I like how the opening round was full of bangers, the semi-finals were quick squashes to solidify the finalists, and then the finals was insane. This whole over-arching tournament is so good

But what really impresses me is how even the AI goes for psychology in the match, you so rarely see matches this good from AI vs. AI in WWE games. Might have to pick this one up in a sale for PS4.
That main event was one of the best fire pro matches I’ve ever seen. This tournament was literally the best fire pro tournament I’ve ever seen. Every match was an absolute banger and somehow the last much managed be a worthy finale in epic fashion. 10/10 Tournament. Even though it wasn’t the final final tournament it was still so good.
Have you guys ever played AJPW Grand Slam 2000 for the dreamcast? It's really arcade style goodness and has wrestlers that hasn't been in any other games
Fire Pro tournaments carry over some damage from round to round, so the AI will go for bigger moves earlier on the later matches. It does sometimes have the problem that a wrestler will get a freak quick win in the first round and sail through the rest because everyone else is too fatigued.

Frankly I'm glad Iizuka didn't win, as they're no way that smelly-ass 2K20 would be able to recreate his shenanigans in any sort of fun way - Iizuka without Fork and/or Iron Fingies just isn't worth having.

I know who Chono, TAKA Michinoku, Antonio Inoki, Muto and Giant Baba (Inoki and Baba I had only read about in wrestling magazines as a kid) are but that's about it. I had never seen or heard of Takahashi Iizuka but as soon as I saw the goatee and insane smile on his face I immediately knew he was crazy heel and DAMN was I right. Time to check out some videos to see Iizuka in action.

I'm just now catching up to all of these tournaments, and this one is really distracting without the music because a voice in the crowd noise straight-up sounds like a distant hair dryer. "aaaaAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaa..."

I think the finals should be done on Fire Pro cuz its easy to have all the participants and the match quality is top tier.
