $2000. IMO this is a better suit than the GP Pro. Using it with the Tech Air 5 should work pretty well. Once you get used to getting in and out of it will take no time at all. We have several customers riding in suits with the TA5 now and it has been working well. An excellent option. - Van
What size would you recomment for 5'7 145 or less lbs.? 38/48 or 40/50? I couldn't fit into the size 52 Alpinestars Atem 3 when I was 180 lbs. That size 52 suit ended up enlarged three inches by the thigh and one inch by the calf area. Now size 50 Dainese Mistel fits loose. My size 33 pants will fall right off if I don't have a belt. Size 30 is most likely my current size waist. The size chart seems incorrect. The chart has size 40 with paint 30, chest 44-46, waist 37-38, hip 45-46 and inseam 30-31. the chest, waist and hip measurement numbers seem too large for size 40/50. Thx.
I would suggest the 38/48 for a race fit and a 40/50 for a little more operating room. - Van
Your intro played at 1.5x speed sounds even better. Hahaha anyway what's the best suit for street riding, most comfortable and airy?
This one has a ton of perforation in it so it will cool very well while you are moving. Most of the race suits in our catalog offer a reasonable amount of perforation and cool pretty well while you are moving. Sitting in traffic is the issue. - Van
@@sportbiketrackgear thanks I'm researching on which is most comfortable for spirited road riding, it's pretty hot and humid here in the Philippines. Also i hope you try playing your intro at 1.5x at least once. Hahaha
link me up with that airbag..looking to get weird later
Let me know how that works out for you. - Van
@@sportbiketrackgear i think I might have to loose some midsection. I am going to start eating right and doing the damn thing tho.
Hey Bryan.....is that ur son in the Intro?? I'm pretty new here so asking.. Also i find ur channel amazing :)
Yes that is my Son Max Van. He is racing MotoAmerica this season. Growing up fast. - Van
Do you do international deliveries?
We ship internationally using DHL or USPS. Please add the items to the cart you are interested in along with your shipping details and the site will generate quotes for the methods that are available. - Van
RST offers these with integrated airbags now, can I purchase the airbag suits through you?
They are not able to import them into the US at this time. Allegedly this will be sorted out for next season. - Van
Are these significantly better than Alpinestar Atem suit? (original)
This has more stretch and is lighter than the Atem suit. - Van
can this be used as a street racing suit in the winter?
No reason you could not wear this on the street. - Van
@@sportbiketrackgear cool, gonna buy it..
What kind of back protection works with this suite?
You can wear any stand alone back protector with waist/shoulder straps on it no worries. - Van
Disclamer: only when NOT having the airbag activated!
You shouldn't wear a second backprotector in an airbag equiped suit or jacked.
The in&motion airbag has a backprotector integrated already btw.
It may cause malfunction or cause you injuries cause of too little space left when deployed.
The socket behind you not being level annoys me more than it should... :D
We did that just to annoy you. You're welcome - Van
Im 6ft2, 185lbs, what size would be best for me do you think?
42 US for a race fit, 44 US for a little more operating room. - Van
Good afternoon . Im looking into purchasing this suit . Size recommendations
5'6 215 pounds
Chest 47
Waist 46
Hips 47
Inseam 26.5
Thank you.
I would suggest a size 56 Euro for you. Should get an excellent fit. - Van
"Co rona Apocalypse B.ll Sh.." you talking my language bro.. nice suite btw
The people who "lead" us are not doing a very good job. - Van
@@sportbiketrackgear i think they are doing a great job, except they dont work for the people, they work for Sat an
@@sportbiketrackgear stay strong bro, and never let rainbozilla buy you out
Where are these made?
United Kingdom 🇬🇧
Pakistan
Designed in the UK make in PK. - Van
RST has their own factory in Pakistan. We are seeing a ton of excellent motorcycle apparel coming from PK now. Kind of the new China. - Van
Bryan, why you didn’t choose the RST Race Dept V4.1 Airbag ?
It comes wirh an integrated Airbag from Ixon/in&motion and it’s perfect.
In my opinion much better than an additional airbag west like A-Stars.
And coasts in UK only 899.- pounds with the airbag integrated ! 😎
I would guess that it’s because they aren’t offering the track option yet in the USA.
They are not able to sell them here in the US due to some legal BS that is sorted now. We will have these with the airbag for 2022. - Van
100% correct. Sorted for next year now. We had tons of these on order and there were cancelled when they discovered they could not offer them here in the US due to some licensing BS. - Van
👌
Thanks for watching. - Van
2:00 hehe
No idea what you are referring to. - Van
