16:18 That’s the thing about analog horror, there are usually no actual jumpscares. Just the type of vibe it gives from the combination of creepy, disturbing imagery, audio/sounds, and tension can honestly give you that unsettling feeling to make sure all your doors and windows are locked and closed before you go to sleep.
It's shit like this is what made Outlast so good. They took that same mindset with some subtle jumpscares. It's the atmosphere and implications that carry the horror, along with the coiniquences The first 3 movies of Paranormal Activity also took advantage of this
Theory: The Mandela Catalogue takes place in an alternate universe where the monsters from Monster’s Inc never discovered laughing energy. They switched to kidnapping kids to harvest their scream energy.
I find it funny that Muta said that thing about picking up acting classes because the final conversation in the vol. 2 video has some incredible voice acting, the awkward delivery of the calls is probably intentional because it's implied that the alternates are the one calling you to go to their house and to things so they can get you too, it's why the alternate calling on one of the first videos sounds so weird and awkward. It would be fun to see a video fully analyzing every aspect of this series so far because there are so many cool details and things worth exploring, like the guy in vol 2 being named Adam and the fact that he's the baby from the mom video and he was searching for his mom
Idk about that ending convo, i still think that was pretty bad acting. People don't actually talk like angry anime shounen protagonists. Dont get me wrong, i love the mandela catalogue series so far, but it does reek of only-one-take. They should do multiple takes, listen to them, improve on them, etc.
@@nyalan8385 and how they tell you to take a firearm and try to kill it, if not, kys? Well, I think it's because they want you to have something to do the last one and end the pain, shooting at them and figuring it does nothing is so you fall into despair faster and get to it. I somehow doubt they know they were downright doing waht they want their victims to do.
Wanted to clarify something. Alternates aren't "treated commonly" The guys in this episode just didn't think they were real. The whole reason these guys were scaming people was because they were using the general populations fear of alternates to make money.
I think its less “they dont think its real” and a little bit more “they got a bit cocky with not really encountering anything serious” and then immediately coming across The Intruder One of the important things Muda skipped over was right after Jonah trying to talk to Adam through the images and the “Nothing is worth the risk” graffiti is Jonah yelling at Adam and trying to convince him to not go to the basement before saying he is not going to be there to find out what happens to him. One of the things that Jonah says to Adam is “You are not invincible! I know you think you are after doing these fucking death marches, and nothing happened, but this is real.”
I went to a Methodist primary school when I was young and we did watch the beginners bible on vhs quite a few times. Seeing it now on the Mandela catalogue disturbs me on a personal level.
I’d say it wasn’t even a month when I discovered the Mandela Catalogue. I didn’t really understand it at first, but it truly scared the shit out of me. Not even like an instant jump scare, but more of a internal, gut wrenching fear of the unknown and unexpected. His videos fucked with me on a extreme level..
Adam is still alive, he was unafraid but Jonah was and it picked up on that. Once the TV blue screened it was no longer with Adam as every attempt to make him afraid failed. As opposed to Jonah who was afraid for Adam for having left him alone and it tricked Jonah into believing he was killed
I believe its tied in with another story of adam losing his mom to an alternate from an earlier entry, so after hes hunting for a long while he finally found one and lost. They both were hunted by them and died
Plus it’s not just “not being afraid.” While it seems strong willed and or confident can temporarily resist the alternate’s effect, there is absolutely no evidence and in fact counter evidence that if your just not scared of an alternate, it’s psychological attack won’t do anything.
16:17 analogue horror doesn't rely on jumpscares, it's the fact that they take something potentially real or relatable and makes it eeire that makes it scary
Jumpscared are overrated Real horror has no boundaries, no morals, it is raw like nature. However, such a creation shouldn’t just be crossing the line for the sake of it it must be impactful and have meaning. The feeling of safety must be very rare, but even when it is given it must be very little..a little illusion.
@@tony_5156 Its not really just that, I think youre confusing it with cheap jumpscares just meant to be there. Its the reason why people think fnaf is scary, not because of the jumpscares alone but the climax of the situation, if you take just fnaf 4 without knowing anything about the series it become terrifying, not because of the jumpscares but because of how on edge you are, the leading moments coming up to that jumpscare. And youre stuck in one room with no instructions but "listen to breathing." Although I do moestly agree, horror is meant to be raw, but thats what makes the scariest video games, scary. And its also what makes analog horror so scary.
