Koga using his own blood as a smokescreen is the rawest thing anyone's ever done in Pokemon lore and I wish people talked about this instead of the Arbok, who - as we see in this battle - easily survived and regenerated from being cut in half
The Pokémon manga isn’t an absolute horror of a series like how the internet sees it, but it certainly is more brutal and crazy than the game or anime.
The way Blue is written in Adventures from Yellow onwards reminds me of Piccolo from DBZ, and not just because both have badass cloaks. And Agatha in this continuity truly is a cranky old witch.
Personally I absolutely love this fight simply because it introduced my favourite character ever, Junior Trainer. I don't know why but his drive to save his Haunter and then his friendship with Super Nerd is one of my favourite side plots! It's just nice.
It's heavily implied that professor oak was The Pokémon champion but gave it up to become a Pokemon Researcher. Honestly If She Respected Oak Choices They Could of Been Closer... But she is definitely evil and petty to try to kill his relatives in the manga
I love the characters in Adventures so much, man. They also make Gen 1 be incredible cool af, one of my favorite things of it it's the use of almost every mon in effective ways, when the actual game are a glitchy broken mess with weird balancing (which makes sense being the very first one)
1:31 Ik this was written before abilities but there could be a chance the kagaskhan has scrappy which allows it to hit ghost types with normal type moves. The scyther is bs tho.
I thought the reason Scyther and Kangaskhan were able to hit ghost-types was because they learn Foresight, and while those chapters might've been written at a time when the existence of a move that allows you to hit ghost-types with normal- and fighting-type moves was already known, even if just to the mangas writer... Scyther can't learn Foresight. I thought I remembered it being able to at least in Gen 4, but appearently no, never. Although at least Kangaskhan can.
Guys let’s be honest oak had to have dated agetha and they must have had the worst break up ever she is basically drooling to keep fight anyone related to oak
Don't underestimate people holding grudges due to unrequited love. Add to that the fact that she clearly felt betrayed in their life trajectory of Research/Competition... There could be a million different reasons that you can interpret from the implied material XD
Btw I could be wrong this since there are multiple styles of translations but in the version I have read “blue” is called green and the girl with the squirtile is called blue so is that what they are actually called in the manga or is that a translation error because I get a little confused when you call “green” blue because I don’t know which is correct
In the original japanese version, the boy is called Green and the girl is called Blue. The reason for this is because the first 2 pokemon games in Japan were named Red and Green, while in the west were Red and Blue, hence the different in character naming.
I love how they added scrappy as Kangaskongs hidden ability in gen 6 Makes sense why it could hit a Ghost type despite the type difference however Scyther is a different story At least give it a night slash or psycho cutter but considering this volume was out in the 1st Gen era I can’t expect for them to account that far ahead😅

Yeah
Wait what
Bro should have spawned into the Village Hidden in the Leaves and not Kanto, haha.
Generational hating for real Agatha is WILD For all of this 💀Another criminal added to the table 😂😭Banger video again man
Wake up, hate, eat, sleep and repeat is what she goes by

In what ways specifically
@@Djwt845 He’s a calm, levelheaded rival for the protagonist who always comes in clutch and mentored somebody in their craft.
funny you mention that, Yellow gave me Gohan vibes
BRO WHY THE FUCK DON'T WE EVER SEE THIS COOL AF SHIT IN THE GAMES AND ANIME ONG 😭❤️
I encountered the manga before the cartoon, and it's honestly why I didn't watch the cartoon. There is no competition between the two.
This is most calm thing in the manga wait till the white and black arc or the platunim arc those are wild

Supporting characters are always important for good world building
Everyone in Pokemon Adventures is written so welllllll 😭💛💛
It's heavily implied that professor oak was The Pokémon champion but gave it up to become a Pokemon Researcher.

Blue learned to make a foresight tm.
Agatha " HAHA you cant hit me your using a normal move" Scyther " REVERSE
I get why Agatha is such a hater with Oak glitching the laws of Pokemon to win
Than again, it was probably that exact scene that inspired the Scrappy ability, which Kangaskhan gets, so...

If a Let's Go saga ever happens, Agatha has to be the main villain. I need an explanation of whatever happened to her after all that.
She and Sird got shafted real hard. At least the bruno (at least referenced by brawly), lorelei, and lance got extra appearances in later chapters.
I feel so bad for Agatha! She never returned!
When the gen 5 content dropping W video still tho i love you gang
Haven’t decided on a battle for it yet but when I do it’ll be here any suggestions?
@@VeeVoltI would like to see Alder vs N
@@VeeVolt I'd like to see them against Ghetsis so like Black White and N jump Ghetsis
With the way that boi was shmovin, i thought he was gonna give that granny an old fashioned tackle.

Bro just learned foresight
kangaskhan has scrappy which allows it to hit ghost types with normal and fighting moves
That ability came out in generation 4 way way after this came out
Which is crazy
Even though it's unrelated to this fight, I love how they reference Blue's teacher once again later on and it's revealed to be Chuck.
Second
Also love the kanto trip vs elite four arc
Same man same
I see a lot of similarities between this manga and future Pokémon games… And I love it.
Think you could cover the Masked Children in the Johto Saga?

blue is the one who used it
If it weren't for Allister of Galar, Agatha wouldv'e been MY Fave Ghost-type User👻
i love these vids bro. please do black vs n from black and white manga
Respect for the Kingdom Hearts music. I loved the manga as a kid
Common W as always
man these pokemon characters or trainer that i knew from the games since 1st gen is a demon, a hater or a menace to society
13:28 I remember seeing this meme in another video 😂
It’s crazy how the one constant in the pokeverse is that Agatha is one petty mf
Dang Oak was a hunk
Guys let’s be honest oak had to have dated agetha and they must have had the worst break up ever she is basically drooling to keep fight anyone related to oak

I read the part where Blue and Agatha first fight every now and then
5:49
So this is basically dark void.
If I may recommend a battle: Red vs Giovanni in the FRLG Chapter.
Will you do a video on red and sabrina
can i please have a link or website to be able to read this
Always full support sir 😇😇😇
Agatha: 😐
Blue: exsists
Agatha: 🔪🔪🔪
Straight to the prison table. Off you go. NOW AGATHA
where can i read this manga?
Who were the original e4? When prof oak was a child? And who was champion?
From what I remember in the manga the Elite 4 were never a part of the league
@@tomasfong40 ooh so it’s different then? Idk I’ve never read the Manga but it seems cool.
at least, not until the end of the gen 2 arc.
Considering normal and ghost pokemon are immune to each other, it makes sense a battle would last 8hrs.

The Lapras deserved the disrespect tbh
wtf kogas uses his blood🫠😮
Kangheskhan has scrappy
Abilities didn’t exist yet
Them Oaks just built different. I KNOW Agatha was fiending over something else other than Oak leaving
Why do I like Blue all of a sudden, I used to hate this guy
Cuz he’s cool 😎
HIS NAME IS GREEEEEEEEEEEN
If mega lopunny was in this game it would be epic😂
