And there's even evidence in the soil in some places of the earth that a great cataclysm happened about 12000 years ago right around the time when all the ice caps melted. A lot of cultures talk about serpents raining from the sky when the great flood happened. And 12000 years ago, the Earth passed through a meteor stream and some theorise that it is possible that a meteor hit the ice cap in the north-western part of the US which instantly melted the ice caps in that region which would explain the very odd apocalyptic looking landscape in that region. And that other meteor impacts might have happened around the world around the same time, creating more massive floods. And well a meteor or even a stream of meteor fragments hitting the earth could look like serpents descending from the sky. And for all of those cultures, serpents were very important in their folklore. Like Quetzalcoatl for the aztecs. Or the serpents representations the Egyptians often did in their art.

I don't recall ever hearing that the waters covered the Earth for 150 days; was that after the 40 days of raining ceased? It hardly matters--I understand that it was an inordinately long rainstorm and must have seemed like forever. I believe that these stories are not the literal truth, but that they are told in terms that humans can relate to, especially when the concepts are difficult to comprehend. Thank you for helping to make them easier to understand!

The Bible actually mentions 150 days, you need to read again. About the Flood duration:
      Strong rain - 40 days
      Weak rain - 110 days
      Flood waters - 150 days
In total, the Deluge was 150 days, the Rain was 150 days too, but it was stronger during the 40 days.

    • @Christian_counsel
      @Christian_counsel ปีที่แล้ว

What do you find untrue about it. I think it’s been misunderstood. The scripture says Noah brings 2 of every KIND and only land dependent animals that breathed air. So that rules out all A LOT of creatures.
And every KIND. That could simply mean 2 lions would cover every cat like animal. 2 lizards could cover a wide variety of Retiles we see today. Not to mention animals were much smaller back than and it would have been likely it was near babies of each kind that entered the boat.
This ark was 500 feet long with multiple floors. And researchers estimate it would have been about 7,000 total animals (and this was over estimated). So It’s totally possible it could have fit 2 of every kind back in that time.
So I’m not sure what’s not to think couldn’t be true

Because of this, we know that it was not written by the prophet Enoch.

The Ark carried 35,000 animals, and could carry even more, but it was not necessary to have more than 35,000, the Ark was a perfect vessel (except it's incapability of sailing, it could only float and face tough waves), it was basically unsinkable, God designed it well, and Noah built it exactly like the instructions said. Obviously Noah wasn't good with that, he was probably sad that thousands of people had to drown in the floodwaters, but unfortunately it was too late for them to repent from their sins, as the Ark's door was shut by God.

    • @Kirkland_Drip
      @Kirkland_Drip 3 ปีที่แล้ว

GOD said He'd never destroy the earth with water. Revelations states He recreates a new earth and a new cosmos in front of us, solidifying He is Who He claims to be after wiping it all out at Armageddon.
Also it is theorized that as spoken in Genesis 6:12 "and the sons of God came unto the daughters of man, and bore children of them. These were the mighty men. The men of renown." the world was wiped out because Jesus "the Promised Seed" " the Redeemer" could no longer be born of human lineage as lucifer, now called Satan, was trying to interbreed with mankind, so God reset the world through Noah and his lineage because he was "perfect in his generations" and killed off these "half breeds" born of the line of the angels cast out of Heaven.
It's actually thought that these half breeds of angels and humans were what inspired all Greek mythos and legend among others such as Roman, Egyptian, Byzantine etc. And that there are a core few of very powerful fallen angels that switch from hegemony to hegemony, or world power to world power and this is why they all worship generally the same gods archetypes.
Hercules, and all like him, actually existed under this paradigm, and the gods of old were actually killed off during the flood some 4400 years ago. Either that or they were able to escape the atmosphere before and returned but were subsequently slain or their bodies decayed no longer preserved through access to the technology they had before, either from God directly or a mechanism available in Heaven.
The flood was more than rain. It was catastrophic. It is said the fountains of the deep broke open, huge subterranean water chambers filled with salt water and the layer of water spoken of in Genesis which may have enabled humans and animals to live so long by filtering out ultraviolet rays, during creation also came down, presumably frozen in space causing the ice age.
They might have created bodies for themselves to possess and this is how they ruled after but also more literally this is the Christian explanation for alien "greys." It sounds out there but so many reports convey attention. Allegedly they're artificial bodies to possess. Better than pigs ha. It's a Bible story. Nevermind.
Anyways, very fascinating to think of if the Bible is true. I believe it most statistically likely that it is so I hold to it.
Comment in this any questions I know alot of very fun theories that are out there that are fairly substantiated. If you're a hostile angry person I know you'll comment anyways, but I really am not looking for debate anymore, but genuine conversation.
In the end the Bible to me truly does appear as a great love tale but I have alternate views than the main church and believe many Scripture points to that almost everyone is saved, and the histories are made to accomplish God is sovereign, we have real choice, were rewarded based on this and He recreates all proving what He said, and proves love by the wounds in his hand and body that He "wears as badges of honor". Pretty marvelous.
      Cheers.
Go watch Dr. Kent Hovinds age of the earth, it's long and interesting, he goes into much more and is pretty funny.
It's quite possible the centaur, minotaur, and other creature were aberrations made through genetic experimentation by these fallen angels to prolong their bodies and give God the finger at the same time and that they could have actually existed.
What a world to live in.

