Some of em have histrionic personality disorder. Look up & read the Wikipedia article on it. Many employers do NOT want a black RoseAnne character in their office. What some black women view as flamboyant & charismatic? Some employers view as crass, fake & rude. It’s a balance. But it’s probably just plain HARDER… to BE… a black woman in a mostly white society.

I sit here at an upscale fitness center in the pool and hot tub area. Everyone else save for children are speaking quietly or saying nothing. Who else but two 300lb black women have to be holding a conversation loud enough to be heard by all. From past experience, I'm assuming they are trying to get my attention, as they left one hot tub to come to the one I'm in. I give them zero attention. Headphones on meditation to drown out the chatter about "he don't" and "dey better". Interestingly, I know they ride from the gym will be silent. Nothing to say.
They are also playing loud music on their phone with the speaker instead of headphones like everybody else.
Even I as a black man I dare not say anything. Certainly screams of "discrimination" would be sure to follow. The cowardly club workers, most 20 something white kids, wanting to avoid "any problems" would take their side.

When the stock market crashed, the Great Crash, it is my understanding there were people that flung themselves out windows. My point is...people cope with trauma in different ways, and blacks aren't supposed to have reaction. They're simply expected to be abused and to shut up and take it. Now, I don't condone bad behavior. My goal here is not to make excuses for bad behavior. I'm a black woman. But mixed. I live with a black woman who is dark. We are roommates living in a house. When she talks, she's loud. And sometimes she yells. I'm a very quiet person. It bothers me. I'm a broken INFJ and I hate confrontation and conflict, because of my past bad experiences. I did tell her that one time to be quiet. And oh boy, she exploded. See, that's why I don't like confrontation. It got worse. So I told the landlord about her. He said that he can't throw her out. Have to wait till two or three months to evict someone. So I have to wait till June or July. Lol. I can't move out because I don't have enough money to do that. I also found out recently the reasons why people talk so loud is because they were once silenced and abused and never had a voice before or they have control issues and can be very bossy. Another reason why is because they need to feel superior. That's a sign of narcissism. Some people do it. Black women do it more. It depends on how everyone was raised.

My family seems to be the same way; they are extremely loud, disrespectful, and careless about a lot of things. I share a house with my mother and brother, and they just care about themselves. Whenever something breaks in the house, they refuse to replace it and begin acting like victims by denying that they broke it. Or we’ll be having pointless arguments over something so unecessary. Additionally, I haven't had a positive experience with black people in general, they’re so toxic and full of drama. It’s sad.

Is it easier to believe the black girl was rude and disrespectful or is it easier to believe the white girls are innocent because they can shed a tear. I learned very quickly how to be an Oscar winning actor and got very far at college and in my professional life because of it. Either play the game or get played…

I was getting a pedicure once & there were two black women getting them as well. They were talking loud & laughing. I can’t speak for everyone but I like to go to the salon to get away from my kids & to relax.
When asked to lower their voices, the response was, “ MY MONEY IS GREEN TOO AND IT SPENDS LIKE EVERYONE ELSES.” I don’t think the workers were being disrespectful, but trying to accommodate everyone in the place. I think their response was childish. It’s a matter of respect for everyone around you. I suffer from severe anxiety so I take my relax time very seriously lol. Also, the salon is upper and charged big bucks. That’s all I mean, just be considerate to everyone around you.

People like to be racist towards white people because they assume they have an excuse since white people are accused of being “oppressive” and “racist.” But I’m sure some people are that way, I know there’s bad people everywhere but it’s wrong to assume someone’s race makes them act a certain way. As a white woman, I love all people until a person gives me a reason to not. I give everyone the benefit of the doubt until they give me a reason to dislike them. But most of the people who complain about racism are white liberal women. Almost every person I’ve met who had dark skin was very humble and understanding (excluding a few) so I think it’s wrong to assume things or assume that people want or need your help just because you’re a white liberal. Let them help themselves. They’re just as capable if not more capable.
They say the racism comes from Republicans, but Republicans like things to be fair. The Liberal Democrat handouts are the racist things because black people are small and helpless to them.

Spectacularly untrue. Black women over the years have had to endure some of the most horrendous indignities and maltreatment ever meted towards human beings. This type of treatment commenced in West Africa and to a limited extent in Central Africa where the enslaved were packed like sardines crammed ships with little or no ventilation, no sanitation, little access to water and food and had to travel for months whilst men of the European origin raped and abused them in those poor conditions. Several died en route to the new world and for those who survived, their trauma had only just begun when they arrived in the new world. So, In contemporary times, what you see is what we call Transgenerational Trauma.

I've noticed that black women are not very feminine. This is a reason why a lot of black men migrate to other races. They see asian girls and white girls, for example, who look more feminine and they are attracted to that. I think just based on gender norms American black women are the most masculine females out of any race. However, you mentioned societal pressures which are a burden on American black women. So it's this cycle where they're treated very poorly and they get angry and there has always been the angry stereotype so the ball keeps rolling. I'm not sure what the fix is. Maybe black women here can take pointers from their African sisters. African women are very pretty and they make it a priority to dress up nicely. Perhaps if black women wore more jewelry and grew their hair out, they would be perceived as being more feminine. Again, this is subjective and I am 100% against stereotypes. This is just what I've seen.