@@RaccoonTay the scariest thing is simply the unknown and the false sense of daft eye, you damn know well your not safe and your just coping to not pass out from stress.
@@tony_5156 I agree, not all horror has to be that way, and not all good horror is that, but that’s why the fnaf series is general is terrifying playing it for the first time.
@@tony_5156 also another thing to add is this is why the Mandela catalogue is also terrifying. It takes the unknown, something that could happen to us, and implement it like it’s real. I get chills everytime they talk about alternatives because you kinda of think in your mind, ‘is this something that happened we just don’t know about it?’ Or ‘what if this is real?’ That’s real horror
I grew up with the Beginner's Bible so it's kinda funny to see these clips with cryptic writing. Like someone making a creepypasta with veggietales clips
What I'm liking about this so far is how it instills paranoia about anything anomalous within the universe as being Alternates messing with us They don't actually kill adults, they just make them paranoid and drives them mad
and when they kill themselves they steal their bodies, theres a theory that the alternates are weird looking because when the people die they steal their deformed corpses
A youtuber called Wendigoon covered this a while back, and imo his interpretation was really good. Basically, the alternates are demons, and it is implied that Jesus was made mortal and replaced with an alternate, Lucifer, and that he has corrupted the world in his absence.
After watching this, despite not fully understanding the lore, I'm super fucking paranoid and uneasy right now. I already have a fear of hearing a voice/voices or seeing shit that isn't there (a fear of insanity) and the implications in this analog horror just fueled the fuck out of that fear
@@beabadooboob Well, I watched The Mandela Catalogue yesterday for the first time, got creeped out and paranoid, then I slept and didn't have a single nightmare. I might just not be that prone to nightmares (since I can't really remember any nightmares I've ever had), but I don't think this series is as much nightmare fuel as it is disturbing and creepy.
@@cementbox4430 I'd imagine it's that as well for countries whose religions are that as the major religion, it's just that Christianity is the biggest religion in America so the alternates use Christianity more
@@Пинагод Idk it's interesting because Jews and Muslims are a lot less keen on religious iconography than Christians are (Islam and Judiasm outright ban it), so I wonder how similar it would be
@@nanashi2146 I guess that's true. Mainly from what we've seen from the alternates is that they use digital visuals to incorporate their delusions on people. Though I don't think they need religion to _get_ to people, they simply need a digital screen to find a way in, religion was only being trampled with since it gives majority of the people influence and it seems as if these Christian videos are often shown to children. If the religions are strict when it comes to their religion being shown on screen, then other things that certain general populations find virtue of would be taken advantage of. But I'm just guessing off my ass here, if other religions aren't as favorable to showing religious stuff on screen. Still would be interesting if they showed the situations from other countries as well, if this was a pandemic and not an epidemic
@@Пинагод I’m a Muslim and let me tell you we’re probably as affected as the Christian’s as we also have those religious cartoons but we just don’t show the prophet Muhammad (ص) which makes me wonder if we were to see the Muslim version of Jesus’s story would it be corrupted in the same way or differently?
(Not so) Fun fact: The government worked with human psychologists to develop the emergency broadcast system alert tone. They researched tones that were the most unpleasant to the human ear and came up with the existing one since it was to mimic an infant crying harshly in an uncanny valley sort of way. It's meant to make you feel uncomfortable and get your attention/response to the emergency broadcast.
@@stephennye2671 to the extent that it’s regulated heavily by the FCC to prevent unauthorized broadcast of that sound. I know Olympus Has Fallen and some others have paid fines for using it out of its intended context. People would just stop paying attention if Progressive started using that tone at the beginning of all its commercials to make you listen up.
From what I gathered, demons are basically Alternates, and they managed to replace Jesus as well as others in the past. Abrahamic religions got corrupted from the start, and anybody seeking answers from religions, psychology, or any source where thinking can be easily influenced are prime targets (giving bad advice and "answers" to vulnerable people makes this easier). The Alternates need a person to be mentally vulnerable and open to suggestion in order to be replaced.
@@MyNamesComics I wonder what happened to Gabriel and the other angels who got replaced. If the angels in that universe are like actual angels in that they literally can't die, what happens to them? They might just actually be dead, but it'd be interesting to think about if they weren't.