Noah's ark is a myth! How did 8 people feed all those animals every day? In fact, how did they store enough food for a whole year? How did they keep the food fresh? Where did they get enough fresh water for all of the animals for a whole year? What did they do with all the poop? The ark only had one window, so methane gas would have been a huge problem! There was a flood that literally covered the area of human population in the middle East and parts of Egypt, so yeah to them the world was flooded. There is a scientific article over the damage and geologic examination of how it could have inspired all these flood myths. As humans, we need a way to explain it so a deity flooding us as punishment is the leap we took. Whether or not it was a punishment is personal belief, but an ancient wide spread (regional not world spanning) flood is a fact. I personally am a Christian and take it as a Godly message, but I can also see the fallacy in throwing in absolute belief without total evidence. There was a factual and literal flood of a large area in our history as evidenced by multiple myths of a massive flood in a connected area with unconnected belief systems.

@@EveryoneElseIsWeirdImNormal the phrasing on your comment is poor, but I feel like this is a dismissal. My source for this is from three seminary meetings and a physically seeing the geologic layer I mentioned along with a few other less credible sources due to their age but they still hold up. Of course "earthquakes happen" that's how a flood of this magnitude would be escalated on coast lines. The Bible, the Epic of Gilgamesh, and a few others mention earthquakes as causing "water to erupt from the earth." (Paraphrase) In short, yet again I assert there was a mass flooding. Whether or not you believe it to be divine is irrelevant, my personal beliefs aside, I'm just telling you the inspiration for the myths and the story of Genesis.

Great piece of literature , a great story. Sad that people believed this story as true event, they believed various animals could live in same boat, they believed the earth was flat, they believed there was no rainbow on earth before this event. :) This is a great dramatic story. people of ancient times had a tendency in believing astonishing stories as true event and they kept telling these stories generation to generation.

Excuse me? The people of the Middle Ages did not believe that the Earth was flat. The Ancient Greeks and the Fathers of the Church said the Earth was round. They said Earth's shadow during an eclipse of the moon and the shadow was round and they say masts of ships sinking below the horizon. They knew Earth was round.

It said in the bible that after the creation of Adam and eve paradise lost and the rise of evil the gods were upset because mankind refused to listen to reason and became full of sin
Left with no choice the gods decided to destroy everything that evil and turned to Noah and his family to build the ark and gather 2 parts of animals a Male and a female after the water flooded the earth and killed off everyone who are not loyal to God and lasted for 40 days and 40 nights afterwards the wather receded and the ark landed on mt Everett

Adam fell spiritually and was devoid of reason.
Now he is chewing grass in the skins of an animal, that is, he has become like an unreasonable sheep, and then the Bible calls people that way.
The lamb (Christ) came to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
This is a figurative language, the description goes through the personification of spiritual concepts.
The flood is also an allegory, because the water in the Bible is the spiritual drink - the word of God.

    • @Kirkland_Drip
      @Kirkland_Drip 2 ปีที่แล้ว

@@aureliano_37 if the Biblical narrative is historically true and accurate, I'm saying the potential for this theory as an sufficient explanation for the repeating archetypes of gods and half "gods" transcending hegemonic cultures is worth exploring as a primary consideration for a physical interpretation of the perpetuated mythos of the multitude of cultures. I believe it's exciting and highly interesting and personally hold to the twin theories that either it was fallen angels cast down to earth or it was highly evolved beings. Though I don't think evolution holds significant merit, and don't personally ascribe to it being the most likely, the compounded assumption they aren't here anymore and the establishment of a catastrophic event potentially wiping them out lends credibility that they were stuck here and were most likely fallen angels calling themselves deity or "gods" which is what Lucifer had wanted. So in short - yes haha. I believe that they were fallen angels. :) But that's my opinion substantiated by my own rehtoric and (to my faculties) exhaustive explorations.

The people from the 21st century will never have a chance with the apostles.
There are really high standards to having just a few prophets and a few apostles.
Enoch and Noah had really high standards to receive honors.
God already had a planet full of people who had only dishonor so The Great Flood shows
that you cannot hide the sun with one hand with standards and reality.
Enoch who is the first prophet with his high standards transcends the future beyond the 21st century.
Is there a point for high standards? Without Enoch who is the first prophet, other prophets, and apostles I would have never known standards and reality have a connection and are important because of the great flood.