One thing that bothers me about dealing with SOME black women is the sense of not being able to address things to them without feeling like there will be or knowing there will be a confrontation. Whether you come to them nicely, and get an attitude or you have to come to them to check them just as you would with someone who is behaving in a way that needs to be addressed, it seems to always have this undertone of a possible escalated argument or what have you. This applies to the specific type of black woman that is like this and no this is not only black woman that I have had this issue with but it seems to happen most often with the black women that fit into this criteria. I’m not a confrontational person truly if anything I have been the one people try to test cuz I’m too nice or I don’t speak loudly or whatever the case is so it’s upsetting how I have had to come out of character when dealing with these type of women cuz they don’t know or refuse to resolve things without an attitude or dang near always being ready to fight. “It be ya own people”

Biology dictates Black woman and Asian men as being the least sought after by the opposite sex in the sexual marketplace. Therefore, this has nothing to do with racism at all as it is no different than a woman’s preference for a tall strong looking man over a short stocky bald one. Or a man’s preference for a slender woman with her curves in all the right places as opposed to plus sized. However, the one major difference between these two genders is that the Asian man will put in the work necessary in order to get what he wants. Whereas Black women on the other hand refuse to change and are likely to advocate for affirmative action instead.

    • @KingPrime
      @KingPrime  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Wow 😯... I never looked at the scientific approach regarding the least two sought after genders and ethnic backgrounds. Preference is definitely key. We have the freedom of choice of who we want to be with. And even in that, many will often have something to say. This is why it’s so important to protect your energy.

For example, outside of a man’s desire to start a traditional nuclear family, what other incentive do women provide that can’t be achieved outside of marriage? Nothing. Especially in today’s westernized hook-up culture environment.
This is why Asian men don’t suffer from low sexual marketplace value the way way Black women do. Because burden of performance alone gives them the upper hand. As a Latino man I've had my fair share of interactions with both peaceful and angry black women. I've lived up north and in the South. I so enjoy the love and warmth you feel from a black woman at peace in her heart, her insight and kindness is incredible. We need much more of that. However, it's all the same for the angry black women, they yell, curse and get in your face in an extremely aggressive manner and will fight you just to get you to back down it seems even if they're wrong. There's very little humility or grace on their part and even worse if they have their children with them those children are watching and learning that same disrespectful behavior and so the cycle is reborn in a new generation. In my opinion regardless of skin color human behavior is mainly learned from the environments we are in and we are hard wired from our childhood experiences. We can and should redefine ourselves to improve but that is a huge conscious choice and one that requires a lot of self reflection. I love and admire the black culture, like any other culture here in the USA or around the world there's areas where we can improve. For me the biggest is ending financial inequality everywhere. That type of oppression always breeds poverty and seems to go hand in hand with low education rates of all peoples in every country as Charles Booker says' "From the hood to the hollar!" Redistribution of wealth and open hearts and minds can fix everything. Peace and love.

In my opinion as an African, black women are fiery by nature. I have heard black American women make reference to African women as being too submissive or subservient to their men, but that has something to do with culture. Culture is a very important aspect of human society, cultural values exist for a reason, some of which can be good, some of which can bad. One example of good culture is the grooming of an African woman, which in my opinion makes a great distinction between African women and Black American women. African women who display loud and angry traits are considered to be "ungroomed" in most African societies.

It’s ironic. Black women are bitter and angry and always saying there isn’t enough good black men. And I’m the same conversation they are angry and yelling that they are strong and they don’t need no man! Blah blah blah. But they try to control who the black men want to spend their life with. I’m a white woman and my spouse is a black man. We are very happy and I’m very submissive to him. Black women could learn something about being submissive. And that is so right. Black women around the world are totally different. There was an interview about an African black woman saying that they are embarrassed by American black women. They rudeness, anger, thinking they have control over black men and calling them “their men”.

You sir nailed it. “Theatrical” is the perfect word. Not all, but most i have been around are like this with every emotion. I always thought it was a cultural thing & for attention. They seem to want their emotion for any circumstance to be taken acknowledged important. I suppose to your point of being marginalized as “black women” for having an attitude this is the result. We know the reason for this. When our government made the “black family unit” ( all for that matter later) a target of destruction ie with abortion & welfare, divorce court.
They (black women) have been for the most part left to fend for themselves. It’s shameful. But i think focusing more on the correction for that root cause, & solving that issue amongst Americans in general is what we in our communities should be working on. Getting everyone off the government teat, restoring the family nucleus dynamic, by encouraging growth in faith based values that we live by. Principles our for fathers for generations lived & raised healthy families, functional children that became productive, rational adults with. Restoration of a 2 parent house hold, mom & dad, under Gods rule, (not government or anything else) is in my opinion & scientific study proven, the only way that seems to work. This has been a problem for all of every ethnicity. I would say though “black community” have suffered the most & longest of this problem. However, focusing on whos more the “victim” is keeping anyone from working of the answer. & more government, emotion justification & retaliation (social justice) is worsening the situation!
May I suggest we all personally focus on solutions that are fruitful? Character, integrity, personal responsibility, & faith based principles we ourselves live by, not just claim to have. God bless every body.

