Bro, I can't believe you don't have like 10M subscribers. This was insanely helpful, because most other tutorials will tell you to use expensive machines and you simply used your oven and some 3D printed stuff.
So glad I finally sat down to see somebody do this DIY and tiny mistakes or not it works so well! Your work is super clean. My next visor will use your techniques. Thanks!
do you have any links to where you bought the petg plastic? I have an ODST helmet I want to make a visor for. The visor that I have for it now is rather flimsy.
Thank you for this video! I’m tired of garbage visors from cosplay outfits. My goal is to use original parts and “reverse engineer” then with higher quality materials. This video is exactly what I needed for a visor replacement!
Really informative video, thank you! On another topic, did you eyeball all of your Mark 39 cosplay or did you have any reference template? That's what brought me here in the first place, so I'm kinda curious ^^
All plastics give off toxic fumes when heated. The short answer to whether plastics should be heated in conventional cooking ovens is no. The toxic fumes absorb into the interior surface of the oven. Those toxic fumes are reheated Everytime the oven is used for baking. As you can imagine, those toxics fumes will imbed in said baked food. While it likely won't cause immediate danger, the notion has to be made that it is essentially poison being introduced into food over time, and that can cause some undesirable effects on the overall health of those who eat that food. While I love these tutorial videos, I do wish that people providing these videos did the research and report the potential health risks of using the oven for both vacforming and food preparation. Tutorials should always cover potential health risks for techniques being used. No disrespect intended. Just felt obligated to share useful information to any who watch tutorial videos.
@@jacobrutledge7962 mine never had that, however i do know that recently petg has been mixed with cheaper alternatives, many base resources were low due to pandemic so to still supply/compensate cheaper crap is made. Friends of mine even recieved plexiglass instead of petg to vaccuform (it failed horribly of course)

Would you do a video on how you did the Striker helmet? I'm curious to see how you got the LED lights in and working like they do

Dude your videos are so underrated.
Wauw that looks awesome. I have always found it difficult to find lenses for helmets and this is one I will remember. Thank you so much!
This is the first time I've seen vacuum forming! That was so dope! Thanks for the advice.
You're welcome 😁😁
Wow, I’ve looked into this before, but you get right to it (no bs).
I’m going to make one now for an upcoming visor build.
Thanks❗️💯
your builds are so inspiring. I'm in awe.
thanks :D

can you direct me to the video where you made the LED light thing inside?
Oh my god you are so amazing! I subbed and liked. You deserve more subs. You are so talented. And I am a huge fan of your Iron Man props.
did you use the food oven for it? i always see people recommend against that.
Looks good. I didn't care for 3D printed buck either. Tons of prep work that didn't hold up well to the heat. Clay is nice for organic shapes.
Wayne you are such a great person !
thank you :D
How long did you let the material bake at that temperature?
Need this question answered asap, does this mean the oven and pot are still food safe?
What LEDs did you use. They look awesome
Where did you get the ana amari shrike helmet? Or did you 3d print it?
Looks awesome btw man keep it up!
designed and printed myself, thank you! :D
Is petg safe to heat up in oven I cook in?
Do you also do commission work? Or only tutorial and own projects?

Thumbs up ans subscribed for the simplest vacuum form I've seen to date
thank you for this video it was a very helpful video ,educational and very worth being on youtube🌊
this is very helpful I'm thinking of making a helmet/ visor this will be very helpful.
Can you make a red hood mask???
So Cool ! I'd like to challenge this way.
Really informative video, thank you!

I am trying to make klouds helmet, its really hard
Is it safe to heat the petg in the oven tho? I mean, doesnt it give off toxic fumes? Or was that my ex?

Hey I just got the same thing from WISH and I’m trying to figure out how to turn it on
The same thing?

That's up to you man
How hot did you have to bake your PETG before you could vacuum form
Think it was 230 C
@Wayne's Workshop I tried that but my pet G was getting hazy

@Wayne's Workshop lol this sucks, any way to find the real stuff? I need to do a master chief visor
@@jacobrutledge7962 don't know man, i haven't vacuum formed since this video and haven't had a need for petg sheets since
