Something I learned this summer is that all bucktails are actually from bucks. Doe tail is a little softer and limper it is quite nice for smaller flies.
Ben, I'm fairly new to Colorado and just learning the water. I look forward to your videos every Monday. As for Clauser's river, it's pronounced Sus-kwuh-hannah. And is that a shiner? Looking forward to next Monday.
Good one Ben! My most tied and used flies. From dime size on #10 hook using squirrel tail hair, up to 6”on 2/0 hook. I actually tied an 8” articulated one last week, but then that’s not really a Clouser. Your right, there’s not a fish in this area that won’t bite it, fresh and salt water. You Have to tell us the bear story please..was it Huge?! I’m going to be wondering about that until you do.🐻 😂 Thanks as always.👍👍Have a great week.🎣
The Clouser Minnows have fallen out of favor in the past several years with a lot of newer fly fisherman do to all the new and improved streamer patterns , but don’t be fooled as the Huge man says name a fish it hasn’t caught , they will catch fish everywhere. Thanks for the video stay Huge

Happy huge day everyone!
I’d recommend 6/0 white or chartreuse thread instead of black because black stands out on the white buck tail
Short and sweet..... just like a Kelly Galloup video. lol

Thank you!
great videos
Bob said you put your lead eyes too close to the eye of the hook.
You should stick to woolly buggers, Corey.
Wooly Bugger, or Wooly Booger? Is there a difference?
@@lordofthemound3890 Yeah, personal hygiene. Duh.
@@lordofthemound3890 They're all boogers when I tie them.
just smashed some bass with these last week im gonna make some more now!
Thanks for the video. What's the limit on grizzlies in your area?
Crappie love 'em!
Important tip, insert taper into the fly, taper the hairs in your hand before tying in and tie the belly in shorter than the top.
I know you don't care about which thread in this video but can you do a video on different thread types to use? And not color I mean
Black and purple is all I fish in the winter for Redfish! Best fly ever! BTW I got my stucker!! I'm Ken and I am a Large flyfiherman HAHAHAHAHA
Great video!
Have to do the cheater salmon egg fry next! 🤣
Red eyes! I asked Mr. Clouser at a recent presentation why all of his eyes were red? “To simply the inventory.” All authentic Clousers have red eyes.
How do you catch a polar bear? Kick him in the ice hole!
Does have bigger tails
Maybe try next time
Uhhhhhh. I've lost it Ben.
hi
From this day forward, I shall call it "Butt-Tail" after all, what is buck? (or woman). :-)
Hey Ben get in contact with me and I can get you here to Indiana and put you on big largemouth bass
First?!
Or…last?
where is a good body of water to try out that Fly??
Literally any, if it has fins it'll eat a clouser. And even fins are optional
Honey, you did NOT tie that belly hair in the right way, based on Bob's instructions.
Yah … duh … nuff said.
Polite.
