  • It's taken me a while to get around to editing this video, but if you're curious about turning beach rocks into finished cabs, this is the video for you. I hope you enjoy the process!
The music in this video was graciously provided by Cristopher Dragone. You can find his amazing album at:

I like the music over the terrible sound of cutting rocks. When I cut rocks outside neighbors always have to look to see what that loud grinding noise is, lol Like the how you took something you found with the little guy and made them into something you can sell next summer ! Very creative and very cost effective 😊

I usually wear ear buds when cutting to cut out the noise and replace it with something better, but just being able to mute the sound was way easier. 😁 Don't tell my customers it's cost effective! hehe.

Wow!! Looks easy enough!! Got some equipment, but not all yet to cut and shape yet. Cool specimen cab or tumbled stones! Just right for some wire work or what have you! Thanks for sharing and for introducing me/ us to Christopher Dragones' music!!!! I LOVE IT!!! Can't wait to buy a c.d.! Love his fingerstyle !! Thanks again!!!👍🤗🙋‍♀️

For sure. There's so many craft ideas for these stones. Some I wire wrapped, and some I just turned into magnets. I'm glad you liked Christopher's music, too. First time I heard him play I knew I had to see if he'd let me use his music. I'm glad he let me!

This is a really peaceful video Ken. That cut unakite was so pretty! They tumbled beautifully! Definitely gives the more natural look, much preferred

Thank you! I know from my view counts people are more interested in just tumbling over cutting rocks down, but I thought it'd be a shame not to show these stones transformations.

I wouldn’t call them cabs, but they have potential. You’ll find the unakite at least will take a fine polish.

Cabs is a loose term, for sure, but they wrap up with wire just fine all the same. That unakite turned out great! I was very happy with the polish over all given the different hardnesses in the batch.

Well, it's better than the scream of metal on stone, plus I get to support a local artist.
