Hi , sorry to hear that you are having issues getting started with stamping! One of the most common problems we see with the stamper not picking up polish is pressing too hard/too long on the stamper or over scraping. If you feel like you are pressing down like using a rubber stamp, you are using way too much force! On a scale of 1-10, the pressure should be a 1, just barely touching the plate with a quick rolling motion. Here's a live video showing how stamping pressure affects the outcome of your stamp: th-cam.com/video/d88NVRcISxY/w-d-xo.html
Scrape the polish away from the plate just once or twice gently. If you are scraping repeatedly or too forcefully, you will remove too much polish for a proper pickup. Be sure you are cleaning the plate in between use with 100% acetone only as using other types of removers will leave a residue on your plate affecting your pick up. Here's a video on the Dos and Don'ts of using a clear stamper to help you! th-cam.com/video/PlvgFyZyHO4/w-d-xo.html
You may have to roll the stamper instead of pressing it down. That's the mistake I was making and now I can stamp with no issues. If you are rolling but it's still not working, make sure you are moving fast enough. The nail polish can dry quickly. Hang in there ❤
@@NikkiYoung52Thank you so much! Your instructions worked perfectly.
@@iamebonylaquise I am so glad to hear that it worked for you! Do you post your nails online? If so, I would love to see them!!!
It's interesting that this short says to use regular polish for stamping and a regular top coat,. There is specific products for both and regular polishes most likely won't work.
Hi! Some regular polishes also work in stamping as long as they are opaque enough with just one coat. But hey, good catch on that! Thank you so much for pointing it out ❤
Thank you👍🏻
Can you suggest the brand of nailpolish used for stamping
Hi Desiree, you can check our website at www.maniology.com for stamping polishes. 😊
my stamper won't catch the enamel from the design😢

What if we don't have any scraper
Hi! you can use any old gift card or credit card as a scraper as well. Thank you.
Is the nail polish used for stamping different from the general one?
Good question, the answer is yes! Stamping polishes are very pigmented, so often, 1 coat is enough for full coverage. The application itself will feel a little different than regular polish, as stamping polishes tend to be thicker.
What plate is this? I love this
It’s plate M089
❤❤
Hi! I tried this and the nail polish came off when I scraped it off. Was I doing something wrong?

@@Maniology Ok I’ll keep that mind! Thank you!
what kind of polish is used? is it the regular one that is bought from any stores? or is it some kind of special polish?
Hi, it's a stamping polish. Stamping polish will work best as they are formulated for such a purpose. However, regular polishes might sometimes work too depending on the formula and opacity. Try with polishes you own that are opaque in 1 coat and they should work.
@@Maniology Can you do it with uv gel polishes? I tried stamping a few times but the image doesn't stay solid on my clear silicon stamper instead I pick up image and it quickly becomes drops of polish, so the image is not neat and tiny details are smudged. Same effect as oil on silicon - gathering in drops, no lace or image visible.
@@maryquize Hi! You can stamp on top of your completed gel manicure. However, you can't use gel polish as the stamping polish. Gel polish does not transfer to the stamper correctly. You can use regular stamping polish to stamp. After you are done stamping, just topcoat with your usual gel top coat and cure a final time.
@@Maniology thank you so much for an answer! Its really helpful! I will try this out!🤗

Can you use gel nail polish or it can only be regular on the plate?

You can buy gel stamping polish. It works. You cure it straight after stamping and then do top coat.
@@fuzzybunny3235 How long do you cure it for?
@@kimberlyshepherd270 UV 2 minutes or LED 30-60 seconds.
Why polish doesn’t stick to the silicone pad ☹️ Ta