The worst (or you can say best) type of horror is not some loud noise, in your face jumpscare, it's the one that unsettles you, giving just enough information to make you imagine things yourself but not too much. Fear of the unknown is in all of us and if you can control what you want them to imagine it can give of a really scary result. Jumpscares work only in the moment, but the thought of something creeping in the corner of the dark side of your room keeps you up at night...
Yeah, there was this video on TH-cam called "analyzing the scariest movie scene" it was about a Japanese film, and it was pretty unhinged because the lady was just standing there and eventually slowly moving.
33:00 This in particular is something I'm pretty sure everyone experienced as a child, you wake up in the middle of the night, there's a funny looking shadow in a corner or at the end of your bed, so you close your eyes and refuse to open them again in case it sees you open them or in case it's after getting closer
I think its important to break down the order of how alternates get you/become you. They've demonstrated that messages can be put through television and other technology, and the reason is that in the beginning they can't physically harm you. They're some unexplained kind of metaphysical being. They tell you distressing information about your own existence or learn your fears because if they can't harm you they'll get you to harm yourself. One they learn your fear they begin to manifest as you, as an alternate, so they can distress you and others around you directly, with the end goal being to get you to 'game over' yourself. For example, the guy investigation hears his friend on the radio screaming that there's someone behind him, which he takes as a joke. The radio then plays the same exact phrase again. We know by what happens later in the video that the second guy back at base isn't an alternate yet, so the disruption is just a rouse by the alternate to use the radio to scare him. It works and hes pushed to hysteria, the alternate then talks to him through the radio and the tv as an angel/intruder to tell him there's no other way out. Once you are dead, they take your place. Its kind of unknown if they inhabit your corpse or just become physical, but at that point they can then harm those around you. But we then switch POV to guy 2 and guy 1 is begging him to come. Guy 2 knows there's something wrong and gets a little worried, and the alternate proceeds to guilt trip him by saying he left his friend behind. Its hard to say when guy one got replaced by the alternate, but we know that as victims 3 and 4, neither survive, with the implication being that unlike the first case, the alternates they likely spawned are unaccounted for. I think one of the biggest things up in the air even after volume 2 is whether the religious stuff is implying they've had influence since Abrahamic times or if its just an example of the ways they play against existential fears. Considering the ongoing themes of media leading to hysteria, and the fact that they used an existing and decently know religious cartoon, I'd say the latter. Given the time frame this is supposed to take place, it seems like this intruder figure stealing all the children in the county and then presenting himself on the television is a direct commentary on the Amber Alert Hysteria that started in the 80s and 90s, where local news broadcast would report on child abductions and cause parents to tighten their protective grip and distrust in the neighborhood.
So its Basically Like the Clown from I.T They can shapeshift into different beings, They can turn Human to look like us and tricking them (Deceiving), And can turn to Eldrich Horror like beings whatever they like. They use fear as a Weapon, Just like I.T use fear so their Victim is Weak and Delicious. I.T can also go through Televisions, Making Illusions and Making our Mind Break, just like the Teen who killed his own Father because I.T encourages him to do it. I.T Hunts and prey his Victims just like those Alternates learning everything about them and their Fears.
I think the alternates inhabit the recently vacated body, your corpse. Hence why the third type of Alternate have fucked up and impossible biology. Because they're inhabiting corpses, which are fucked up either due to decomposition or how the person died, hence the "Uh-oh! Bad Decision Mark!" message after Heathcliff shot himself, he visibly damaged his body when he died and the Alternate that took over now has to use Heathcliffs clearly fucked up corpse. At least that's my theory, which I heard from another reaction to the Mandela Catalogue, but it makes sense. To go into more detail, the first type of Alternate are probably either, inhabiting corpses in good condition, or as Naota Kenichi said, manifesting as you to scare you into offing yourself, and the second type is probably the Metaphysical form that can't actually harm anybody. Idk what The Intruder is tho, if it's an Alternate, it's probably an unidentified fourth type or something.
Oh my God, it would be such a great twist if alternates weren't actually demons and are just playing on religion because for many people religion is like a ship amidst the chaos of the world. If they could erode people's trust in religion, humans would be easy picking! And the scary part is it's working, not just in universe but in real life! I'm lurking in the MC discord and I never once saw anyone present this theory but it makes so much sense. Damn this was an eye opener
The thing with Mark is terrifying. The idea of that thing being outside your room for DAYS. Knocking, asking you to open the door over and over...again, for DAYS. You can't blame Mark for giving up.
