23:06 The brigandines corrupting the other rulers is an interesting theory. Maybe they're "high" on mana, or the mana stones have some kind of will.
25:32 Fun fact: Hazarov called Tim "Timu bō" (ティム坊) in Japanese, which means "little Tim" or "Timmy".
23:40 The blood of that beast (Zoar) is some kind of oil that can burn (Zoar's Flame), which is why I said they're a kind of "Saudi Arabia". It's just not clear how they exploited it, since apparently there was only one of those beasts.
25:00 Eliza is considered the reincarnation of the three Moule Ange sisters (those three are dead by now), maybe because the Sword of Ange "accepted" her. Again, I'm not sure how "three souls" would be in the same body, though.

I got a portable emulatin console and I discovered the og brigandine. I didnt know it existed and i was around for the ps1 era (also the nes era haha). So i gave it a try and I love it even tho im quite lost with its mechanisms. I then found out there is this new one and got it on steam. I`ve yet to sit down and play it, been a while since a game excited me this much. Your videos are my source of learning. Thanks!

I'm so happy that they revive Brigandine. I played it like 19 years ago and ever since, it became my favorite tactic game. I even still have Brigadine in my phone using emulator. I just hope they release a pc version. But i'm thinking of saving money to buy switch just for this game but i'm jobless because of the pandemic. So frustrating.. argghhh..

Omg... other playthrough videos kept moving Monsters out of Rune Hex... and got their units killed in Normal Difficulty. Drove me nuts! Will just be watching your video from now on.
This is why I always push for players to hit up the tutorial lol.
Playing as this nation is really hard. Mostly because it's hard to get enough mana to summon enough angels and unicorns to cover the front bases.
I wouldn't rely so much on Angels. Unicorns are good enough for support and while Angels to have Divine Ray, it's a hard to justify spending your Mana for them too early in the game. Try giving one unicorn to each leader in your army, and then budget the rest. I like to make sure I have 4 units for each leader on average. Spending cheap for Lizards can go a long way, especially since they can Block with their shields.
@@TheStellarArcadeagreed Lizard man is budget units but effective, they also move fast on water. Dragon is expensive and hard to maintain. Angel is good but also expensive

feel like im the only brigandine fan who doesn't cross class lul. 22 years of playing this game ive done it less then 10 times. feels too much like it muddies the waters of class identity
I actually didn't cross much in OG, however it seems to be much more viable and streamlined here.

Beware Finrall has E Growth dont expect more Mana Pool when raised. Just his AGI tho makes him worth using. Tankdodge Priest haha

I see brigandine I subscribed! I own the ps1 version been playing it for years best rpg of all time. Most unknown gem in video games ever. Truly if you enjoy this game you would enjoy the ps1 version as well even today that's how good this game. The fan base for this game has been small but only because the game wasn't known only so many copys of ps1 version sold in America. Super pumped for the new version!!!! Litterally bought a psp just to buy and play this game no other reason

A great idea! I've made an advanced class guide for knights and monsters, but an in-depth monster guide would be useful.
@@TheStellarArcade Yeah. I want to see Magic options and Skills of Tier 3 Angel and Demon to see if they're less versatile than OG.
Also curious about tier 3 Lich, Lizardman, Ancient Dragon, that new Imp. It's clear Bahamut got nerfed hard.
Roc now has 2 paths of upgrade: OG Phoenix and another bird (Green orb?)
Tier 2 Mandrake has some crazy 2-hex long range Paralysis attack (Strong Numb Powder) that is not a pre-move.
i finally got my game in and have been playing HOLY GUSTAVA EMPIRE for a couple of days. i just wiped out Norzale after a couple of failed spells and many shield guard and uncommon crits against my troops (classic brigandine). i find my PS4 analog sticks loose while moving unlike the ps1 controller. greatly enjoying the play through so far. i am basically playing custom normal with no time limit. i think i will play Mirelva or Guimoule on hard next time. i am finding that the AI doesn't fall for some of my ole skool tactics, so upgrades were made. wondering if you will put out cross class builds for various knights for some OP damage. i've searched and mainly just the cross class is explained but no actual builds shown. keep up the vids, i'll check out your Star Renegades when i get off this game.
Builds would be a great video. I did an in-depth guide on how cross classing works, but if the demand for specific builds is high then I'll release some in the future.

