Awesome logo history of SBT, Jonty!!!! Just like any other Brazilian station, SBT has one of the most colourful idents ever. Also, I noticed that there were more logos from SBT that I haven't seen before, some are quite interesting, but really odd. Like this ident at 19:11 with all the pictures of faces by helicopters. Which is kinda memesy. LOL!!!! And also, that guy you put on the thumbnail and the funny ending, which is probably a guy named Silvio Santos, I'm very impressed that he's still on television to this day (began since the 1960s), which is really awesome indeed. Now that's what I call Brazil's immortal TV host if you ask me!! But yeah, like as always, awesome logo history Jonty and have a happy new year!!!! :D
@@JontyMaster For me, I might say that all of them are great, but if there was one biggest favourite of mine from the list, then it would be the 1st logo (1981-84), 6th logo (1990-92) and 7th logo (1992-93). :)
Fun fact: the idents at 14:04 and 14:45 show sbt's huge production center in Osasco, são Paulo, which at the time was Brand New, so they liked to show It off. In the main building, there are 8 Studios. All of them were in a variation of this logo. You missed 6 in the video. No biggie
As a Brazilian, I say that SBT is the best television channel here. Silvio Santos has a story that is to be inspired. Another curiosity is that this video has a duration of 26 minutes. And 26 was the electoral number when Silvio Santos tried to run for president of Brazil in 1989.
I'm not brazilian and I'm shocked at the last controversies of Silvio Santos, as well as the favoritism & nepotism of SBT and still isn't worse than what Rede Globo did

I'd love to see those in real life, especially with Silvio Santos in the screen. It is impressive how Silvio Santos is still hosting his show to this day. My first request this year any ident from Japanese ( NHK,NTV,Fuji TV and TBS ) and Korean TV channels ( MBC [the Korean one],KBS and SBS [not to be confused the channel to the Australian one which had the same 3 letters ] )

They are colourful, and does have such great CGI for the 1990s and early 2000s, even though SBT stole the design from the ABC logo from America. Sigh. And if I did have my least favourite ident from TVS and SBT, then it will be the 1985 ident from TVS and the 1991 ident from SBT, since both of them stole the HBO Feature Presentation theme from 1982, and *I absolutely dislike logos and idents stealing something from another company! That's plagiarism!* Luckily HBO didn't sue the company for that, since TVS/SBT is from Brazil and HBO is from America.

SBT actually licensed the NBC music from NBC themselves, and yes SBT did use the HBO theme but without license. So i say SBT did not steal from NBC, but it did steal from HBO.
