I don’t know why when watching this video, I want to eat Mango shaved ice from the beginning to the end? Haha! It was super fun to see you skiing on the snow, until the snowball fell from the tree, but fortunately it didn't hit Kim. The fondue, cheese pot cooked by Naick looks delicious, I really want to have a bite! And that plate of pancakes made my mouth water! The San Francisco Bridge is really cool, it really reminds me of many movies and TV series, looking forward to the next episode, thank you very much for sharing! 👍🥰🙏🙌
I'm sorry Kim, but I couldn't help laughing every time you fell. I used to cross country ski quite a bit when I was younger, and had my own pair. Good for you, keeping a smile on your face, and appreciating the beauty surrounding you. - Coreen
Oh dear guys. Glad you had the snow chains… and yes Kim falling while cross country skiing… that would soooo be ME… lol. That snow is like some of our winters that we used to have here in NS. Looks like you are still having so much fun. Cheers 🍻 and keep the videos coming… big hugs…
Brand new subscriber here and I've already fallen in love with you two! You are both such authentic, sweet and strong people. I'm excited to continue following your journey and I truly hope you have better mechanical luck along the way! ❣
I love how optimistic you 2 are You are the sweetest cutest couple I know Cannot wait for your videos I am so excited every time you up load Keep up the great work optimism and don’t ever stop being so adorable 🥰
A large rimmed baking sheet (16 x 22 inches) would be an excellent addition to your van. For eating on the bed, dish drainer, tray for taking food outside, etc. It is super easy to store, too. Great job on your videos!
I love that you’re sharing your journey with us. Will you please tell us a bit about the insulated magnetic pad you use on the back doors please? The gray one. I’m interested in it for the insulation properties for ours. Thanks!
The pad itself isn't magnetic, we just use some magnets to clip them on the back door. We bought it in Belgium, it's 7 layers of insulation material and works really well. It makes such a big difference when it's really cold outside. We bought it at a webshop: www.obelink.nl The roll was approx 1.5m wide and 3-4m long.
Well, you went to my 2 favorite places in the US! Tahoe is #1 and San Francisco #2. I lived in San Jose for more than 40 years and have spent a lot of time in both places. The video of the snow in Tahoe made me nostalgic, I loved the winter trips when we had that much snow. (I got snowed in twice, where they closed the roads, it was wonderful.)
It was so wonderful to see you guys back on the road! I got emotional seeing you drive over the San Francisco Bridge. I loved the extended cooking scene of Naick making fondue. It looked incredible, especially with the cold snow all around you! It’s always remarkable for me as a viewer when you go from extreme weather to a warmer climate. Please, please post on Instagram when you cross into Mexico! Be safe & well, guys!
Cross country skiing is a work out!! We had skis in garage from childhood thru my teens .. We lived right at great trails here in Southern Maine.. We would get so much snow we had to shovel the roof of the house several times each season!! So happy you guys are safe at back on the road.. I’m along for the ride.. all the way to Argentina!!!
Wow all that snow! Reminds me of my childhood growing up on the other coast of North America. Love Cracker Barrel. So yummy. Also nice to see you guys appear in Overlanding Sophia’s video today. All my favourite van lifers in one video so much fun. Looking forward to seeing your drive on Highway 1. Enjoy!
The winter snow in Lake Tahoe is beautiful!! Next year I plan to visit Sacramento and San Francisco next summer, so I will miss the snow adventures. Have a safe drive through California and Mexico!! 🌉
So good to see you travelling again. Back in happy mode. That looked like fun albeit very cold. We have friends from Australia at the lake right now too. Safe travels. Love from Oz 🇦🇺
Hallo Naick en Kim, wat een prachtige beelden in de sneeuw, supermooi. Ikzelf zou er wel niet graag inzitten. Geniet nu maar van het zonnetje in San Francisco. Veel plezier nog op jullie tocht. Groetjes, Gilberte
BUmmer when the solar panels get snowed over. Do you have a telescopic ladder and brush? I bought a set of "Kevlar" snow socks in Sweden. Much easier to put on and work in mud and sand too. Not sure of legality for roadside checks though. LOL I've also been across Canada to Alaska in my van but nothing compared to your adventure!!! Strangely, the only time I ever needed my real snow chains was on my home the Isle of Man, which normally gets very little snow. - I'd love to get down route 66 and into Mexico and even further, as I love Latin music..... will be following.
What an van life adventure! Lake Tahoe is a beautiful winter wonderland! Oh Kim, I hope you weren’t too sore after your big fall after cross country skiing. The makeshift shower was very inventive! 😂 The fondue…yum! Perfect meal on a cold wintry evening! Cracker Barrel is always great for breakfast food. Hope you enjoy San Francisco and the warm sunshine! It’s a wonderful city! ❤
My tailbone survived the fall haha. Hurt for a couple days, but it was alright after! And yes, we had so much fun :) we really enjoyed our time in the snow and our time munching on pancakes, haha. Thanks for watching!
Thank you for sharing another great vlog. I know you made it to warmer weather. Just watched Overlanding with Sophia. Take care and have a lovely week. 💕💕🇨🇦
Were you camping in Marin? I grew up there-- Go to Antarctica! You only live once. There are cruises you can take...not sure of the price but do it if you can!
Loved the vlog, it was awesome like the rest of your content. You're already in Mexico now, you met with tread the globe and overlanding Sofia. so how many days are you filming ahead? Keep up the good work 👏
Going to Antarctica is number 1 on my bucket list. It is about $25,000 USD (flights not included) so it willl have to wait until I retire and sell my house-about 5 and a half years. Can’t wait to see the next time one.
Wow, that sounds like a wonderful plan for Antarctica! Great thing to look forward to :) yes, it is sooooo expensive. But it's also a once in a lifetime thing
What a beautiful area in the snow! So glad to see you up and running (or sliding) again! And I guess a road trip through the US wouldn't be complete without a trip to a Cracker Barrel! :)
when would you cross the border to Mexico? Would you record and introduce in detail about crossing boeder. It was said by some people that Mexicon border are so bureaucracy that cause difficulty to pass with a vehicl. thanks.

That's SO MUCH snow guys! Please take care!!!!
I always loved the giant fireplace at Cracker Barrel. So much heat coming off that thing on a cold day. Plus the pancakes are amazing.
I'm sorry Kim, but I couldn't help laughing every time you fell. I used to cross country ski quite a bit when I was younger, and had my own pair. Good for you, keeping a smile on your face, and appreciating the beauty surrounding you. - Coreen
Ahaha I'm sure you were admiring my technique 🤣😉 I'm not very good at sports that require balance but still had lots of fun!

So cruel that Naick just stood there and laughed 🤣🤣🤣
Your excitement of seeing anything we see all the time in movies, is joyous. Enjoy your time there. At least it will be a little warmer. Stay safe.

The Wisconsin cheese definitely got the Naick & Kim stamp of approval ;) glad you liked the video!
You inspire me to get back into cross country skiing. Looked beautiful. Ps you guys are the most adorable.

I agree with Kim that a trip to Antarctica to see the penguins and seals would be really cool.

Exactly! :) still dreaming of those pancakes...
What kind of camera do you guys film on? Couldn’t find that in the description
Canon EOS RP + Canon 10-18mm wide angle for general vlogging. We also have a Sigma 70-300mm that we use a lot for b roll and wildlife :)

Woop woop!!
