- Hello everyone! Yes it's me, yes another video, yes excited! I'm so sorry for the wait but I didn't expect everything to go wrong during this process so please don't take it the wrong way, I've been working on this remix for weeks!
The background of this theme is the idea of what we feel when we listen to a new theme, and the Howell theme was the first entirely new theme. So I wanted to capture that feeling by using the original theme and making it unique in the way we remember the first time we heard it, creating a whole new experience, the same kind people had back in 1980.
I really hope you guys enjoy this theme and I'm open to ideas for new remixes as I can't keep thinking of them on me own! So pop a suggestion down in the comments and I'll consider it, maybe even mash it with someone else's suggestion!

I like how it sounds like Ron Grainer and Delia Derbyshire are serenading their way through the sixties and seventies, and then it sounds like Peter Howell just burs through the door and yells "Am I late?" And then they all start playing together and then the mystery guy who made the 1987 theme (forgot his name) quietly creeps in and steals the show for a period of time.

This is just the kind of thing kid me would've sat listening to on a looping cassette pushed up to my ear... and well, not much has changed. Loving this!

I love how you made certain parts of the theme more melodic - really adds something to Howell's performance - you don't often think of it, but it actually did fall a bit flat in areas like the middle eight, and you managed to take up that slack. Very nicely done!

this version really is a superb mix, always gonna have this in my top 32 different versions of this fantastic theme.

So you are not able to share the sounds used to make up this cause of copyrights? You could just do a google drive link with all the sounds in it in the comments ;) Nobody would know.
It’s mainly that and the fact that samples are also isolated by a friend of mine who doesn’t want them out there, so I have no right to do it on that basis either. It’s also just plain rude in regards to the original creators, I mean I respect their choice and would rather not be the rebellious one in that part of things. I’d prefer not stir up shit about it.
