wait you guys where that from that video that video is OLD AF i remember it, i was like 13-15 ish when jumpstyle was the thing in the netherlands and france had tektonic i tried to make my french friends like jumpstyle but the french just didnt understand. all they knew was tektonic (am dutch and live in france) i still tried to learn jumpstyle onn my own.
Techno Viking made techno look badass Zyzz made Muzzing look badass Elegant Suit guy made hakken look badass Russian Malaysian Melbourne shufflers made shuffle a freaking lifestyle All of them have been so inspiring and of course Slendy makes me want to visit Australia and the Netherlands rave scene 😎
In my mind I pictured Francis shuffling to Dark Oscillators- Stereophobia (15:17) when you said "always had to be the one video" in your top1 preamble. Moonboy IMO for sure honorable mention, but Francis is the GOAT.
I love anyone Hakken. Loved this vid. Trip down memory lane. THUNDERDOME '96 and '98 were the best for me, but Mad Dog has Killed it lately with 'Reset'!
Love this style of video Slendy and top tier list! I was waiting the whole time for those legendary shuffles to show up. We had the same idea by having them in first.
The # 2 original video clip with the gabber dancers, is from a Dutch gabber documentary from 1995 Lola de la musica ! Vpro broadcasting. It captures the old school djs and gabbers.
Melbourne shuffle compilation #3 from like 17 years ago is the most iconic for me. Used to love that shit in year 8 and its why i wear phat pants and shuffle hard now. Cant fuckin wait for htid!
Back in 2007 the PHD shuffle videos introduced alot of us in California (San Fransico Bay Area) to Hardstyle. We were all listening to Zany, Pavo, and Dark Ocilators and learning the Melbourn Shuffle.. same year Heady dropped Power of The Mind... and Showtek brought FTS to qlimax.. kinda unreal when I look back at it. Thanks for the epic uploads Slendy, and for capturing new moments for the youtube fam
I've started with hardstyle and other genres from early ages, number 4 i remember just watching on repeat. Watching all of this make me remember TjP and Pae & Sarah, everything at that time just seemed magical. Even my own channel now is inspired about all this that we call Music
It's interesting seeing different styles of dance and music. I grew up in the mitten specifically Detroit in the 90's. I had a front row seat to see the birth of techno, booty tech, electro etc... we didn't have festivals we had old car production warehouses that were falling apart and full of god know what carcinogens. It was amazing and the dancers and style that came out of it are timeless. My point being is this here was very different then what we had. I appreciate you sharing. Cheers mate
Big props to slendy for thoroughly researching about the backgrounds of each videos! Big love from your neighboring country northwest above.. I really hope someday big hardcore/hardstyle events held in my country. We got SIHK and his friends organize harder style rave parties in many cities, and i hoped that they came to mine.
Nice countdown and i sure have already seen a few of the videos but my all time favourite and the one that brought my dance style to a whole nother level ist The Prodigy - Everybody In The Place I know im old lol but that was the frickin best times of my life ;)
So much nostalgia, moonboy was the first for me as well. The only clip I'm missing is the one from Thunderdome 1997! It's from some old VHS I guess, "Thunderdome 1997 | Official Live Registration Part 2", but the part that everyone knows is the one called "Rave Party 1997" here on TH-cam. Fairly similar to number 2 on this list but it's at an actual rave and pretty much everyone is gurning like crazy.
M8 honestly your videos made me finally go to Defqon and that has been one of the best decisions ive made😂 And if I had to pick a number one, then it is your public hakk video with Dr. Peacock, still legendary🔥 so thank you Slendy! ♥
I literally watched all these vids 4 days ago when I couldn’t sleep and I also found my old iPod with everything from the 2010 defqon 1 album in full swing
one of my favorite and first vids that introduced me to hardstyle is the original jack40k Melbourne shuffle compilation, also feel that techtonik needs a shout out
absolutely agreed on #1! i remember that clip was even shown on my local news one day here in USA and they replaced the music with some generic copyright free garbage, i was so upset lol
That number one spot was totally deserved. Kid schooled the world on how to get it done though a 144p flip cam and is probably the singular reason it didn't totally die out as a form of expression. If you need a follow up on underrated rave dance videos, BoLT - Leaving the world tonight (I've yet to see a shuffler with higher energy.)
Wow it took me a second to realize, but i know the guy in video 10. When you showed his youtube channel i recognized the girl, its a friend of mine lol. He's a great guy :)
I think you're missing a few big ones: Pae & Sarah's Duo Shuffle either the Now You're Gone or A Cause Des Garçons Tecktonic Videos the (In)famous cybergoth dance party, or the Eisenfunk Pong Music Video
Hectic video bro! Love that you had the gabber! I believe it's Defcon Melbourne 07 or 08? was some kind of Defqon from Temu haha I had looked it up like 14 years ago when I 1st saw that video
So, there are good tracks by the Miami-fifth Continent band (Пятый континент). Larisa Chernikova - You and Me (ты и я), as well as about Larisa Chernikova-And my mother also talked about (А мне мама говорила) a track called If we double, Not so long ago there were tracks from two girls - Imshi & Olka (Imshi & Олька) - (Bang - Bang = Пиф-Паф, Au-Au = Ау-Ау, Rainbow = Радуга, Shalala = Шалала). There is also a track from Rikki & Nikki - Rain = Дождик and from them called Raduga = Радуга = Rainbow
Love this! This is fire af! I've been following Technoviking forever. I believe it was CornHub, and he pretty much revitalize the Viking fetish for a lot of people back then hahahhahahaha.
Nice video... i wish the whole scene would move back to longer tracks like in the old days, I mean uptempo and modern hardstyle is nice, but older tracks like psychedelic from headhunterz hit just different
Filmed on a potato 😂 I reckon your first one on this video th-cam.com/video/85if-XJgcvQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=VvTsom8xV6b2A5xo should have been in there. Can feel the sting in those calves brah. 🇦🇺🏴
@slendy the number 2 video reminds me heavily of the 'Radio Soulwax: Cherry Moon on Valium' video. It's not exactly the same but extremely close, the origin might be from radio soulwax though.
Slendy, look if you want tracks from Russian hardcore that I indicated in other comments, I understand that you probably prefer heavier hardcore like Frenchcore, but Russian happy hardcore is also not bad 😉
What a journey, brought back the good ol times when the only probs were askin ur girl for a first date, how to gather enough pocket money for the next party weekend and givin a fuck about that there was no way get home home xD Jeez we got old mates
We started with Jumpstyle❤
Thanks for mentioning , love!
New album in march😊
Oh shit, I am excited for that !!