One of the scariest things is the level of intelligence the alternates Have. When those 2 guys went to the house with the “cat alternate” there was never a woman calling them or in the house. They were on a call with the alternate. Because it dosent fully understand the human speech patterns, when it heard “we can do tonight” it thought they said “we can do two nights” and responded with “can you do three?” It was able to lure them all the way over there.
“We could do tonight if you want”. “Can you do... Three nights?” I like this little detail where the alternate thought they were going to be there for “two-nights” and doubles down instead, despite the former not even being an offer.
It's either that or there's something with three days/nights in the bible/religious story. I'm 9 months late to the party sadly, so you might not even care anymore.
usually whenever i watch horror shit i still manage to sleep peacefully knowing it's not real, but it would be an understatement for me to say i have lost several hours of sleep because of this series despite knowing it's obviously fake

I mean I can understand why he felt like that must be morse. No one apart from computer nerds uses binary for communication. And it's pretty common to write morse in 0s and 1s, too.
@@theairaccumulator7144 I did not feel like having to explain binary in the comment section of a SOG video. And no, we don't. A computer does. We use morse code though. As I said, the only people using binary for (direct) communication or as some kind of encryption are computer nerds.
Probably after this I'd take a look at Monument Mythos, there's so much deep lore involved with that series Aside from the Mandela Catalogue and Monument Mythos, there's definitely a surge in Analog Horror from older ones like Local58 and Walten Files, to the newer ones like Gemini Home Entertainment
I like that the cat woman is an obvious alternate. "Well, we can do it tonight (two night) if you want?" "Can you do three nights?" "Uuuh." It doesn't seem to understand the word "tonight"
@@supernova5434 definitely both of those aspects, but I just have the irrational fear that I will see something/someone scary in the black screen or static
Analogue horror is honestly making me paranoid especially with the VHS static and I can't get enough of it Edit: I delved too deep in it and I hate it now
@@EtamirTheDemiDeer The first one that got me into the genre was Local58 and the second one I saw was Gemini Home Entertainment. I'd say I'd be able to watch those and still like them because from what I remember I think they hold up pretty good (I know Local58 does but idk all that much about GHE cause I don't really remember). My main gripes about Analogue Horror being the poor production quality in some circumstances: like voice acting and the reality of whether something should be or shouldn't be recorded. Analogue Horror is prone to poor voice acting and poor dialogue (like the Walten Files). (Quick Tangent/Tangeant about the Walten Files. I had so much hope for the series but the voice acting is what ultimately broke me and stopped me from taking it seriously no matter how hard I tried). Analogue Horror is also prone to not knowing when something shouldn't be ""recorded"". My main example being the first discussion in the Mandela Catalogue, the phone call has no reason to be recorded and we have no reason for the guy to record himself near the house. Seen too many ARG's with Cameramen who have no reason to Cameraman which defeats the purpose of a believable ARG. (Quick Note: Don't use ARG as a term for Analogue Horror unless the Analogue Horror is an interactive game like a real ARG. I've seen people say something's an ARG just because it's a story online or something. It really doesn't matter but it's a microaggression of mine) The reasons I listed out are also why I think that Local58 and GHE hold up so well, no way to be prone to bad voice acting if you don't have voice actors and no way to be prone to unrealistic recordings if it's strictly on VHS.
Thank you for watching this on video. I don't think I could watch this by myself without getting real creeped out being I'm alone at my house but watching you watch it and having your commentary made it much easier to deal with lol.
From what I gather. Alternates use mental manipulation to get their way. Primarily fear. If they can scare you, they win. That’s why they look either uncanny or messed up in order to strike fear into you. But if they can’t scare you, your safe. The intruder on the tv blue screened I believe because his attempts of making the victim afraid failed and it went for his friend instead, manipulating the other and getting the score it was aiming for. These things are truly a fascinating horror to learn about
The stuff he censored was mostly suicides, and it sorta makes sense for him to censor them when some episodes of the mandela catalogue are age restricted
What I find amazing of this guy is that he also made an Ironic Analog horror called 'The Scrimblo catalogue' , where he took every criticism in Mandela and made it Ironic as possible with the Acting, The overuse of certain things in the Genre, and the creepy faces. Even in Scrimblo Catalogue vol. 2 he made fun of the VHS and unreadable text, with cats as the creepy spooky things

My favorite channel for those is Plainly Difficult. Good thing to note, I believe Alex said in one of his streams that all of his videos are actually made on Imovie all on his phone, I might be miss remembering though.