The first thing I do when I start a new game on the previous Brigandine is to fiddle with the options, usually setting the cursor speed. I want my cursor to zoom across the map lol

I found you while looking for brigandine videos. I thought the game looked awesome and bought it on release though I never played the old one. I actually started a game on easy first.
I'm kinda regretting it now. I nearly finished and barely even lost monsters :( soy easy is really just that. Easy. (I'm glad I picked my least favorite faction for "test"). So I don't think I learned that much.

Yes, Easy difficulty is going to be a cakewalk. Try Hard Mode soon. You'll have a better challenge. Also look forward to the Alternate Chapter (Challenge Mode).

@@TheStellarArcade Yeah, I was surprised at how different the vibe was for each....Granted I only beat it once, but I dont want to spoil the ending for you...Lets just say you will VERY much love the conclusion of the game. MUCH better then the ant-climactic original ending. You could say "challenge mode" is NOT the only "optional challenge"....Ill leave it at that....
MP recovery? I haven’t noticed any recovery even though I did a whole play through with the shinobi tribe. Please teach me 🙏
There is little to none in the game unfortunately. The battles would be pretty easy with reliable MP recovery. Umimaru can recover his own, and I don't recall if the Troubadour (Tier 3 Bard) had any. Just have to pay your battles sparingly when it comes to MP.

Not sure what you mean. You can still quest for knights.
Just got my game today. Pretty confused about cross classing. Is it a rule of thumb to cross class at 15?
Check the Proficiency level of your knights. You'll gain one proficiency per level and it maxes at 5. Level 5 Proficiency is your hint to cross class to something else, assuming you have 5 more levels to gain to master it. If you find any Enlightenment Scrolls on questing, they boost proficiency without having to level. That will effectively allow you to cross class sooner.

The X button! Or, at this point, I just think of it as the "up" button on the button side. It is also known as Y and Triangle. Finally playing Rocket league & Ghost of Tsushima which have what I think of as the "normal" confirm/cancel layout screws me up when playing any Nintendo Switch game because those buttons are reversed and it just... confuses my fingers.
As for the LP - interesting story on this nation tbh. I've only looked at the Republic and the Pirates so far so I'm going to enjoy this series now that I have the game to play myself haha.

@@TheStellarArcade Will do. It has been fun so far. As the Republic I stole Norzaleo's blue dragon in a fight and I have managed to level several other dragons to elemental tiers. My only sticking point so far are a felt lack of knights overall and just small feeling mana pool totals (or rune power? Whatever they are calling it).

This is my most favorite childhood game. I have been waiting this game for almost 18 years. I even emailed the original developer to continue this sequel as I'm willing to financially support the cost. So far this is the only positive event of this miserable year.

For new peoples who whanna play this game. What i dont like. 1) maps is very very primitive boring, after 10 hours of play it looks like a joke. Make a whole game, and every map just a same things with few colors..totaly useless. 2) Game have few mehanics but, looks like in 65 % of game they stop add ideas and something new or maybe theys money is finish to create endless game. ( i`m Big fan of turn base ) , and know many games with non stop mehanics.. like Disgaea series..its same looks as simple basic game but have so many activity. 3) i dont understand for what me wish to play just again with other Nation in game to choice, if all SAME, all monster to choice...all boring mechanics no points! I start my game at 1 time...finish in middle difficulty withouts any guides...and that all. i deleted, game looks empty for me. max 6 score frome 10. A lot of better games waits you in this genre.
