  • The C4-CE's solid African Mahogany top provides a crisp, articulate tone, combined with African mahogany back and sides for balanced volume and sustain. The construction is based upon our traditional Spanish classical guitar, with the inclusion of a soft cutaway and a slightly thinner 50mm-width neck designed for comfortable playability and easy upper-register reach.
Premium design elements such as a Maple binding, Abalone rosette, and a striking Edgeburst finish will help you stand out from the crowd. The Fishman Sonitone active pickup system produces a rich and natural sound when amplified, and puts the soundhole mounted controls at your fingertips - perfect for gigging and recording.

I spent an hour at guitar center trying a dozen classical guitars. settled on Cordoba due to the slimmer nut, but even compared to the pricier ones I was stunned by the warmth of this guitar and more so that for the price it had a pickup and a solid top. This guitar spoke to me and came home with me. Just amazing. FYI my main steel string guitars are a Martin D35 and D18. This proudly takes its place beside them.

Beautiful playing as always, Travi. Nice recording as well. What all was used to record with? How much eq was used?

Honestly, Its not exactly classical guitar. It have much thinner fretboard than a hardcore classical guitar. And thats what great about it! It is much easier to play for non-classical musician, rocker for example. C4-CE - is one of the best nylon guitars ive ever played, including much more expensive instruments!! Sorry for my english))

Nowadays you can see thinner fretboard guitars and that's good, I think it attracts more people who are not familiar to wide fretboard. And I saw Epiphone Ce and that is just like electric classical guitar. The main difference from standard is it needed to be plugged. Outer look is same as standard. But if your hands are not that too small, going for standard classical guitar would be good. Because you can be accustomed to it soon. The problem for me was thick neck and wide fretboard. So when I grab barre chord then sometimes it's hard to maintain shapes. Though I don't much play those chords. Acoustic or electric would be helping for me then. And I find out that when you playing single notes, wide fretboard is okay..Too narrowed fretboard was uncomfortable for me.
Well that's the long comment haha..

Wow, great playing! Wonder if it is recorded through the preamp, or acoustically?

Pre-amp definitely. I played one of these at a store and I am sad to say it sounded like a toy unplugged.

I am thinking of puechasing this. Does it have a lower action than most classical guitar?

If you haven’t already yes. Thinner neck too so much easier to play at the expensive of some sustain but it’s hardly noticeable to most

Is it suitable for flamenco? I am considering buying one but this would depend upon the height of the strings

I didn't like the sound of this guitar. Sounds like 100 USD made in china guitars. How much is it?
