@@b-17gflyingfortress6 This is probably it. Some sort of fetish for being unlawful. Probably an ironic case of someone coming up with a law for good but only making the issue worse. Putting "expiration dates" on humans like that probably just needs to stop happening. We should just look at any case of abuse on an individual basis and maybe we'd be much better off for it. Since just because you're 18 doesn't mean you are completely immune from some 40 year old guy taking you in and getting you dependant on him to survive. There's no magical lines, abuse is abuse. Common sense needs to be applied.

Exactly, more often than not, all those acusations are made up. There are so many cases that initial offense isnt that big of a deal and when police gets actually involved truth comes out at the expanse of the realy minor offender being young and dumb. Social media works as ultra/uber catalyst for inflating source material and atracting attention seeking flies all because they had self interpreted bitter experience. Its so sad that actual offenders are then brushed off because they dont give a fuck about social media status, how many likes or followers they have - they can always make a new account.

I think the most important take away, like he said you’re not gonna be able to stop these people from existing, so you have to have the conversations with your children about this stuff. Like it’s ok that this happens, weird people send you weird messages it doesn’t make you a bad child because other people do that but you have to be able to speak up and get help when it’s needed. Every child knows how to stop drop and roll, every child use to know stranger danger, we need children to know you can’t say these things in public and you can’t say them online either.

yeah, i feel like we need more education for internet safety in schools or something. my parents were good about discussing this kind of thing with me, and i was a teen back on the internet before 2010, and knew how to handle these types of situations. whenever i hear people say 'yeah i was messaged by pedos as a minor' a part of me feels so bad for them cause no kid should have to put up with that shit, but another part of me is like "why the fuck did you keep messaging them" at 12+ kids should have been educated by then to know what not to do online to help keep themselves safe. sending noods is like...one of the top no-nos, and I dont understand why red flags/ect aren't being discussed in schools more, or by parents themselves. especially since nowadays sites have tons of ways to report/block people. we need kids to know there are options when they encounter bad people, at the first sign of a shady message. There's always going to be bad people online doing bad things, but even young teens have the mental capacity to understand those people are doing bad things & should be smart enough, if educated properly, to understand what actions need to be taken...which is not to continue communication with those bad people.

It's actually the viewers' responsibility to get this known by the authorities (maybe they'd have a cop in the family or a friend) if we assume they don't know much of what goes on in the internet, or are unable to track people like him.
There is always a way to help - knowing someone who knows someone who might know someone who would know what to do with this works if enough people will it. However, what happens instead is we lose sight of the responsibility when it is spread over a sample as big as the world. When, honestly, if one gets their poop together and extend for help, they will reach a potential of at least 500 people, a sizable sample, one of whom might be able to help.
Asmongold, I think, did his part.
Now, ample people know about it. When it reaches someone capable of help, so too will our responsibility. If all those women coming out can be shown to the police, there will come help, God permitting. However, if the number of his victims increases by so much as one, we may have to face the blame.
Put in other terms, if someone slaps someone in public, for example, or perhaps does worse to them, each bystander may also feel as if _someone else_ should call the cops or intervene, but it won't last long, I hope, until someone at least addresses it. In real life, it is seeing, and seeing isn't like hearing. Say the attack is continuous and relentless by one towards another. Seeing this will make you face that what you let happen is just as well as what you allowed happen.
Say that shooter in a mall got neutralised by a well-trained civilian. Absolute hero! He took the initiative and reached for his gun to condemn himself while helping people.
What I'm trying to get at is that we shouldn't treat the internet any differently than we treat, say, a mall in a respected area.

It is like people who call themselves humble, if you have to tell people your humble, um your not, your prideful attitude is quiet the opposite.
Your right not only does the kid possibly fear getting grounded from the internet but what they also fear, say they did talk dirty or send a nude they have to admit up to the wrong they did. No kid wants to say yeah mommy i sent him bad pics of me cause (then they have to make a reason) When you point out what wrogn someone did to you, you have to also state what you also did, shame can keep you from coming forward.

The reason it happens so much in things like the Minecraft community is because children are the main audience of these creeps. Their content is inviting to kids. It happens elsewhere, but there’s just so many more kids watching Minecraft videos than kids watching csgo or other things. Minecraft is an easy game to play, it’s easy to attract targets. All you have to do is run around and build shit in Minecraft and you have a flock of children attached to their iPads watching you. That’s why people say it’s always the Minecraft TH-camrs. Because it kind of is. There’s tons of them and tons of available victims.
