It is also always in the reduced fridge and its like liquid cottage cheese. I love it. We get the Polish stuff here which is like super fermented, and it freaks people out so nobody buys it, hence the low price. I wholeheartedly recommend. I can drink a bottle of kefir and not have to eat for like a whole day sometimes.

As somebody who struggles with yogurt & pudding texture, I love the oui yogurt. Primarily the coconut flavor, but the thickness makes me feel like I'm eating a custard. It's literally my dessert.
kefir is a bit tarter than yogurt, so somewhat of an acquired taste for some people, but it's really healthy because it has a lot of probiotics. I drink the unflavored, unsweetened kind. Adding a little fruit juice makes a nice dessert, though.

Fun fact, kefir is actually (traditionally) fermented camel milk. Often made with goat milk in united states. So Charlie's statement of "its like... fermented" is quite accurate.

I once found mold underneath the lid to one of those M&M yogurts, but the funny part is that the mold was between the lid and the tin foil, but not the yogurt! Like, the tin foil was sealed so like, how the heck does mold even get there??? Stingy Walmart employees wouldn't even give me my money back, so it was either a Walmart gift card or choosing a replacement.

yes your tastes change as you age a bit but also foods just taste different now. for one just because those brands slowly change over the years and so if you havent had it in a while its totally different from what you remember and you thus dont like it (like expecting chocolate milk and getting yogurt drink, its not good). but also in recent years a lot of sugars and fats have been replaced by other things. sweetners or other fats etc
I know it's not Charlie and Matt but James Hoffman made a really good video analyzing tons of different creamers and their flavors. I'd definitely recommend that. There's a second version that omits the sipping noises if you're bothered by that. I'd still be super excited to see a liquid ladder of creamers though too
As someone who grew up eating fully homogenized yoghurt (what you said is like "cream cheese"), I absolutely love it! However, since it's entirely new to you, I perfectly understand why you wouldn't like it.
My theory is someone just left some milk on a shelf and forgot about it, but for some reason the conditions it was left in meant it didn’t develop mold, and instead of throwing it away they decided to ferment it further and boom. First yogurt babie. And it also probably happened in different areas around the same time due to the earths climate Kinda like how in Europe the Germans created sauerkraut and in Korea they created kimchi. They’re functionally the same thing (cabbage fermented underground or in a jar in a dark cellar) and appeared around the same time

The first “yogurt” started in greece actually, and it was first started off as some sort of ice cream - fermented milk mixture drizzled with dates, honey, nuts, and oats. At some point the bridge between ice cream and yogurt has no clear branch offs but its supposed to be a sundae-like desert, is how I can describe it.
Yoghurt is Turkish. It comes from middle asia. Even the philology of the word is turkic. It's called Greek yoghurt because of the advertisement in USA by Turkish/kurdish guy who introduced yoghurt to America chobani or something
Glad I'm not the only one who thinks Kefir has a pungent, sour taste to it. Shit is pretty rancid as far as yogurt goes (tho I wouldnt be surprised if there were others that tasted worse), and even my taste in yogurt is pretty middling compared to them because I enjoy Chobani! yes your tastes change as you age a bit but also foods just taste different now. for one just because those brands slowly change over the years and so if you havent had it in a while its totally different from what you remember and you thus dont like it (like expecting chocolate milk and getting yogurt drink, its not good). but also in recent years a lot of sugars and fats have been replaced by other things. sweetners or other fats etc

I feel that they should do a coffee creamer tier list since there is such a variety. Is anyone with me on this?
I know it's not Charlie and Matt but James Hoffman made a really good video analyzing tons of different creamers and their flavors. I'd definitely recommend that. There's a second version that omits the sipping noises if you're bothered by that. I'd still be super excited to see a liquid ladder of creamers though too

As someone who grew up eating fully homogenized yoghurt (what you said is like "cream cheese"), I absolutely love it!
However, since it's entirely new to you, I perfectly understand why you wouldn't like it.
Fun fact, the ingredients to make yogurt are milk and yogurt. Nobody knows where the first yogurt came from, some theorize it was a cosmic accident.
My theory is someone just left some milk on a shelf and forgot about it, but for some reason the conditions it was left in meant it didn’t develop mold, and instead of throwing it away they decided to ferment it further and boom. First yogurt babie. And it also probably happened in different areas around the same time due to the earths climate
Kinda like how in Europe the Germans created sauerkraut and in Korea they created kimchi. They’re functionally the same thing (cabbage fermented underground or in a jar in a dark cellar) and appeared around the same time

Ive read a book about this, well, about greece. The first “yogurt” started in greece actually, and it was first started off as some sort of ice cream - fermented milk mixture drizzled with dates, honey, nuts, and oats. At some point the bridge between ice cream and yogurt has no clear branch offs but its supposed to be a sundae-like desert, is how I can describe it.
Yoghurt is Turkish. It comes from middle asia. Even the philology of the word is turkic. It's called Greek yoghurt because of the advertisement in USA by Turkish/kurdish guy who introduced yoghurt to America chobani or something

Glad I'm not the only one who thinks Kefir has a pungent, sour taste to it. Shit is pretty rancid as far as yogurt goes (tho I wouldnt be surprised if there were others that tasted worse), and even my taste in yogurt is pretty middling compared to them because I enjoy Chobani!
Also count me in as another vote for bringing Matt's own tier list back; it's not about their tastes being the same or different, it's about this being a video series with two guinea pigs at the forefront, not just one.

I have to assume there was just something wrong with the Yoplait strawberry. It tastes totally fine when I get it. Should be on par with (if not better than) the Yoplait vanilla, at least.
