It's a totally dead card with trinisphere on board so casting it or not is meaningless. with bridge in the deck it's also probably just better to cast than not.
I've seen people use pillage/stone rain instead of fulminator because fulminator loses to veil of summer. But otherwise this deck should really be running pillage and fetchlands/indestructible lands.
Pillage is (although I'd probably play it over Boom // Bust rather than Stone Rain). Fulminator is decent, although only hitting non-basics can be problematic in a deck like this).
was a very fun video. i totally would play it with magus of the moon main deck instead of as suggested in the side board. i think boom bust was a bit underrated but it sounds great with citadel or Flagstones of Trokair (+ sacred foundry). i once had a similar deck in mind when modern horizons came out (wren & six) but it got quickly too expensive.
In our LGS one player focuses on Mono Red prison. His deck contains almost the same shell of Chandra TOD, Triniphere, Rituals, Simian and Bridge. The big difference is he has Bloodmoon, Karn Great Creator, Glorybringer and has scrying sheet and skred. Whoever gets matched up with him regrets playing magic and dies.
I ran a similar Modern deck way back during Return to Ravnica block. Mine was red/white for ajani, flagstones, helix, and a better sideboard (with a single tithe mainboard). Boom / Bust was much better in my deck as I had fetches / flagstones. Even adding 4 fetches to this mono-red deck would make it more playable. Other big difference was that I included Blood Moon and didn't have Trinisphere. Looking back Trinisphere should have been there, but I also think you're crazy to run land destruction without Blood Moon for all the free wins. I also think Eidolon looks pretty underwhelming in this deck, not really seeing you burn them out quickly. Creature removal is awesome even without Path (Oust/Condemn much better in this deck). Having Helix/Bolt/Condemn/Oust is so much more than the set of options you have here. Either way, Wrenn and Six scares me enough by existing I would be scared to run the deck anymore at a GP, etc.

Wouldn't it just be better to run Karn over Chandra? You can move one Trinisphere, Ensaring Bridge, and Coating in the SB plus the lifegain dragon for casting red.
You know what? Adapting lands to support Boom/Bust here might be amazing and would justify cutting some rituals for some more lategame power since they won't help cast Boom anyway. Unfortunately, one or two of those rituals getting cut might have to be another Mountain so that the deck has enough of them. The Eidolons are also iffy but still good sideboard tech; hard agree on that.

Smash actually makes sense to me. Ideally, you're operating under a Trinisphere, so your artifact destruction costs 3 regardless. And if it's gonna cost three, you may as well get a card out of the deal, which is something this deck can use. You ran out of cards a lot in the video and the deck has no way to catch up against discard or whatever. Having a card replacement on a removal spell helps a little (not a lot or anything, but you're mono-red, take what ya can get I suppose).