As stated at the start of the series, they are using psychological warfare to break the person down into madness. I love how theyve been keeping that theme so strongly relevant
I wonder if alternates could mistake someone with gigantism for some of their own, and then they just approach the person that's in fear and just says " How have you remained undetected for so long man? You haven't even offed one of them yet!"
22:13 - something invisible hit my window (the blinds are open) with an audible thud immediately after I heard this and had the thought "haha what fear I'm not scared." RIP me I guess. When I watched wendigoons review of the Mandela catalog, I was so scared my heart felt super tight in my chest.

16:17 analogue horror doesn't rely on jumpscares, it's the fact that they take something potentially real or relatable and makes it eeire that makes it scary
Jumpscared are overrated
Real horror has no boundaries, no morals, it is raw like nature.
@@nanashi2146 I guess that's true. Mainly from what we've seen from the alternates is that they use digital visuals to incorporate their delusions on people. If the religions are strict when it comes to their religion being shown on screen, then other things that certain general populations find virtue of would be taken advantage of.

Jumpscares work only in the moment, but the thought of something creeping in the corner of the dark side of your room keeps you up at night...

So its Basically Like the Clown from I.T
They can shapeshift into different beings, They can turn Human to look like us and tricking them (Deceiving),
And can turn to Eldrich Horror like beings whatever they like.
They use fear as a Weapon, Just like I.T use fear so their Victim is Weak and Delicious.
I.T can also go through Televisions, Making Illusions and Making our Mind Break,
just like the Teen who killed his own Father because I.T encourages him to do it.
I.T Hunts and prey his Victims just like those Alternates learning everything about them and their Fears.
OK but what if my biggest fear is the alternate ?

Then they will T-Pose at you and Assert Dominance.

It really doesn't matter but it's a microaggression of mine)
The reasons I listed out are also why I think that Local58 and GHE hold up so well, no way to be prone to bad voice acting if you don't have voice actors and no way to be prone to unrealistic recordings if it's strictly on VHS.

From what I gather. Alternates use mental manipulation to get their way. Primarily fear. If they can scare you, they win. That’s why they look either uncanny or messed up in order to strike fear into you. But if they can’t scare you, your safe. Although analog horror is hard to watch, it’s so good. Such a creative style of horror, it’s based around audio, lore, and atmosphere. The visuals and audio are key factors in this, and the suspense and paranoia it gives you.
Edit: it’s 5:50 am and I’m still paranoid, why do I do this to myself
I remember the first time my friends convinced another one of my friends to watch it while I listen trough a ps4 party, and it was scary. Then I got a recommendation form windigoons channel and of course I watched it while my power was out so it scared me so bad I couldn’t go to sleep for a hot minute. I am glad he now gets to experience this too.
Tbh I think they should make a mini series on every county like the ones on 27:52
I get obsessed with nuclear stuff from time to time myself. I printed out a "How To Survive A Nuclear Disaster" document one time. I've also watched all those really depressing nuclear movies like Threads, Testament, and The Day After. I've also watched tons of the EAS vids and alot of short documentaries on nuclear disasters. My favorite channel for those is Plainly Difficult. If you haven't watched Threads or Testament please do, they're really awful but I feel a realistic depiction of how messed up things would be after a nuclear disaster.
> How To Survive A Nuclear Disaster
That's the fun part; you don't!
Do you remember the video where it’s like a country gets attacked? A guy and a girl hop into a car, it’s made to look like a amateur video, where the guy is holding the camera. Video ends with a nuke?
@@WaxYourButt did you find it?
@@winnerdiego4562 still haven’t :(
@@Melonist you probably don't, but you can, though you most likely won't want to
Lol muta's face after realizing what he read at 44:43 was priceless.
Stumbled upon your channel and I must say, I'm impressed man. Well spoken, clear concise and obviously intelligent. And the variety on your channel is huge bonus. Keep up the great work 💪🏽
Good thing to note, I believe Alex said in one of his streams that all of his videos are actually made on Imovie all on his phone, I might be miss remembering though.
