    i just bought a 3shul CL1000. 30s. 126v. 500 battery amps. 1000 phase amps. i cant freakin wait. this is my first vesc controller. I'm excited. building bikes and scooters and motorcycles was getting boring. you just buy the parts and click em together like a puzzle. Now with VESC it put the mystery back in it which is fun. learning new things is fun. learning new sub hobbies within your hobbies is fun. this is gonna be a 63,000 watt e-dirtbike. its awesome to see h ow many people are into VESC and just how many controllers run it. Its actually way bigger than i thought it was. Its always cool to see the community around these hobbies. This vesc community is way bigger than i thought it was.

    I believe the wheel diameter settings is your tire size converted to MM so you can get semi accurate range setting from the app and speed. That’s what the esk8s gave to play with to get their handheld controllers to display speed accurately

    I just got these controllers working in my Yume D5 2 x 1200w motors. The Yume's don't use hall sensors and despite getting replacement yume controllers my motors always stuttered if you accelerated hard. Now they don't instead I have crazy acceleration, the wheels spin even when free-wheeling. Feels like so much more power than before! Love it! Thanks again for your videos!

    • @minalobudeshte
      @minalobudeshte 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      hi Dom, do you also have good torque at lower speeds, or let's say by start?

    • @domgoff999
      @domgoff999 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@minalobudeshte I had too much power at the low end causing the wheels to spin. So I added a throttle curve to take the edge off. Also changed max amps so the rear wheel had more power than the front as it was also spinning. So now it accelerates hard but better traction. I still have to be careful off-road on hills not to hit the throttle too hard or it will spin at low speeds. Once you get going it’s absolutely fine. It’s also really easy to go at slow speeds, lots of control on the throttle.

      Nice video btw, just finished it. What is your dog's name? 🥰 I can't wait to try this modification on my Ti30. They sound so quiet. If you are worried about overheating the motors, you should look at putting a bit of ATF fluid inside the motor housing to help cool the coils. The hot atf fluid splashes on the aluminum cover and helps get rid the heat. I've heard you can push double the power output from the mod.

    This is not the only way to remove wires from neck you have these things called pins in each connector and they can all be removed from plastic housing and rehoused easily with the help of terminal removal tool or a simple pick type tool being jammed into the release slot. Saves you trouble and makes it look like things aren't going to suffer loss of current due to re connected cut wires.

    I have the same motor as you but only a 48V 1000W aluminum motor installed in the back and why after the motor test it only says: 28A for motor?! And at the bottom it says Sensorless! How come?? And I don't think my motor can only withstand 29A current! But it sits there like that after the engine has turned! And I have a Brainpower Controller with a current maximum of 38A and I have with this main controller A because there were controllers A + B and I only managed exactly 95kmh in the air with a Brainpower Controller A main controller with S866 display and GPS! And here the Motot test says for me: Motor 29A Current and sensorless below! How many ampere current can I set the motor to in the motor settings?

    Did I see that right? You have the one throttle signal going to UART1 on both controllers? Same for the brake signal except to UART2 on both controllers? I thought those signals needed to go to only one of the 2 controllers and then CANBUS handled communicating them to the other controller? Will you add the LCD you presented in your last video? It's a Davega clone, but works the same.

      Of course filsky 75100 are smaller in diameter not in ambers..

    Hello! I received my VESC and have a question: at COMM do you know which cable is the strong current plus cable for the 48V battery and which one the controller switches on please? For all controllers it is usually red 54.6V fully charged then blue on blue for the controller with display to turn on and the third then black on black. Because I want to connect a display again and the display connection is the COMM connection, right?? And my second question please: what is ADC1 and ADC2 on the COMM connection? For the COMM connection there has to be a high current cable, a plus + cable with e.g. My battery should then come out to 54.6V with a 48V battery so that I can turn on the display. Please can you tell me so help me briefly? Kind regards.

    Hey Pirate, is it not possible to keep the original Display/Throttle?
    If not, why?

    • @d1o2n4
      @d1o2n4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I was thinking the same. My original display/throttle has two separate cables coming from it, one for the display and one for the hall effect throttle.
      The display would be GND, Battery voltage and mode select. The second cable is 5v (or 3v?), GND and Signal for the throttle. Other than mode select which would need another ADC input (already using the two available for throttle and brake), the display really just needs the Bat voltage and GND right? To turn the unit on and to read the voltage.

    • @d1o2n4
      @d1o2n4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Just thinking though, how does it know the speed? It is probably the throttle percentage. Is the throttle connected in the unit? Need someone to do a proper detailed break down of converting Chinese scooters to these controllers as its confusing!

    • @PirateOnYoutube

      It measure rpm of the motor so magnetic field changes, and calculate by dividng this value by choosed wheel diameter. Percentage of throttle .... its so 1990 ;) . I do recommend to do some research, u can learn many magic things on the way 🍕🍻
