As an Aussie and a pilot, I try to fly (as a PX) in and out of LCY whenever I can. Particularly due Both Direction ILS at 5.8degrees (compared with all others on Earth at 2.8 degrees.). A relative who captains heavies & tells me that even A320s can't 'do' the 5.8 degree approach, except for the BA A320-16 which is lightened/shorter in order to fly the LCY to JFK via Shannon (Ireland) as 16seat all first class route.
I just found the connection from DUS with Flybe for just EUR 90 round trip. And I stupidly fly from Weeze to Stansted the last time I went to London! Next time, it will be DUS-LCY :-)
Hi here. Thanks. Not sure. This was recorded from 8-9ish in the morning on friday. 20 movements in 30 minutes. (in the description) I have recorded even more during that hour but did not include it in the video as it was the usual stuff - Flybe and BA. Here - 51.507455, 0.047514
Thanks. As down below: "Faulty Panasonic 980 in 1080p mode with HDR turned on. Fault being damaged IS and autofocus making weird noise" I 'm pretty sure the weather and nice, early morning light contributed to the overall look of the footage.
I don't recommend it. It feels 'plasticky' , cheap materials on the outiside. Image stabilization is not up to standard, as you can see in the opening fame. It has a small sensor giving you bad quality video in low-light situations. Quality is fine if you have some sun out and clear skies... If you want superb quality footage, in any condition and good built quality, i'd either pick Sony FDR-AX100 or wait a year or two for a proper 4k camcorder. 2017 is definitely not the year of 'consumer-grade 4k camcorders' It's too early. or maybe im just a dumb pixel-peeper... :)
Thanks for that information, I'll keep my options open. Currently using the Sony RX10 mk3 and happy enough with that, even if the colours are a bit flat.
Where is the Dornier Do328. I went through the video twice and could not spot it. Well, I went back an spotted it, I think, in Gurnsey Aurigny livery. Is that it? Is that Sun Air Scandivavia?
Look at the nose " Operated by Sun Air Scandinavia" , for British Airways, hence their livery. Same goes for ComAir in Africa. Aircraft operated by ComAir but for British Airways, in BA livery.
I would have liked a few more seconds of each plane after leaving the ground. On some of the take offs you cut it right after leaving the ground. 20 seconds of climbout I would have liked.
Those embraers are such nice planes
Breathtaking quality, and interesting footage- thanks for sharing!
The Avro RJX is my favourite plane. It has the smoothest take off and handles turbulence well for such a small plane.

Do you know why there are 4 engines on those BAE Avros?
-Cause there wasn’t enough room for a fifth one
Fun viewing. Great shooting position.
Great video. Interesting and scenic airport. ✔️
Great vid. The flybe Dash 8 (2nd in) drops like a big daddy long legs round a lamp.
Interesting. I've watched them land from the citigroup building and they do feel a bit close as they go past canary wharf!

Truly outstanding
Be interesting to know where these flights are going to/coming from.
Lovely ATR-42 8:35
I think I'm in the background of this video a couple of times! 😂
Hi there! A big like from me! What time of day is the busiest? Were departures and arrivals frequent? Where were you standing? Great video!!!
Hi here.
Thanks.

Superb quality, what camera were you using?
Thanks.

Cheers, might have to consider one of those myself

Every camera gives off flat colours. You need to add saturation and contrast in post-processing, just like in this video.
Very nice mejt!
Nice one!
Thanks for uploading can I ask wheres the best spots to stand for videoing or in my case stills shooting.
awesome!
Very nearly as busy as LHR - size for size!
what is the white ufo at 5:29 ?
Great shots! Were you positioned near the Newham Borough building?

That plane is labeled British Airways livery. Notes in description of video referenced Sun Air Scandinavia.
