Faux "Gelli" Printing DIY Using a Gallon Size Baggie - Best "Gelli" Printing Hack

- Hi! In today's video I am going to show what I use to create faux gelli printing. This is an economical way to gelli print or mono print by using a gallon size ziplock or any similar type gallon baggie. In my personal opinion this hack is the next best thing to an actual Gelli plate. If you are not ready to commit to the Gelli brand plate I recommend you give this a try first.
Thank you for watching I appreciate you being here. Stay a while I've other videos to share on my home page. :)

Love the hack and how your envelopes turned out. ❤
Thank you! I'm so glad you enjoyed it. 😊😊😊
This is so much easier than using my gel plate! Thanks🤗
You’re welcome 😊
Had so much fun watching this video, Lily! Would really like to see your furniture project, and I love your coloring style! Thank you❤
You are so welcome! Thank you! :)
Beatiful 🎉envelopes❤
Thanks so much 😊 🥰😍😘
I love your excitement.
Thank you! ;)
What a fun video! I have been wondering about gelli printing, but have not wanted to invest in gelli plates. I have a lot of acrylic paint to use up, so i will definitely be trying this!! Thanks for sharing this.
You should! 😊😊😊
Lillian I just found your channel and I love your genuine enthusiasm! I love your color palette and playful style and I, like you, cannot get away from using turquoise in my work. I also love chartreuse, magenta and turquoise together! thank you for your fresh and sunshiny take on these envelopes, they are so fun! FYI a friend of mine would go to our local gift shop where cards were sold. She asked what they do with all the left over envelopes people forgot and if she could have them. They wound up regularly saving them for her and she and I used them for mixed media!
Hello and Welcome! I'm so glad you are here. I love all things turquoise, hehehe. The envelopes are a perfect substrate for mixed media. How cool to have that relationship with the gift store. Awesome find. I appreciate your kind words...you are very sweet! Thank you for watching my video. :)
Thanks for the inspiration!! I love COLOR..so tired of "oatmeal" journals. 😂😂
You're welcome. Changing it up every now and again always a good thing. ;)
How fun are these? I have sooo many envelopes, can't wait to play, thank you!
Have fun! 😊😊😊
You might not have inspired your sister but you inspired me!! I too have a gelplate, but this looks like way more fun!! And envelopes oh my, who doesn't have a ton of these. Fantastic idea, can't wait to get started. I never knew that the grass thing was a drying rack. You see these at the thrift stores. Time for me to get one. TFS Lilly. Hugs from California * L
Go for it! Btw, my sister just told me yesterday she's going to give it a go. 😊
I love the rack for my stencils!
That's a fantastic idea!
Great ideas and examples. Thanks.❤
Thanks for watching! 😊😊😊
I remember when you painted OUR bedroom walls with a checker print and I think the color was peach 🤩 oh and I’ll remember to use your favorite mug when I go over 😆🥰 your lil sis ❤
I loved that wall! Just me in the 80's and my teenage decorating ideas, hehe. I can't find my mug. :(
*Great video. I've been wanting to try gellie printing! I've got some 2 gallon zipper baggies, think I'd like mine bigger to cover a full heel of copy paper👍🏾.*
Go for it! Use what you have. :)
OmGoodness!
I just love this video!
Can’t wait to get started.
Might I say you’re looking radiant today!
How you find time to do any of this I’ll never know ( but so glad you did )
Have a safe and wonderful week 💕
You are so stinking sweet! Thank you for your kindness. 🥰😊🙃🙂

Hi, just want to say you inspire me to make/try things I have never done before. Thank you so very much for sharing your hacks. I look forward to watching your videos. I know you have a real job but please make more videos, lol. Oh, what do you do with the left over paint still left on the baggie? Do you wash it off then just reuse it(baggie) or just keep adding paint? Sorry for the silly question.
Wow! Your kindness is greatly appreciated. I'm so glad you enjoyed this video. Your question is not silly...it is totally valid. Whatever paint is left on the baggie I just leave it as it is. I don't clean it but you also saw how I left that white cardstock to dry on the baggie and even after a couple hours it totally lifted the paint off. I just love the accumulation of paint on the baggie because it will eventually lift with future prints. Hope that was helpful. :)
