Welcome home ........loved all this amazing road trip, loved the bike ride even if it was virtual ,........... thank you for all the effort and hard work for us to enjoy travelling sitting behind a desk.........😍😍😍😍😍😍👍
Tickets book, logistics coming together - a full month in November!! and your videos are building up my anticipation! Thanks for showing us how lovely, challenging and important Egypt is! Excellent ride through Alexandria; those neighborhoods are the ones I'd love to see! 😻
I really enjoyed your latest adventure. Half the drivers in Egypt seem to drive badly so I think you did really well considering tram tracks aswell. I'm learning alot about Egypt watching your videos. I appreciate what you do. You deserve a nice rest.
Driving is just different here. It's kinda lawless 😅 But actually the drivers are pretty damn good here because it's so crazy. Or at least, their reflexes are pretty good 🤣 If I just snapped my fingers and replaced all these Egyptian drivers with drivers from the U.S. or France or something, it would be an instant mess of accidents haha
Lovely Gigi we love you too and Egypt loves you. What a great journey. You managed to influence me so that I visited Alexandria also it was nice and I really enjoyed it. Yes food was amazing, walking my the sea was such a pleasure. The sea was good for swimming even it was January the 8th . ❤
Wow! I would have been freezing 😅 Where did you go swimming, by Stanley Bridge? Thank you so much Mona, that's really cool to hear you made it to Alexandria ❤️
5:47 this view- I can see it in video games these days~ it’s so beautiful! ❤️✨ The blue skies, the palm trees~ I can almost feel the morning breeze and warm sun … ✨❤️
I agree Alexandria is an amazing City .in winter only .. in summer it gets crazy .. thank you for taking us on your journey to Siwa and back ..hope you enjoyed it
Thank you for those incredible videos of your journey to Siwa and Alexandria. I certainly have learned a lot about the culture in Egypt. Great job! 💪💎✨
My city , love it but unfortunately I’m far away from 40 years ago , I missed to much , thanks for sharing your experience with us GIGI ❤ , I wish for you all the best.
WOW Guiselle- you´re such a skillful driver --- for me it was CONCERNING (wanted to use another word, actually) the traffic in Egypt but drivers were quite skillful and drove me around safely. PTL... Saludos
Driving through the Delta region has been on my "want" list for quite a while, actually. It's always just about finding the time for it, taking work off, etc.
What do you mean finally? 🤣 I learned how to drive a motorcycle IN Egypt. I literally learned how to drive like an Egyptian from day one of driving a motorcycle (3 years ago) 😆
Dear Gigi, Thank you for your lovely content. I’ve been binge-watching all your Cairo videos and have learned so much! I’m curious if you can recommend any particular ATM or bank branch for exchanging money. Thanks again, and keep up the great work!
Thanks @drgoonzo634! I don't actually recommend any bank branch or exchange office in particular, but I also typically just withdraw money from the ATM's (any one that is nearby and actually working). Something to note, ATM's normally don't allow you to withdraw more than 3,000-4,000 EGP at a time, and then you must make a separate transaction. So if you are being charged a lot from your international bank per transaction (which is normal), bear that in mind. I did make this video talking about one exchange office in downtown Cairo near to Tahrir Square, with the link to the location in the description of the video. th-cam.com/video/Il6pZFgyl_I/w-d-xo.html Many informational videos can be found under the playlist titled "Must Know Information for Egypt! Ubers, Sims, Numbers, Safety, Prices and more..." on my main page. th-cam.com/play/PLSI2ywwuZ8MDAws8PHh7LvPMIhXDtkKUh.html
I've been to and filmed in Hurghada before (not with my motorcycle though - rode the bus). Honestly though....it it's not my favorite city. No offense to Hurghada. I just found it kind of boring
I'm not sure what you mean. How much time just for the temples themselves, not including how much time to get down there? It depends on how long you like to spend at temples. Some people can spend several hours, taking photos, walking slowly through, sitting outside and basking in their glory. Some have guides with lots of history to explain. Others are happy to just walk through quickly, take a few photos and move on. Totally depends on you.
Hi Giselle. My wife and I are going to Cairo in a few weeks. We were supposed to go back in October for our anniversary but unfortunately had to postpone. And now we’re going with my wife pregnant! Are there any bottled water brands you’d recommend for drinking? We’re tying to be as safe as possible for the baby.
Ohh, to be honest I might be the worst person to ask about that 😅 Just because I will eat the most untrustworthy street food, drink the most questionable alcohol, smoke the crappiest cigarettes...Let's just say health and safety is not my top priority 😆 I personally think all the bottled water is absolutely fine and safe to drink. But if you really want to get a large amount of opinions from various people (maybe some brand is better than the other?), I would try hopping on a facebook group about Egypt, something like expats in Egypt (they have more knowledge than you average tourist), or travel tips and tourism Egypt or some such keywords like that. All the best, congratulations to you and your wife, and happy travels! ❤️
Are you talking about in people's homes? Yes, it is cold in the winter. No heating, screens in windows, large gaps, nothing sealed. It's dusty and hot in the summer and dusty and cold in the winter 😄
@ Well it's pretty much all the same, my apartment in Cairo is probably worse than the hotels, hotels tend to make an effort to seal it somewhat, it's certainly not insulating but the windows usually close. In my apartment there's large gaps in some windows, others just wooden panels that close to open air. Absolutely not insulating 🤣So yeah, the hotels were a bit better but not insulated. But I am used to it so it doesn't matter, just wear winter clothes in winter in Egypt, even if inside. That's life.
Hi ...i am sad because you are leaving Alex ...but you promise that you come back soon .. i am from ALEX ..and i want thank you about your videos in Alex🙏🙏❤
Well it's certainly not from today Mahmoud. Traveling, driving, recording, exploring and editing takes time. My videos are never live and if people want to see edited videos and not just raw footage with hours of driving and nothing else, yes there's always a lag. Many TH-camrs who ride motorcycles and have a travel channel have a delay of months for their videos. This all takes time and work (and good internet to actually upload it to TH-cam where it can reach the audience). Also, it's wise not to show your location while you are actually there, for safety reasons.
You can buy me a shawarma! 😂..? Yes sure i do, i am in Hurghada for relax... thinking about Cairo again , but alone its boring.. have a safe ride back ... i miss the noise of tahrir square
@@Gventures yes ,half me,half you.. Confused...? Shawarma can be eaten from both sides and meet in the middle for dessert....,however , 2300 km my respect.. after 1000km my butt always did hurt so much ..
Heheh. I think it's very safe when compared to the dozens of other countries I have traveled to and the handful of other countries I have lived in. Are you a woman living in Egypt, or just reading articles online? Well anyways, you're entitled to your opinion, but I think it's one of the safest countries I have ever been in. Speaking from experience.