Never started with jump.
Hardcore . Never did jumpstyle
OMG!l luv this jumpstyle,rvb!
song《do like russia》,my favorite song!
You forgot "Hardcore Raver in tears after losing epic dancebattle" 17 Mio views
That did come to mind but despite the views I didn't think it was as impactful as some of these
@@slendyshow rewatch it , you totally missed the point of the video. go with the uncut version. shows you everything is corrupt
@@peterhartz263 ahh interesting will suss it!
Whos mio?
Techno Viking made techno look badass
Zyzz made Muzzing look badass
Elegant Suit guy made hakken look badass
Russian Malaysian Melbourne shufflers made shuffle a freaking lifestyle
All of them have been so inspiring and of course Slendy makes me want to visit Australia and the Netherlands rave scene 😎
So many legends in the scene (including u)
Put a lot of effort into this one! Lmk what classics make your top 10 list
In my mind I pictured Francis shuffling to Dark Oscillators- Stereophobia (15:17) when you said "always had to be the one video" in your top1 preamble. Moonboy IMO for sure honorable mention, but Francis is the GOAT.
Definitely an honourable mention to Francis
@@slendyshow I'm not from VIC to know any better, but I always thought Moonboy and Francis was one n the same?
Francis at the backyard is the GOAT!
Let the nostalgia commence!
Hope you enjoyed mate ❤
I love anyone Hakken. Loved this vid. Trip down memory lane. THUNDERDOME '96 and '98 were the best for me, but Mad Dog has Killed it lately with 'Reset'!
love to hear it!
Different side of EDM, but the 'cybergoth dance party' is iconic as well.
That almost made it in my list but I agreed that it was slightly diff to these vids
Heady definitely deserves it! SZP would probably also be very high if not #1 on a future list.
Definitely on a future list I reckon
The important rule number one of dancing: ALWAYS, yes always dance like there is no one else in the room or place! Its all about having fun
This is the No.1 thing!
Love this style of video Slendy and top tier list! I was waiting the whole time for those legendary shuffles to show up. We had the same idea by having them in first.
Those shuffle vids had to be up there for me too - thanks brah
I agree Moonboy for number 1. Its one of the first shuffle videos I came across after finding hardstyle. What a time to be alive
The best
#1 legit gave me full-body goosebumps. Shuffle compilation 3 and moonboy bring me back.
had the exact same reaction
The # 2 original video clip with the gabber dancers, is from a Dutch gabber documentary from 1995 Lola de la musica ! Vpro broadcasting. It captures the old school djs and gabbers.
So credits go to: VPRO Lola de la musica. Taken from the gabbers documentary.
Thank you!
Melbourne shuffle compilation #3 from like 17 years ago is the most iconic for me. Used to love that shit in year 8 and its why i wear phat pants and shuffle hard now. Cant fuckin wait for htid!

Super interesting mate!
My god, that Moonboy shuffle video! Great times.
Number one was the perfect video! I saw it in my early teens, and it shot me straight into the hardstyle scene.

Got into rave in early 2000s but in my adult life #4 randomly showed up and introduced me to jumpstyle than hardstyle too bad i missed out on those
Mmm, the real memory lane goes way back for me. To be precise 1996 and 1998 at Thunderdome, gabber scene was different.
Cheers from Amsterdam 😏✌🏽

I think you're missing a few big ones:
Pae & Sarah's Duo Shuffle
either the Now You're Gone or A Cause Des Garçons Tecktonic Videos
the (In)famous cybergoth dance party, or the Eisenfunk Pong Music Video
