I appreciate that you were visiting them this time for the sake of your followers, so thank you so much for sharing your findings. I am wondering if the really expensive ones are aimed mainly at tourists, or perhaps more for local business people, and special occasions. Thank you William! In my opinion, the average Egyptian would never go to Pier 88 or Crimson. Maybe for a really special occasion, but only if they are very rich. I think these restaurants are targeting rich foreigners, tourists and extremely rich Egyptians. I am a foreigner making USD and even I think these places are outrageously expensive, I almost never go here myself. Would you say that ubers are still pretty accessible at night in cairo? I see a couple of these restaurants are open late, so I'm wondering about transportation... Also, where would you say is the best place to purchase local wine/spirits?
Yes Ubers are very accessible late into the night, probably all night. It might take a little longer to have one pick you up depending on where you are, but normally there are tons of Ubers driving around all hours of the night. Best (and only) place to buy alcohol is the liquor store. It will all be local, they don't sell anything but Egyptian products in the liquor store. In fact, it's nearly impossible to buy imported alcohol anywhere. You can find imported alcohol at very expensive restaurants (for a very high price for a glass or drink), but typically just expect to have local spirts and wines at the places that offer alcohol, especially less expensive places. Definitely at liquor stores it is just local.

This was so cool. There’s quite a variety of food. Do they have Diet Coke anywhere? Just curious. I have type two diabetes. When you recommend getting a reservation, do they take them online or over the phone? Might be a silly question, but my Arabic is very very basic. I feel such a sense of relief when you’re recording driving to places and you’re behind a vehicle for a long time and then you finally go around it. It’s Almost like a video game. You sure picked a beautiful day to be out and about. Now I’m hungry. Lol.
Diet coke? I see coke zero at shops, but never diet coke. Is that the same thing? For reservations, I think it depends on what you find online for these restaurants. Some of them you may only be able to call. But if they have a website or whatsapp number, then you can make a reservation that way. The people working at these restaurants will surely know some English, or be able to pass the phone to someone who does, so don't worry about that! Lol thanks for watching my rides, it sounds like you enjoy them which makes me happy to hear, because I like to include the rides in my videos 😄❤️🙏
@@Gventures coke zero works for me. It’s another take on diet soda. I am glad it is there. :) I really enjoy the ride videos. It’s like experiencing the ride with you. It makes the destination more special.
