Hey just letting you know, I just saw a channel by user @heathersinclair4032 who pretty much ripped and reposted your entire video library. Apparently you're just now watching Band of Brothers (again)
The bible is a great book, what I don't like is cherry-picking only the lovely stuff. Therefor my favorite is Genesis 19:36 It's about two daughters getting their father drunk so they can have sex with him, in order to get pregnant.
It’s important to note that when something such as Lot’s daughters abusing their father doesn’t mean that it’s permitted by God. And it’s important to understand and look through the Bible through the eyes of God’s Holiness, Love, his judgment, his mercy, his grace. If we don’t take the time to understand God’s character then scripture will be warped based on our limited understanding! I believe in reading all of the Bible from beginning to end. There are lessons to be learned from such corruption. As well as lessons to be learned about the Holiness of God and the Grace he bestows upon each human being to come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ our Lord! ❤️
Michael Keaton is one seriously versatile actor. From his comedies (Johnny Dangerously, Mr. Mom, Gung Ho...) to villains like the Vulture, to heroes like Batman, to chilling psychos (Pacific Heights) serious drama (My Life, Clean and Sober), the man absolutely kills it every time!
My favorite bit in the movie (aside from The Banana Boat Song scene): Adam: What are your qualifications? Beetlejuice: Ah. Well...I attended Juilliard. I'm a graduate of the Harvard business school. I travel quite extensively. I lived through The Black Plague and had a pretty good time during that. I've seen The Exorcist about 167 times, AND IT KEEPS GETTING FUNNIER EVERY SINGLE TIME I SEE IT!!!! NOT TO MENTION THE FACT THAT YOU'RE TALKING TO A DEAD GUY!!!! Now what d'ya think? Ya think I'm qualified?"
A little BJ goes a long way. When he's on screen, he steals the show. He brings the seasoning to the meal. If all you have is cayenne pepper, you burn your throat. The sequel does explore more of the Neitherworld and his backstory, but ... to mixed results, I'd say.
A small thing that makes the effects in this movie all the more impressive is that there's no CGI. Apparently it was one of the last films with no CGI shots at all, which is pretty cool considering that even _Labyrinth_ had that janky CGI owl in '86, and only a year after _Beetlejuice_ we got the water creature in _The Abyss_, which was really impressive.
If you want a LOT of Beetlejuice, try the cartoon series based on the movie. Instead of being a villain, Beetlejuice is Lydia's nutty pal and they spend a lot of time in bizarre worlds. We were going to finally see the new sequel earlier today, but we got stuck in traffic and had to cancel our tickets on the app. 😭
if they had done all the thing's you said in your comments at the end the film would be 4 hours long 🤣🤣 i think the sequel has more of the Beetlejuice character in it so you'd probably enjoy that as well i loved it
Based on your comments at the end of the reaction, you may enjoy the Beetlejuice sequel. It's much more in the world of the dead, and it spells out the backstory of Beetlejuice. I enjoyed the sequel on those counts.
"Betelgeuse" is the proper spelling of the character's name. It's derived from the name of a star in the constellation of Orion. There are a number of ways to pronounce it, but one of the most popular sounds like "beetle-juice". The reason the movie's title was spelled "Beetlejuice" was probably to make it easier for audiences to read and understand. Speaking of his name, I figure that Beetlejuice isn't able to say it due to the effects of the banishment spell he's under. If he were allowed to say it, he could free himself any time he wanted to. Which would defeat the whole purpose of banishing him. And yes, indeed, Adam and Barbara very nearly became lost souls at the climax of the movie. I didn't quite realize it myself until after reading some commentary on the story. Otho had intended to perform a seance, based on what he read from the handbook. However, the ritual he used was actually one for an exorcism. Thanks for your reaction to this film!
Can i please take a moment for appreciation to your short intro and just letting us get to the content. Also the absence of sponsor special marketing is soooooooo underwhelmingly appreciated
It's ridiculous, colorful fun. I need more films like that. Odd out and not undercutting anyone but I was the most entertained by Catherine O'Hara of all in this movie.
If you were to do a case study on tradional film making, you'd be shocked. In the olden days of the film making if the name of the movie was the a main character it wasn't necessary for us to be drowned in the title character's presence. I suggest that you check out a film called "Citizen Kane."
I like the movie and enjoy your channel. I think the cast is good and like the way that the writers avoided the subject of religion in the afterlife (or at least the first part of the afterlife. Thank You And Good Day! : )
Batman was my absolute favorite movie then as a kid. Love Michael Keaton, at the time I had no idea he and Beetlejuice were the same person. In all honesty this is a pretty dark movie for a kid to see. And I loved it endlessly. God bless Tim Burton and all his darkness. Happy Halloween! 🎃
some people haven't caught it yet or not mention it in their reacts to the sequel. But Jane's daughter also known as Jane is just as bad as her mother maybe a little more unhinged. I'll say this though If ever I have the pleasure of owning a house and some annoying neighbor comes to me and says they've been showing photos of my place to buyers and pestering me to leave with un justifying excuses such as the house being too big for me...I would sue. get their realtor licence terminated.
BEETLEJUICE BEETLEJUICE BEETLEJUICE (The 3rd And Final Beetlejuice Movie) Where BJ Actually Tries To "Evolve" From Villain To Hero. And I'm So Rooting For The "Ghost With The Most" To Kinda Step Up, And Start Acting Like The Kind Of Friend, And Hero Lydia Deetz Needs Him To Be. In Fact I Think Beej, And Lyds Should Set Their Differences Aside And Start Working As A Team Alongside Astrid (Jenna Ortega) To Save Both Worlds Of The Living, And The Dead. Also Beetlejuice Has Just Gotta Succeed In His, And Lydia's Wedding You Remember What Wynona Ryder Said in That One BTS Interview.
*Why do people STILL get so damn hung up on the Betelgeuse not being the main character of the movie? It's not a law of the universe that the movie MUST absolutely be named after the protagonists: [SPOILER ALERT!] **_Dr. Strangelove_** (The Movie) is NOT about Dr. Strangelove (The character)! **_Chasing Amy_** is NOT about Amy! **_There's Something About Mary_** is NOT about Mary either! **_Rachel Getting Married_** is NOT about Rachel!... **_The NeverEnding Story_** does NOT go on forever! 😝😅🤣Nobody, and I mean absolutely NOBODY, would have gone to see a movie called "The Maitlands".*
I loved that you enjoyed my favorite movie of all time! ❤ thank you for your reaction, can youvpleas react to the movie Heathers, it's another good movie.
Yeah, we barely see him, but… If you think of JAWS, the shark only got about 4 minutes onscreen. IF… a third flick is to be done, I think that it should be titled after Beetlejuice’ own quote, calling it, “Beetlejuice 3:Third Time’s the Charm”! 💀🪲🧃
❤BIBLE VERSE OF THE DAY❤
PSALM 34:8 NIV
Taste and see that the Lord is good;
blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.

