The 1971 pinball logo, the 1976 V of Doom logo (Videotaped version) and the 1990 Viacom logo (specifically the flute version at 11:40) are my favorite Viacom logos, I like those logos

The early logos through to 87 sound very close to the 70s era CBS Newsradio jingle package, used prominently at WCBS but also at other stations not always part of the CBS affiliates. The five notes with the last note held is the same pattern and has got to be related somehow.

Oddly, Magnetic Video Corporation used the latter pronounciation.
