"As Serra's Emissary enters the battlefield, choose a card type. You and creatures you control have protection from the chosen card type." The creatures do no damage to opponent until Emissary dies, so it would only be 8 damage (grenade and bolt to face). You can't even mogg fanatic their face cuz of the protection from creatures. If you kill Emissary with the bolt + grenade, activate embereth, still only 7 damage and he dies on the clap back.
Bout to start playing again if I can scope out a good FNM scene I’m thinking this deck -3 Mogg Fanatic, -1 Mountain. +2 Fanatical Firebrand +1 Piledriver +1 Ramunap Ruins Subtotal:$105.74 Over time I suppose I could upgrade with fetch lands and Sunbaked Canyons. Or just spend half a paycheck for a fully competitive Affinity deck with Urza’s Saga’s and call it an investment. I don’t see that card being banned anytime soon?? Idk how frequently Bans work in MTG anymore.
Would one or two Den of the Bugbear be a nice replacement for mountains or castles? it would help the flooding and work as emergency goblin for granade (tho 5 lands to be able to attack or granade is a lot so maybe it's too out of range, got not that much modern knowledge to know if it's a good call)
Super spicy. If I was going to start playing modern I'd rather play that hollow one list because it's so wacky, but this seems like it can take games like nothing.
Do you think running Mogg War Marshall is better than BTE? I’ve always liked BTE more for surge and bushwhacker, but with battle cry goblin I can understand why you would play mogg instead.
This deck is 16 tix, would you say if I were to buy mtgo and get this deck I could put my self in a great starting spot to win leagues and tix so I can later buy the deck I really want? Or how does that work
I think that this is likely the most competitive deck you can get for around that price and it certainly has the power to beat the top tier decks. This said, consistently going 3-2 or better (which is how you can profit off leagues) isn't easy with any deck, so there's no guarantee.
I think it's mostly because you need a lot of Goblins and the most popular Goblin deck in Modern is more of a combo deck that doesn't really care about throwing five damage to the face (if it wins it's going to deal infinite damage, so burn isn't that relevant), so it uses other things for removal.
Might as well play Goblin Chieftain over BCG though? Perma +1/+1 and haste for the boys. 3 mana over the (essentially) 4cmc BCG. Doesn't make a token, but you could probably fit in 1-2 Warboss over like, 1 Loyalist & 1 Fanatic. Or just run 2 BCG instead of 1 Loyalist and 1 Fanatic.
Red Horizon lands would help. Not budget anymore, but a great addition in every collection for sure, especially for super Aggro decks without card draw
I'm happy to see it, still good. I don't know if Battle Cry is worth, a lot of mana, maybe devastating summons is better. Manamorphose, Sunbaked and BTE also very good
This is meant to be budget. Sunbake is expensive and devastating summons doesn't produce goblins, its good when you ood but if you don't flood you need your lands. Burning tree is the same thing as its not a goblin for goblin grenade.
I would say yes: I have heard many times that only Liliana of the Veil will truly stabilize the deck along with Muta vault and thoughtseize, just because your win con is so slim. I still play a casual version against my friends with davriel and necrogen mists. But I hardly ever really dominate, it’s always a close race.
I think so. 8 Rack is sweet, although it really wants Urza's Saga and Ensnaring Bridge, which is tough on the budget. I think it's a good budget option, but a bit behind Whack.

33:50 I'm confused wasn't that 13-14 damage?
"As Serra's Emissary enters the battlefield, choose a card type. You and creatures you control have protection from the chosen card type."
The creatures do no damage to opponent until Emissary dies, so it would only be 8 damage (grenade and bolt to face). You can't even mogg fanatic their face cuz of the protection from creatures.
If you kill Emissary with the bolt + grenade, activate embereth, still only 7 damage and he dies on the clap back.
@@shadowjamm thanks
Bout to start playing again if I can scope out a good FNM scene I’m thinking this deck -3 Mogg Fanatic, -1 Mountain.
+2 Fanatical Firebrand
+1 Piledriver
+1 Ramunap Ruins
Subtotal:$105.74
Over time I suppose I could upgrade with fetch lands and Sunbaked Canyons.
Shenanigans would have made up those last couple life points. Have that in a goblin sac deck
What is better in this deck 4 goblin piledriver or 4 war cry goblin
Is there any way to upgrade this deck?
What do you think about a krenko or 2 in deck? Maybe too slow?
MTG Player in me: Love to see more Goblin Content :D
Still my favourite tribe!!! (next to humans :3)
Token fanatic in me: Not enough tokens!!!🔥🔥🔥
Yeah battlecry goblin def flew under the radar, quite the boss creature itself if unchecked
I want to make this deck cheaper for mtgo is it still good if I go down the castles
No burning tree emissary?
the 12 whack goblin was my nickname in high school
Ouch
Great intro
Super spicy. If I was going to start playing modern I'd rather play that hollow one list because it's so wacky, but this seems like it can take games like nothing.
Excellent introduction :D

Seth: I’m one point short
Mogg fanatic: Am I a joke to you😑
Are you sure? Seth is known to sometimes not read his cards🤣
Do you think running Mogg War Marshall is better than BTE? I’ve always liked BTE more for surge and bushwhacker, but with battle cry goblin I can understand why you would play mogg instead.
What about the goblin manland for this deck ?
This deck is 16 tix, would you say if I were to buy mtgo and get this deck I could put my self in a great starting spot to win leagues and tix so I can later buy the deck I really want? Or how does that work
I think that this is likely the most competitive deck you can get for around that price and it certainly has the power to beat the top tier decks. This said, consistently going 3-2 or better (which is how you can profit off leagues) isn't easy with any deck, so there's no guarantee.
I always wondered why no one played Goblin Grenade
The token and the ability to double pump is important
XD *EPIC SETH INTRO* is very entertaining
How would you mitigate the problem of mana flooding?
Red Horizon lands would help. Not budget anymore, but a great addition in every collection for sure, especially for super Aggro decks without card draw
Horizons lands is the easiest way (but they are a bit expensive for the budget). If budget isn't a concern I'd probably play 6-ish of them.
I am curious why in match four he didnt go for the tormonds crypts?
How do you feel about goblin chieftain? i.e. the Whack lord
Do you think this is better than the old sac and whack?
Why not cast the grenades with damn on the stack in the last game?
Sorcery speed
Honestly, I think against control this deck could use more Piledrivers in sideboard.
@@beelor5777 devastating wins a lot of games, also bte is playable even if is not a goblin
Is the whack more competitive/budget friendly than the rack?
I would say yes: I have heard many times that only Liliana of the Veil will truly stabilize the deck along with Muta vault and thoughtseize, just because your win con is so slim.
I still play a casual version against my friends with davriel and necrogen mists. But I hardly ever really dominate, it’s always a close race.
I think so. 8 Rack is sweet, although it really wants Urza's Saga and Ensnaring Bridge, which is tough on the budget. I think it's a good budget option, but a bit behind Whack.
Excelent content! Im building this deck for a mini open tourment that I will assist this weekend, one question, isnt good to have the goblin wardriver in this deck? (im building the not budget edition) I think the wardriver will let me be more agresive, what do you guys think about it?
best intro ever
The cards to upgrade my 8 wack deck are already in my cart. Lol
Man I ALMOST felt sorry for that Jund DS player, you know he was calling you EVERY rude name under the sun after 2 games of double Grenades.
Such a boss win though