Pacific Heights 👍
I mean all the movies you mentioned are great, but Keaton really got me with that one.

His name is an astronomy reference to a star called Betelgeuse.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Betelgeuse
Beetlejuice is the star and he's in the exact amount of time. Too much would be too much.
A little BJ goes a long way. When he's on screen, he steals the show. He brings the seasoning to the meal. If all you have is cayenne pepper, you burn your throat. The sequel does explore more of the Neitherworld and his backstory, but ... to mixed results, I'd say.

I always thought it was interesting that in the after world they imply that if you "unalive" yourself your punishment is civil service work. lol

You're right. They should have called it, "The Maitlands." Beetlejuice is good in small doses. They gave us just enough.
I was actually very impressed that she recognized “Ed Rooney” from Ferris Bueller.
Why not? His parole officer recognizes him.

You may not know this, but Beetlejuice went on to play a guy called Michael Keaton, born Michael Douglas….and also Batman
"Oh no, not Ed Rooney!"- Lol!!!
I love how this movie shows an alternative to the afterlife with no reference to any religion
It's ridiculous, colorful fun. I need more films like that. Odd out and not undercutting anyone but I was the most entertained by Catherine O'Hara of all in this movie.

Jane is the true villain of the story

The dog was responsible....😅
You may like Edward Scissorhands a bit more, same era, same quirky feel, same director. And Winona Ryder is in it also..

He's The Ghost With The Most Babe and...
Its Showtime.
There is a TH-cam channel under the name Heather Sinclair stealing your videos and posting them and disabling comments
Just saw a channel (Heather Sinclair) that seems to be reposting your reactions. Thought you might want a heads up.
I’ve been working on getting that channel reported
