I think Peach "getting captured" is just her way of a "vacation".... without having guards around her during her vacay, some nice and qusai alone time. :3

For #10, the definition of "Damsel in Distress" does not ever state or imply that the damsel cannot do anything while captured. IN fact, part of the trope is the damsel assisting the protagonist in some way.
About Peach "letting herself being kidnapped", I'm sure she does that for diplomacy purposes, because you proved she can defend herself and seh doesn't. Peach is a princess, but clearly she is kind of a queen of HER kingdom, and Bowser is the KING of the koopas, so she doesn't fight back and let a third party, Mario, rescue her, while she tries to get along with both. It's crazy, but I think it's the best explanation we can do right now.

I know this video's supposed to be a joke, but this made me like Peach a bit more than I used to. I thought she was just a useless character who was just there to be rescued, but now I see that she's a very sweet yet interesting character. She may not be the strongest, but her ability to do many things outweigh that. I just hope that she eventually learns to escape from Bowser herself. That would be a funny plot twist! But then again, that'll never happen.

When you looked up the definition of a damsel in distress, it said 'a damsel in distress is a woman in trouble, typically waiting to be saved by a hero in a fairy tale.' If Mario is not a hero, then him saving Peach is yet another reason why Peach is not a damsel in distress.
Your points about Princess Peach NOT a damsel in distress make perfect sense. You may wish to do a follow up video that explains that Princess Peach is not 100% human but a hybrid between toad and human, considering her grandmother is a Toad in "Super Mario RPG".

YES I COMPLETELY AGREE WITH THIS VIDEO! This is what I've been trying to tell people, Peach is not a Damsel. She's a strong female character who just happens to need help on occasions. She's shown many times to rival the Mario Bros in terms of athleticism. And she's helped them numerous times! Super Mario RPG, Super Mario 3D World and Super Princess Peach being my favorite moments from her. Unlike Princess Zelda, who's a completely worthless character that does nothing for the Legend of Link series and is just there to be a passive female trophy at the end of the game. Zelda also never fights or has any moments of heroism, she's just a weak passive prize to be won!

My interpretation of modern Mario platformers is that Bowser has kidnapped Peach so much, she isn't terrified anymore, just bored. Uh... just stating my opinion... Peach is pretty ugly... If you open up a 3D Model of Princess Peach, you'll see her gross lips in full detail, and it looks so gross and weird. Her eyes are also so small by comparison to her lips and it looks cursed and it's a pain to look at. Not to mention Peach has extremely doll-like proportions...
Also, I just don't like Peach in general, so maybe when I don't like a character, I see ugly in them...