Yeah on a q&a he said that a good chunk if not all of the series were made in his phone if I'm not misremembering
@@Queroseno_0 It's shown in the Scrimbo files too with how he creates his resources
I love how you were kind of joking about it in the beginning but by the end you were truly freaked out.
As stated at the start of the series, they are using psychological warfare to break the person down into madness. I love how theyve been keeping that theme so strongly relevant
Hey Muta, I think the lore of this ARG is that God had an alternate and people worshipped it instead of him and that kickstarted everything
@@ANO-.-NYM that’s the lore dude…
@@ANO-.-NYM Or, y'know... maybe he just forgot to call it an analog horror series? But, whatever gets you your internet points.
@@ANO-.-NYM when did they say it was real?
@@ANO-.-NYM an ARG implies interaction and a game element, this is unfiction not an ARG. nobody implied its real, chill out.
@@ANO-.-NYM I meant 'forgot to say it', as in right after saying "it's not an ARG".
Think with your brain, and not your ego.
Video starts at 2:17
Thanks, you're based
I wonder if alternates could mistake someone with gigantism for some of their own, and then they just approach the person that's in fear and just says " How have you remained undetected for so long man? You haven't even offed one of them yet!"
Bro imagine how the person might’ve felt-
41:05
i love how they used a clip from Phasmaphobia made me chuckle
I distinctly remember the Adam & eve beginners bible cartoon from my childhood, it's probably part of why I enjoy Mandela catalogue as much as I do
Alternate: I am inside your home
Muta: That’s nice
I got goosebumps for a second cause those things are strikingly similar to the monsters I used to imagine as a kid x'D
22:13 - something invisible hit my window (the blinds are open) with an audible thud immediately after I heard this and had the thought "haha what fear I'm not scared." RIP me I guess.
Now there are many loud thumps that I would usually associate with my downstairs neighbors, but gosh darn if they don't have me thoroughly spooked.
Dude this is one of the only times where Mutahar has genuinely been scared in like the 7-8 years I’ve been watching
I could never watch shit like this without Muta's commentary to keep me calm lol
I remember when I knew nothing about it i just thought it was something about the Mandela effect until I actually watched it and was BLOWN AWAY! great series so far cant wait to see how it turns out.. well done to Alex Kister for this I've not been so invested in anything since I am sophie
I HATE how bad the Mandela catalogue actually scares me because I KNOW it's an AR horror and I KNOW that logically I have nothing to fear but my instincts are at heightened sensitivity and all of a sudden I'm jumping at the wind and cowering from shadows.
This is BRILLIANTLY unnerving, well done Alex
"That's definitely not something you wanna see at 3 in the morning"
... I'm lucky that it is only 2 in the morning
I first found out about this when I saw Wendigoon's video, after that, I decided to watch them all by myself. Let me just say that I appreciate you viewing vol. 2 with us Muta, I can never watch them by myself anymore. I had a doppelganger encounter when I was younger (I saw my cousin leaving the room when in fact he was sleeping in my bedroom) so watching these vids fucked me up a whole lot than they should be.
Ok that doppelganger encounter sounds so fucking terrifying
the mandela catalogue is great! it made me adopt a healthier sleeping schedule!
I started watching this around Christmas when my cousin showed it to me overwinter break and we stayed up till like 4 am watching it I love this kind of analog horror
If u ever released the full uncensored reaction of the Mandela catalog on a pay to watch platform I'd totally pay. Cuz I'm too scared to watch the actual videos on my own
This was a pretty interesting and creepy ARG. Especially when you watch this legit on 3am. As I am. Lmao!! It's quite the experience, isn't it!! It's nice to see you make a video about an ARG again. Those kinds of videos are always so good when you make them!! So thanks My man, Muta. I hope you don't have that much nightmares after making this video!! lmao!!
Love how we usually see mutahar always being energetic but he gets silent slowly in this video
just wanted to say, besides the video's theme, I really like the editing you're doing where you separate background and foreground from your camera and overlay it with the video here and there, it's neat
i hope the mandela catalog maintains its wave of popularity! its so cool and i cant wait to see where the story goes next
I love this; I honestly can't wait to see more! I like how this series makes you think about religion, corruption, etc. and just makes you really think about everything. I just love how taboo and creepy it is!
