Never understood rich people going broke out of stupidity, even if you are completely incompetent with your money, at that point just hire a financial advisor and they'll take care of shit like taxes.
Even the scummiest, money laundering financial service out there won't let their cash cow go bankrupt.
I wouldn't be so sure on the second part.
Most people aren't raised to know anything about how money works. Especially if you're from the hood
that amount of money clouds your judgement, makes you think you are the shit and need no one.
The main reason is that these people come from backgrounds of middle class or even poverty. While rich dynasties who have a long family history of being rich are far more careful with their money and educate their children on it. I doubt these rappers ever got such an education. It is also why people who win lotteries often suffer because of it and lose all their money.

Worked at a stadium/arena for a between 2012 and 2017 and DMX played 5-6 times. Aside from always being wasted, he was a good guy, always polite to staff. His problem was he'd go out and party at the local bars ahead of time, then show up and comp vip to his 50+ new "friends", who'd usually run up such a massive tab that X's fee wouldn't cover it and he'd legit end up losing money on a sold out show.

The Blac Chyna thing was bunk. She had the kid only one or two days a week and Tyga paid for school and extracurriculars. She made a similar claim against Rob Kardashian, but he, too, had their kid for most of the week and also paid for pretty much everything. It wasn't child support she wanted, but lifestyle support.

What gets them is not big purchases but passive costs that accumulate over time. Paying a stupid amount of your own money on clothes or travels can impoverish you fast but will never take you below zero, spend the same amount on cars and mansions and you'll go broke in no time

You could do literally ANYTHING else in the world and still be set for life without working but everyone keeps falling for those 3 traps.
It's not even those 3 things by themselves. Housekeeping, insurances, car maintanence, and child support. That is a lot of passive monthly costs.
I love how some of these people can have their cars repossessed, turn around and lease multi-millions in other cars. Meanwhile, I made the mistake of getting sick and now I can't get a cup of water on credit.

It seems a little broken that you can be forced to pay over a million in child support for one child when you don't have the means to. If the amount is based on how much money he is making, then surely that amount should also be divided by the amount of children making it closer to what a less rich person would pay? If not then literally nobody could afford to have 17 children, which seems dumb.
Child support should be a flat rate for all and everybody. It's a joke that people are paying such ridiculous amounts for a single child, when some people could literally raise an entire family of 4 over 20 years with a single monthly payment they make. Make it make sense.. Because it really does not.

Not surprising as the subculture is plagued by dysfunctional families and poor financial decision-making, so as rappers emerge from that and feed back into that with their influence on that subculture, you have an environment that produces poor people with these problems and even their rich (rappers, athletes, etc.) make the same mistakes (but on another scale, same poor decision-making, same broken families).
All you would have to do is buy some properties and rent them out. You could charge expensive b/c its one of your properties and people would buy it up. Just stop by every now and then and they would freak out going "omg its that rapper dude". Easy money.
