Those things that she told you here is very clear and easy to understand yet it's so essential to be applied when you're songwriting and especially recording your track. The subtle detail and gentle touch of your vocal is very necessary but it's often forgotten. Not only for ballad or pop-ballad songs, it really matters to every genre. A singer is a storyteller, a performer, an influencer, convince the audience with every word you sang. put a delicate emotion and attitude into it. make us listener believe everything you want to tell, make us feel what you want us to feel. it's hard to apply that to every performance, but that's a key thing when you're recording. You are alone in the vocal booth, express yourself, stay focus and relax, us producer or the recording engineer isn't there to judge or harm you, we're there to help your voice, you feeling to be heard, to help you show the best of you.