*The fact that you as a man are talking in a normal, even tone voice and not animated or theatrical as you put it, while making excuses for black women, you sound like a parent making excuses for an unruly child.*
*The child is in the store throwing a tantrum and the parent who should discipline that child is just standing their making excuses or ignoring them while other folk look in horror or back away and wait for them to leave before venturing in that aisle.*
*So what you are saying is black women are like children, you and I can talk softly and firmly without yelling, and clap our hands and be animated but it is OK for them, because they just don't know better and it is OK that they are sitting there eating paint chips and throwing their pudding against the wall, we just gotta let them be, don't say anything because you might get a face full of pudding and make it worse.*
*Making excuses and not criticizing or shaming them is what is really hurting them.*

Definitely can understand your point of view in many areas of your response. What I’d like to know is your perspective on how I am making excuses for black women and how they are treated, stereotyped and judged by many. Many times we don’t understand the whole perspective until we are in that position. Not sure what race or gender you are, but I’m sure there are some things that you deal with and that you face on a regular basis that I am not able to relate to in a manner that you can. What is definitely obvious though is that you’re not black, which wouldn’t allow you to fully identify. And that was the point of the entire video… To educate and enlighten. So in the end, I do not support nor make excuses for people acting in a less than mature and respectable way.
I also want to add that your similarities to children on the floor throwing fits and definitely relatable to many spoiled adults, but just black women. Some grown AF white men do are this way as well 😉

@@KingPrime beautiful response here. Its not about making excuses, its about eightenment. We all have to take responsibility for our behaviors, but the sad truth is, people dont want to acknowledge what makes people act a certain way!! Sometimes straightening up a child strictly works, sometines it requires understanding and talking to. I can truly tell you a fact that other races may be the way they are because of how they are raised and approached by their parents. As black people, its always about being strict blah blah blah...and you want to apply that approach here. Its that doesnt always work, its all about a healthy balance.

When I meet someone that I connect to, I can be animated but I know how to behave and do not give an attitude if I am politely told to be quiet in theatre, store etc. Sadly this can happen with loud black women. Not all but quite a few.

Yu guys do realize that our culture is emotional?? unfortunately ppl feel comfortable judging and providing a negative lens to this cultural difference. Others benefit from being labeled spicy, tough, etc. but out label like all black black people tends towards negativity. I am a black woman who lives in silicon valley and have far surpassed making 6 figures and I recognize that no matter how socially savvy, some people will always label black people are some negative stereotype. I'm glad that I am confident, happy and free and no one can affect my beautiful internal peace. :) I shine.

Your message is refreshing to read and to know that are on the opposite of the negativity. Truth is experiences are memorable be it good or bad. When it's bad, people are quickly reminded of that. It only takes a few people to change the atmospherics be it for better or worse. That said, I applaud you for being the exception and I hope that your interactions, internal peace and confidence will continue to be a change agent in this area.

Sir, I wasn't sure how this video was going to actually go based on the title, but you articulated this very well. I sincerely appreciate your commentary. I had a situation recently which I got angry because of the double standard and not being the "dainty white women" around me. I'm not treated the same as they are when they are loud, angry and cursing around open areas of business. If I do the very same thing as my white counterparts I'm treated totally different (this goes for gender as well not just race).

For sure! Double standards are a very real thing and it is incredibly frustrating. Thank you for having the patience to watch and understand my perspective on this. The sad truth is a great many angry Black women have been impregnated as teens and abandoned by Black men. Its much less about racism and more about dysfunctional Balck culture in America. Invariably the most successful Black people are those raised in stable 2 parent homes. That's the ticket to fix all these issues

I would like to add to this. I have a brother, and he has a friend. We all recently became roommates. I have a car, and I would take them to work whenever they needed but I told them to help pay gas and tolls down here in Florida. However, they started taking advantage of me and I'll admit I let it, but when I tried to tell them I'm too tired or that they got to start using public transportation, or if I curse them out because they tell me to come pick them up but they take an hour to come they start making jokes calling me angry black woman and because I have a car independent woman. I told them if they think I'm so angry disregarding the years I would help them out when they were homeless or by me letting them share my sister and I rented house they want to start taking advantage and being rude.
To be honest, some black women are loud and rude because they always get the grunt of everyone BS. However, there is a way to be diplomat. I also never used to curse until I started dealing with my brother and his friend where they both say the N-word a lot and call all women B-words even though I have countless times told them to watch their language around me. Most black women have to deal with weak Black Men. No all black men, but a good percentage of weak Black men. Thus, I advocate for Black women to remove toxic people out of your life who make you angry because i have met beautiful black delicate women, like myself before I entertained my brother and his friend. Remove toxic people out your life and for the percentage of Black men just because a women don't want to work for you and stress themselves out, don't mean you should call them independent black women.
I have spent 29 years of my life and had never heard this phrase or been call angry until I moved in with those two lazy men.
